Yeah that makes me think the eagles aren’t telling us something about wentz or how they truly feel about wentz. Cause there’s no way Jordan love was falling to 53 and they were very interested in love (assuming that’s accurate or correct with caplan).

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Wentz is done. Wow. Nothing else makes sense. He was the right pick at the time. But this really hurts us. Put a fork in it.

Wentz' contract tells you all you need to know about how they feel about wentz.  Stop it.  wake up

I’m legit scared. The GM that fixed Chip Kelly and put together a SB roster isn’t one that justifies this pick without a reason. Either Howie got a crack habit, or he has a real reason to think Wentz won’t play out his contract. Either way is bad. But the worse one makes waaay more sense. My tin foil hat is all the way on.

I wrote up all those options, but it really boils down to 3:

1.  They are idiots.

2.  Something is wrong with Wentz.

3.  They have an incomprehensible genius master plan that we can’t understand.

The first two options, at this point, probably surprise me less than #3.

Think the Bears would take a 4th for Trubisky? Could get him too.

I don't agree with your post but I see what you did there.

It may not be about how they feel. It could be how he feels. He was out of his mind after that cheap shot concussion. That may have freaked him out. He may value his mind over his legacy. See Andrew Luck. This may have nothin to do with how the team feels. In fact, if that’s the case, it doesn’t.

Agreed, and I don’t think Hurts is the guy if we had to turn to him. I don’t want to have to go through the QB cycle again.

Nope.  Incredible that eagles fans would be talking about the "best case" scenario for a backup QB being a trade for a 2d rounder.  Google "philly special."  maybe you didnt hear about the exploits of a certain backup qb not too long ago.  take your gingko and calm down.

They signed Foles as a cheap FA backup. They didn’t use a 2nd round pick on him.

They obviously dont believe in Wentz long term. It must be the injuries. You don't draft a backup QB in round 2 or a gadget player there either. You also dont draft a QB in round 2 to try to flip him a year or two later for a 1 when you have several current needs.

If Jordan Love fell to 53 then that would have made more sense.

It's the injury history.  And the last one was a pretty serious concussion.

If caplan is correct as the eagles were very interested, Jordan love who NO WAY was making it to 53 or out of the first round. So you think if the eagles were very interested to a point they’d draft consider drafting in the first how do you want to sugar coat that one? Cause we need a Taysom hill offense with a first round QB?

That was a year ago. For the third straight season he ended the season injured. Its the only logical explanation for this.

Your words- HOW THEY FEEL ABOUT WENTZ.  nice try

If they knew of a definitive non-viable problem with Wentz, they’d have drafted Love at 21.  If they knew of something imminently jeopardizing 2020, they’d have signed one of the high profile vets on the street.

2nd round is the just right time to draft a QB when you have new reservations about a committed starter.  Maybe it’s a flare up of a prior injury, post concussion issues, or some candid discussions of an early retirement.

There's definitely logic here. I mean you don't use a second round pick on a pure development guy.

Does Alshon’s contract tell us all we need to know about Alshon?

Jordan love was a first round QB. If caplan is correct (and that’s a big if) you aren’t talking to or very interested in a first round QB to just be a backup or gadget QB.

again caplan can be talking out of his arse. If he is then F him. However if he’s being honest theres definitely something they aren’t telling. And if it was just due Diligence then caplan’s an Ahole for not saying that and saying very interested to get tweets.

I just think they overthink things. They overthought the value of a backup QB and convinced themselves it was worth a 2nd round pick. Simple as that, as weird as it is.

So that’s option 1...they are idiots.

I think hurts that is true. What’s the explanation of Very interested in Jordan love rumor? That is the one that catches me more off guard if caplan isn’t BSing us. Jordan love was never falling remotely close to 53. He was projected as a mid to late first. Maybe just gather info on him and doing due diligence? However i wouldn’t use very interested in that case. He would’ve said just doing their due diligence

the king of the red herrings strikes again.  Yeah it tells you that when they signed him they were committed to him.  Now, apply that logic to wentz and you're making my point.  You understand that there was a point in time when they gave him that contract, yes?

Not how they feel. What they know. They may FEEL that he can be the future of the franchise and can win us championships. But if they KNOW he’s thinking about packing it in, they have to do what they have to do regardless of how they FEEL.
