Love Watkins. @eagle45 has to be pretty happy right now.

Is this Howie’s way of saying JJAW was a Joe Douglas pick? He might not make the team.

Hmm.  Feels like we've finally cut the cord.  Floating out in the ether. Anger at the faceless dismissal and marginalization of it's own fans by PE.com. But extreme gratitude for guys l

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Eh...

I don’t hate some of the guys available, but would not project any de drafted now to make the roster.

JJAW in 3 WR sets between 2 fast WRs actually works. That will be Reagor/Jackson if they're both healthy, or Hightower/Watkins if someone gets hurt.
This is not the time to trade JJAW.

yep.

Reagor may be a 4.2 guy. Goodwin is a 4.2 guy.

We have Jackson who runs like a 4.2 guy.

We drafted Watkins who is a 4.3 guy, and Hightower who runs like a 4.3 guy.

Theres no room here for Jeffery, JJAW, or Ward. Sorry.

We can squeeze 6 on the roster. Alshon is the obvious odd man out.

It was so (rightfully) skewed by that second pick

Just had to give it time. You could pretend we took K'Von Wallace there and Hurts with that pick and not a single person would be the least bit upset. It would be an amazing draft.

Sucks too.  I like Ward.  If hes good enough, he will beat out 1 or 2 of these guys.

I would say Ward or JJAW have a chance to beat Goodwin for slot.

I want Michael Warren, or Corbin. And then Tuszka for the final 2 picks. At that point we will have addressed every position of need except #2 CB.

Tuszka would be great.  I can't believe Kenny Willekes is still available as well....that would be a low-risk move now.

Wentz is the type of QB that can be a big play at anytime, like Mahomes.  He has the mobility and 1 flick of the wrist can sling it downfield for big plays.  He couldnt do that because they didnt have the WRs to do so.  Now if these fast WRs can separate and spread the field.......look out!!!!

We shall see. There's more to being a good WR than speed.

I'd rather use Greg Ward for that.  Trade Sideline for 5th or 6th if you can.

I think Jeffrey makes it but after today I'm not as sure. I hope actually he doesn't. Let the new guys fight it out during the season.

I wanted 3 WRs, I got 3.

I’m starting to think this may be damning to jjaw. This amount of volume makes him seem like an afterthought

We still need some size at WR. I’d be shocked if they moved him. He’s an actual X. None of our additions are.

It’s not like drafting Jeremy Bloom, if that’s what you are asking. They are productive players from smaller schools, but legitimate WR’s.

Extra credit for the Jeremy Bloom reference.   Well done.

4? Umm oh yeah. Damn you Howie I asked for 3.😁

I don't see JJAW going anywhere. Jeffery of course is gone. Ward is interesting. I'm not sure what they do with him. My depth chart as of now would be Djax, Reagor, JJAW, Goodwin, Watkins, Hightower with Ward on the outside looking in. I think they carry 6 on the active roster

Assuming we don't get decimated by injuries (knock on trees), is our offense better than the Cowboys now?

BGN have been childish since yesterday.  It's kind of funny seeing the bloggers out there get in such a tizz about the draft and nitpick any and every thing the Eagles do

You think so now? I mean I'm leaning that way a little more having added 4 WRs but I'm still not sure.

In a word...No.

In more words... No definitely not.

Different players/roles IMO.

The eagles have had real issues losing their speed receivers the last couple years, and it absolutely crippled their offense because we had no depth for the role.

So, Howie tried to solve that problem once and for all. Elite speed prospect? Reagor. Proven veteran speedster? Goodwin. Multiple speedy rookies for depth? Hightower and Quez.

And that’s all with Jackson still on the roster. We aren’t going to be stuck without a deep threat this season.

We have the better OC/QB/OL/TE.  I think that works.
