Hmm.  Feels like we've finally cut the cord.  Floating out in the ether. Anger at the faceless dismissal and marginalization of it's own fans by PE.com. But extreme gratitude for guys l

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

The local Philly media are really salty at the moment.  They are competing for who is the most miserable journalist right now

LOL, that’s EXACTLY what I said I’d offer for him, if not Sul.

I’m surprised that Douglas is still on the team. He’s going to be your fifth or sixth corner and he’s making $2.3 million. I don’t see how they keep him and pay him $2.3 million to be the fifth or sixth corner

Yes, but the Eagles basically got him for free.   He is worth that risk to see what happens here.   If he doesn't do anything the Eagles haven't really cost themselves anything.

All he costs is money. They were a lot of players(like free agents) who'd only cost you money by just signing them. This is the one they chose. A player who has dealt with injuries and didn't even get 200 yards last season in an offense that can scheme anyone open.

10 bucks wouldn't cover the gas to get there

With the prices now... it might.  But, I'll go $10 plus gas.  How's that?

He’s still overpaid.

Yup. His contract is guaranteed at 2.95M.

That's the way I felt about him before the draft.  I feel the same during the draft.   He was fast.  Not sure what's left.    Better insurance to Desean than what we had last year.

I actually wanted to Eagles to trade for him last year during training camp. When they had him and Pettis put on the block to be the insurance policy. Frankly I think the Niners would’ve gotten more for him last year

YES!!!!

Potentially some help

Wait do we still have pick 168? We got Hightower. I do like that pick.

JJAW in the slot, Jackson/Reagor/Hightower/Goodwin outside.

Hightower is a nice pick

my guy!

Will that pick help some people get over their boo boo?

Hightower, more speed

Ok now i like that pick

FINALLY!!

Right, dude is basically Agholor.

We need speed, we need speed. Trade for Goodwin.

Not that one.  It's just a little funny to watch the goal posts moving.

some want just speed. but we need actual talent at WR for Carson. its a embarrassment what Wentz has to be throwing to.

I know nothing about Hightower.  Is he actually someone you all are legitimately excited about?  If so why?

very solid pick i really like Hightower.

I would consider teaching Reagor the X.  He can be a balanced WR.  Let Desean/Goodwin tag team the Z for a year so Howie/Doug/Wentz can see the benefits of having that kind of vertical speed from two positions.  Between the chances of Goodwin figuring it out with a new WR coach and the chances of Desean staying healthy, it might work for a year.

Then next year perhaps we pursue a permanent solution at the Z or get lucky with a few years of Goodwin.

All this speed is about spacing. It makes life on Ertz & Goedert sooo much easier.

Now if Howie can trade Alshon for anything, it's a good off-season.
