If you read these comments on Hurts (especially what Press Taylor says), and if you believe it's possible, the Eagles seem to want to be on the cutting edge of the next offensive wrinkle to change the NFL.

I am not defending the pick, I am just trying to figure out what the heck the Eagles are thinking.    But this doesn't appear to be the next Kevin Kolb type situation.

Say what you want....this is pretty impressive....52 TD's last season.....

Hurts certainly qualifies as a dual-threat quarterback: Last year at Oklahoma he passed for 3,851 yards and 32 touchdowns, and ran for 1,298 yards and 20 touchdowns. This year in Philadelphia, expect a creative approach to getting Hurts involved.

Still not defending the pick.  Would have loved Mims there...or a CB/S.

Hmm.  Feels like we've finally cut the cord.  Floating out in the ether. Anger at the faceless dismissal and marginalization of it's own fans by PE.com. But extreme gratitude for guys l

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

They coexisted so well that Flacco went to Denver after a year.  That's their model for this??????????????  😂 Good God Doug.

ATL asked for our 2nd, ie Jalen Hurts. Yeah this pick could have gotten us Lamb. Think on that.

Where's that report?

Welcome to mediocrity eagles

Wentz would fetch huge draft capital. Could Hurts?

I know Murray and Lamar have teams enamored. Could he fetch a 1st and 3rd?

I just don't even know. The drama created is way too much.

I agree with you totally — but Miles Sanders was #53 last year and his contract is 4 years/$5.4M total

Eagles are going to try and sell a #2 QB locked up for 4 years at $1.1M per year who can go in and win games in an emergency

Logan Wilson. I can’t watch this crap anymore

The explanations are worse than the pick itself.  Baltimore traded Flacco in Jackson's second year.  Surrounding Carson with good people.  Are there no good people at positions that will you know help Carson.  F off Howie and Doug.

The more they talk the dumber they sound

Is this guy as good as Kyler Murray or Lamar? Seems like a poor man's version.

Foles was drafted in the 4th I think.  Still note similar at all.

I thought he was talking about signing Foles, since he referenced surrounding Wentz with guys who can help him.

A peasant man's versions actually.

I blame Thorson for all of this. If that bum could have just been competent and held the reigns as a backup, they don't make this pick.

My God, even Trump has better press conferences than these bozos.

Chinn...wilson...nah didnt need those guys

fire howie

Gibson to Washington.  F us, man.  Both them and Dallas got better and we got a qb.

Bad drafting catching up. I feel we are ruining Wentz.

We will be be in third place this year. Gibson would have been a nice weapon for Carson. But he’s got Hurts for his new secret weapon lol

Howie take a major coronavirus financial hit and about to get busted for insider trading?

It all makes sense now.

So a $10,000 bet would yield $150 million?  Hmmmmm.....

howie could have kept the pick he traded to the ravens and drafted jackson

So while I can understand the idea behind it, the player and value I can’t. That’s where I’m at a complete loss
