Hmm.  Feels like we've finally cut the cord.  Floating out in the ether. Anger at the faceless dismissal and marginalization of it's own fans by PE.com. But extreme gratitude for guys l

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Surprised we didn't draft a RB, do we resign Cory Clement? Our RBs atm are Sanders & Scott, maybe an undrafted FA or vet RB will be added.

I’m not. There’s a ton of free agents out there and we have a semi decent knack in finding decent undrafted free agents. No need to waste a pick.

Bring back Clement and Shady and we're good!

I think those 2 are going to be really good.  We just need a reliable, sturdy insurance policy who can pound it between the tackles to help protect leads.

I'd allocate our top UDFA cash resources to the RB position.

Read that Casey Toohill really struggles vs the run and given his size, he seems to be a situational rusher

Out for the rest.  Good luck with the Dumpster if it's open for business.

Ok bring in 2 UDFA RB's, 2 UDFA CB's, 2 UDFA EDGE/DT's, 2 UDFA O line...and we should be good to go for camp.

My feeling after calming down.  The approach of multiple at bats could work. 2 late guys over a guy in the 3rd might be better, it might not.  I get the need for a strong backup but still at 53 they could have helped the team more imo.  Do I trust Howie's player evaluation? Not really.  His number of Pro Bowl hits in 10 years is atrocious.   But at this point we don't know what we don't know and I like some of the guys so we'll see.

Would like a north/south thumper.

Okay so...even with the Hurts pick..I..I think.. I really like our draft.

Obviously we have to develop these guys but I see 2 of these WRs sticking. Reagor and Hightower. Love both their tape and skills. Swing for the fences with Quez. We have a guard (possibly center Solak mentioned) in Driscoll. We have a 2nd round talent OT (if knee checks Out) then a athletic freak LB in taylor, a really solid LB in Bradley and then our "Jenkins role” safety in Wallace, who I love his film. He was completely overshadowed by Simmons. Don’t know much about Toohill but take a swing at a DE sure

Plus we have a really good backup QB and gimmick player.

Obviously the 2nd was a little rich for my blood on Hurts, but I love the player..but I don’t know..I think I really like this draft

If 2nd had just said Zack Baun instead of Jalen Hurts I'd be good.

Dane Jackson is a perfect fit for Buffalo.

Who are the best UDFA RBs?

Who is this really good backup QB you're speaking of?  Sudfeld?

"Taysom Hill is the worst part of the Saints offense"

I hate the pick, but this is factually incorrect.

I like it. But swap Hurts for Fulton or Hurts and Reagor for Lamb and I think it’s a home run. Either way, Howie managed to turn it around on day 3. Now just need the prospects to pan out.

Dude out of Cincinnati? Warren?

FWIW, a buddy of mine is friends with Ed Reynolds.

He asked him what he thought of Toohill, and he wasn’t too impressed with him. Basically said he can’t win 1v1 in the league and most of his production came on stunts. He does think he will be a very good STer though.

Any time you take throws away from Drew Brees, you're hurting your offense.

Bradley is doing a nice little presser with the Philly media.  Comes across welll

Ok... Saints just drafted Tommy Stevens. Former PSU QB. He is vintage gimmicky QB.

Denzel Mims instead of Hurts and pick a different QB instead of one of HIghtower/Watkins

I think they liken Toohil to the Avery/Ostman role that has yet to be used in our defense.

Could be, but i think you want him rushing the passer. He’s pretty explosive. Let him pin his ears back on 3rd down.

Yup.  But don't ask him to stop the run.

All things considered, and especially considering where I started today... I am very pleased with this haul from the draft.

Green - guys I had as targets for the Eagles.
Blue - guys I wasn't looking at
Orange - Wildcard

Round1- Pick 21  (21) Jalen Reagor WR Texas Christian

Round2·  Pick 21  (53)  Jalen Hurts  QB  Oklahoma

Round3·  Pick 39  (103)   Davion Taylor   LB   Colorado

Round4· Pick 21 (127)  K'Von Wallace  S  Clemson

Round4· Pick 39  (145)  Jack Driscoll  T Auburn

Round5·  Pick 23  (168) John Hightower  WR  Boise State

Round6· Pick 17 (196) Shaun Bradley  LB  Temple

Round6· Pick 21  (200)  Quez Watkins  WR  Southern Mississippi

Round6· Pick 31  (210)  Prince Tega Wanogho  T  Auburn

Round7·  Pick 19  (233)  Casey Toohill  EDGE  Stanford

Lost in all this is Pick #200.  Pick #200 is what the Eagles sent to the Bears for Jordan Howard... and the Eagles got it back during the draft.
