it's not even a bad pick.  you look at the guy's stats and what he did in college, he's a steal at that spot knowing where tua and love went.

it's just (again) the birds didn't do what people wanted them to do.

I agree fully.  I don't love the pick but I've come around on it.  Just mocking the idea that people are completely losing their mind over literally one pick that this point.  The rest of the picks have been at worst mediocre

Hmm.  Feels like we've finally cut the cord.  Floating out in the ether. Anger at the faceless dismissal and marginalization of it's own fans by PE.com. But extreme gratitude for guys l

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

He is on the Shelton-Slayton spectrum IMO.

Which is a nice flier at this point.

Oh you're right! Also, his salary is not guaranteed correct?

Not sure when his roster bonuses are paid out, but if we’re on the hook, it’s minimal.

They definitely didn't do what their franchise QB wanted them to do

Jalen Hurts is the only "bad" pick of this draft so far despite all the whining around here.

Eh, I disagree.  It's a very underwhelming draft if you ask me.  Hurts adds to it.  Not trying to beat a dead horse but there were SO many players sitting there that would have filled a need for this team and made them better next year and in the following years.

None of the players drafted stand out to me on paper.

Finally have a return guy with Hightower.

The only thing I have "whined" about is Hurts

Hightower put on weight and still ran fast at the combine. That was good to see.

Hightower has some Todd Pinkston to him...which may be a much better fit for 2020 than 2000.

Reagor returned for the Frogs.

my guy!

We’ve been talking about him a lot. I like it

Then that comment doesn't apply to you.  Plenty of others have taken it well beyond that.

is it something people can complain about?

No, but he is rather slight. And I immediately saw Pinkston.  If he has a career like Pinkston, we'll be good

I know listening to kist and Solak kind of compared him to Robby Anderson. I think Robby Anderson was actually taken in the same round as hightower.

Anderson was a UDFA.

Left for a few minutes and we have Hightower and Goodwin?

Lol. Like a roller coaster with Howie. I approve. We picked up another pick too right?

I wouldn’t even call it a bad pick.

Shocking? Yes. But thinking it over, thinking about it from a TEAM perspective and roster construction view, it makes some sense.

Picking there absolutely.

Was he? For some reason i thought he went 5-6.

was. but the NFL anderson was always my comparison for Hightower.

I'd like to see the Eagles trade down again at #173.  Not much, but some.   Get another 6th or early 7th.

Get your guys in the draft versus competing for them as UDFA's with other teams

Forgot we had this pick at 173.

Teams with cap space + WR needs after the draft: Dolphins, Browns, Jets (even after Mims). We have a good trading relationship with each of those 3 teams.
It's doable, but hard, with Alshon.
