Hmm.  Feels like we've finally cut the cord.  Floating out in the ether. Anger at the faceless dismissal and marginalization of it's own fans by PE.com. But extreme gratitude for guys l

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

No team in NFL history has tried to fill that niche in round 2.

Every QB taken out of the top 20 is that niche.

That is, the odds of landing a legitimate starting QB after that point is very low, you're basically drafting backup material and hoping to get lucky.

The difference is when you take the typical late 1st, 2nd rd QB, it's sink or swim, most can't win you games unless they pan out as starters because they can't improvise when their QB skill sit is inadequate, but the athletic ones can even if they're not starter material.

Foles is the exception among "immobile" QBs, do you think the Seahawks thought Russell Wilson would be a top 20 QB when they drafted him?

Hurts isn't an athletic "flyer," he's started for two programs with National Championship aspirations, he got beat out in Alabama by a high 1st rd pick (#5).

I mean if you believe he can fall out of the top five that’s your belief. I think it’s extremely unlikely. I was just pointing out current QBs who had issues but were highly touted still managed to stay top 10 or 5 even with those major issues.

If we are being honest imo Herbert was really status quo As a QB besides accuracy (which frankly 2017 he had it and 2018 it dipped then back to what it was 2019) and yet somehow managed to still managed to be top 10. I think it’s ridiculous that he and tua went 5 and 6.

I said it was possible.  I didn't said he would.... omg.  Let it go, please.  I already said uncle.

At this point in the draft, you can't know.   He's the highest rated pass rusher left that I see.  Why wait?

Texans take an OT

Revenge for taking Dillard!

why jump for that pick?
