Hmm.  Feels like we've finally cut the cord.  Floating out in the ether. Anger at the faceless dismissal and marginalization of it's own fans by PE.com. But extreme gratitude for guys l

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Jeffery was solid during the Super Bowl but to say he was better than Foles that day is laughable, no offense.

Not to mention he couldn't haul in that pass that led to the INT.  Would've been on the 5 yard line up 15-6. Whatever we won.  Alshon was incredible in the NFC Championship though.

Nice pick for the Ravens, Geno Stone

Yup.  If we had gone Fulton in the second, balloons would be falling from the ceiling.

Like the attitude. Coming to make his point:

His presser is so much more relaxed and open than Hurts was. Clearly had different expectations in the draft.

And it's not a dig at Hurts.

Eagles have the 5th most cap space in the NFL.  I can't think of any better use of it than to cut Alshon Jeffery and save $10m on next year's cap.

Can’t you just roll over the cap space from this year to next year?

Might be best to lurk on Yannick until a few weeks into the season.  Prices drive up at the trade deadline.  I'd float an offer somewhere around the time the Jags are 0-4.

If these WRs pan out, then we are pretty much locked into using our 2021 draft resources on edge rushers.  And backup qbs.

I feel if you’re interested in him you have to do it now.

I'm happy with this slew of WR moves, but it's worth reminding ourselves that Quez Watkins may not even be an NFL receiver.

He has speed...and the amount of speed he has combined with decent length make him a great pick at this point in the draft.  But he needs to learn a few things before he's even roster-able.

Moorehead may be the most critical addition to the entire team this year.  He needs to reign in all this speed and teach it some football.

One thing to note about these WRs...no isolated linear speed here (examples being Mims, Claypool, Metcalf, Duvernay)...and I like some of those guys.  These picks are all quick and agile as well.  Of course, they don't have the size and strength of those other guys.

It's hilarious listening to either sports radio stations in Philly right now.  Having an incredible day like this doesn't fit their narrative....it's like.."Well....they got faster I guess..."  Oh suck it up....it was a great day and give it up to Howie and the Eagles.

It's not that simple. We have the worst cap situation in the NFL in 2021. We basically need the cap to go up by a lot without having to cut guys.

Yes it is.  Our cap situation is improved in 2021 by cutting Alshon now as opposed to waiting until next year.

After the draft maybe sign Prince Amukamara and we are set for a super bowl run.

damn it I wanted Howie fired last night but he’s really nailed the rest of this draft...

Howie loves to inflate our cap number every year.  Alshon, Desean, Graham, Malik Jackson, count an absurd $60m against the cap next year.  Kelce and Ertz are another $20.

The amount of that which may be washed away...

Geno Stone is such a good Ravens pick in round 7

The one knock on KJ Hill from what I saw is his lack of sleep. Because of this, he fell to round 7.

You know if I thought we could contend this year I'd be ok with that...

I'm no cap expert, but taking the hit on Jeffery now instead of next year when it's $10.5m dead cap to cut him seems to be one way of doing that.

I can’t believe he hasn’t been traded today.

No I'm a little surprised but I guess Jags knew today's picks held little value. May as well see what 2021 picks they can get.

You can hate when they mess up but you have to also give credit when they do well. Unless of course you're only here for negativity

He should stay home and sleep.  We’re all in this together.

Haha. I obviously need some sleep

That's a good and fair point. But at this point we don't actually know if today's been a good day.

What picks do we have left?

Would Jacksonville be interested in a 6'1" mobile QB who has been compared to Russel Wilson? 🤣

Alshon was not the best player on the team that day, not even close.  But he was good; he helped us win SB 52 in that game and in the games that preceded it.  For that, I am forever grateful.

He sucks now and is a liability.  He'll have trouble getting offers to play when he's out of here.

Umm... I think the guy dropping dimes might have been better than Alshon.  Alshon had a nice game, but I'd say Corey Clement had as much of an impact as Jeffery.  It was Jeffery's drop turned INT that kept the Pats in that game.  He makes that catch and it might have been over right there.

Alshon did what he was brought here to do.  We got the Trophy, but now his time is past.   And he likes to talk to reporters...so,
