He might be the Eagles’ biggest fan.

I honestly think he should be considered for GM.  Before you laugh and say yeah OK, look at what John Lynch has done with SF.  Same kind of guy if you ask me.

Hmm.  Feels like we've finally cut the cord.  Floating out in the ether. Anger at the faceless dismissal and marginalization of it's own fans by PE.com. But extreme gratitude for guys l

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Howie is killing it! :towel:

He's won the draft today.  No one has had a day like the Eagles have had today.  Flipped a comp pick for 4 more picks and drafted 2 of the fastest WR's in the draft...traded for another....and landed two solid O linemen, two solid LB's and we're not done yet.....

It's time to change our criteria for an X receiver.  They don't have to be slow and plodding.

Clearly jjaw didn't benefit from the garbage we had a wr coach. Let's see how he does this year. I think he'll surprise the doubters

I mean, they’re late round picks, so the odds are obviously against them.

That said, they’re both legitimate WRs. Not just guys who can run.

I think the idea here is that you add Goodwin, Hightower and Watkins... figure one, maybe two makes the roster.

Yup.  Saturation drafting WR and to a lesser extent LB.  Not a bad idea.  They are the weakest positions and they went and got faster and younger there.

Reminds me of 1990 draft a little.  That was 3 WRs drafted, but 2 high, 1 late.  Get 1 in the first and 2 late works too.  Eagles only got 2 players out of that draft.  If the Eagles get two out of this one, its a successful draft.

Eagles don’t win the Super Bowl without the best player on their team that day, Alshon Jeffrey.

And if by chance he gets on the field this year he starts without question.

Smart to load up on picks to get the higher ranked guys with medical concerns and hope they hit

I'm happy with this slew of WR moves, but it's worth reminding ourselves that Quez Watkins may not even be an NFL receiver.

He has speed...and the amount of speed he has combined with decent length make him a great pick at this point in the draft.  But he needs to learn a few things before he's even roster-able.

Moorehead may be the most critical addition to the entire team this year.  He needs to reign in all this speed and teach it some football.

One thing to note about these WRs...no isolated linear speed here (examples being Mims, Claypool, Metcalf, Duvernay)...and I like some of those guys.  These picks are all quick and agile as well.  Of course, they don't have the size and strength of those other guys.

Hopefully he turns out as well as a King we drafted out of Auburn.

I cringe at tweets like that. Twitter people acting like they "scout" offensive lineman.

I'm fine with that pick though.

For what it's worth Daniel Jeremiah literally just said in past drafts Watkins would have been a 3rd or 4th round pick, but dropped because of the depth and that so many teams had already taken WR's

Not endorsing his comment, just sharing it.

I’ll endorse it.

Prince is another speed guy. Heard he drives around in a little red corvette.

Alshon was not the best player on the team that day, not even close.  But he was good; he helped us win SB 52 in that game and in the games that preceded it.  For that, I am forever grateful.

He sucks now and is a liability.  He'll have trouble getting offers to play when he's out of here.

Prince has no testing, so we can't say for sure whether he's a good athlete except what is shown on tape. Otherwise, all healthy athletes.

Nice

1 pick left then?

We still need some size at WR. I’d be shocked if they moved him. He’s an actual X. None of our additions are.

I'm not so sure we do.  We have size at the TE position.  Not sure that there's any need for a 'JJAW' type WR.

I’d be shocked since big receivers matter in the red zone. Can’t just rely on TEs.

Is he wearing a raspberry beret when doing so?🤔

Bengals got three good LB prospects today.

After he made two huge catches he was doubled all game. He opened everything up for Ertz and Ag. Why was Ertz one on one on that last TD? Because Alshon was getting doubled...
