That might be my favorite pick this entire draft. I loved Wallace throughout this process. I’m excited to see what he can do I actually think he is going to be a legitimate starter for the Eagles in a couple years and could be the third safety this year if need be

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

They more or less traded a 5th for 2 6ths and a 7th

And a future pick, I believe...

You guys crying about spoiled picks and the broadcast should just go to Twitter. You get the picks on time and you get analysis.

Outside of these stupid musical performances and having to reveal depressing stories I think they’ve done a phenomenal job.

I think Louis Riddick is fantastic.

kinda like saying the surgery was great if the guy hadn't died

That profile works at all positions. I'd be fascinated to see him at center. If he can do that, whew.

I just look at that profile and think "Todd Herremans on a diet".

They're literally almost 20 picks behind.

Bet one of those gets moved for next year.

That’s my hope as well.

We need to start getting back to the point where we are acquiring multiple future picks 1 round higher than we traded.

That way we can avoid the position we’ve found ourselves the last few years and begin flooding the roster with cheap young talent year after year.

michael warren is the way to go now.

My guy. Hoping. Won’t wow with his speed and not great at pass pro but a bruiser between the tackles with good hands in the receiving game.

John Elway had a heck of a draft. Kudos

Guess that's what happens when you're drafting for your job

At this point there’s a bunch of guys graded similarly

thats fair, just not a fan of how the Eagles approach the draft, like at all.

Taking projects in the early rds when u should be getting guys who can contribute right away.

Then trade away mid rd picks for more later picks.

to me you should trade away later picks to move up in the draft to get better talent. Im ok with trading away a 4th this year for a 3rd next, or that kind of trading, not ok with trading away a 4th this year for a 5th this year and a 5th next. You are moving away from the higher rated guys, not towards them.

swapping 6ths for Marquise is a meh.. its a push.

Yep, but that was the Cowboys trade. Eagles took their 164 and traded with Dolphins for two picks and then took those two picks and traded them to Bears.

This was what I first thought... undersized short armed OT with great movement ability? Sounds like a Kelce understudy.

He might be the Eagles’ biggest fan.

In most drafts I would agree.   But in this draft so deep at WR, at some point the math suggested that at least some Round 4 type WR's would legitimately fall into Rounds 5 and 6.

I'm not suggesting Hightower is some kind of stud savior.  I'm just saying there are probably previous drafts he would have been selected higher.

Nope.  BUT... he's a much more talented WR4 than we had last year.  He could develop into a decent Z.  But, as Desean insurance goes... he's a major upgrade as a deep threat.  He offers jet sweep options that we didn't have last year with anyone other than Agholor... 🤮    And he can spell the other WRs come in, run some deep routes and space the offense even without getting a single target.

Jordan Poyer, Jalen Mills, TJ Edwards, Jordan Mailata, Matt Pryor, Joe Walker, Blake Countess, Beau Allen, Anthony Rush, Nate Herbig, Gred Ward, Corey Clement, Cameron Johnston, etc.

Nothing overwhelming, but legit role players can be had here.   And most importantly they come cheap, which matters a lot now that Carson is getting paid $120+M.

ohh i get that, its just it takes like 10 sheety picks to get one decent guy to turn out. Your odds would seem better when you have more to choose from.

But nothing is a given

Is this the draft or the covid coverage? Seriously?

I recognized him.  Myron Rolle, he was a Rhodes Scholar who went to FSU.  Good for him to get into what he has, but yeah... if I wanted corona coverage, I've got plenty of options... but for the draft, for some reason... only 1.
