Ok... Saints just drafted Tommy Stevens. Former PSU QB. He is vintage gimmicky QB.

He sucks

Hmm.  Feels like we've finally cut the cord.  Floating out in the ether. Anger at the faceless dismissal and marginalization of it's own fans by PE.com. But extreme gratitude for guys l

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Today helped me like this draft a whole lot more.

Any time you take throws away from Drew Brees, you're hurting your offense.

He averaged 5.8 yeards per carry, 19 receptions on 22 targets, 6 of those for touchdowns. Only 6 pass attempts. Again, i hate the pick, but taysom was incredibly productive and efficient.

My guesses-
Hightower has bust potential which necessitated in Howie’s mind the Watkins pick.

by the end of the year we’ll have rookies starting at WR (Reagor) and WIL (Taylor).

Prince won’t be PS imho. Either roster or IR.

Okay so...even with the Hurts pick..I..I think.. I really like our draft.

Obviously we have to develop these guys but I see 2 of these WRs sticking. Reagor and Hightower. Love both their tape and skills. Swing for the fences with Quez. We have a guard (possibly center Solak mentioned) in Driscoll. We have a 2nd round talent OT (if knee checks Out) then a athletic freak LB in taylor, a really solid LB in Bradley and then our "Jenkins role” safety in Wallace, who I love his film. He was completely overshadowed by Simmons. Don’t know much about Toohill but take a swing at a DE sure

Plus we have a really good backup QB and gimmick player.

Obviously the 2nd was a little rich for my blood on Hurts, but I love the player..but I don’t know..I think I really like this draft

Solak needs to stop taking my stuff.

Dude out of Cincinnati? Warren?

I’d take Rico Dowdle, I think I read something that Staley likes him a lot. Former Gamecock bond

I think they liken Toohil to the Avery/Ostman role that has yet to be used in our defense.

It would be nice if we actually started to get creative with some of these tweeners like Toohill or an older name like Gocong.

Lost in all this is Pick #200.  Pick #200 is what the Eagles sent to the Bears for Jordan Howard... and the Eagles got it back during the draft.

Wow. So Howie managed to get 1 year of Jordan Howard for a pick swap in the 5th and we are likely getting a 6th round comp pick next year for him. That is impressive.

I like it. But swap Hurts for Fulton or Hurts and Reagor for Lamb and I think it’s a home run. Either way, Howie managed to turn it around on day 3. Now just need the prospects to pan out.

Yeah Fulton Or Delpit was my dream scenario there and for one to be there hurt even more when we passed. This day 3 has really filled some needs and helped turn the draft around. Biggest thing is develop them.

Who are the best UDFA RBs?

If we are looking for size, I am available.   6'4" 250lbs.  I don't know what my 40 speed is... but if you put some pie in the end zone... I'll find my way through the DL to get there.

I can see why Bradley's intangibles were a plus point. He comes across naturally but recalled one of the local media.  Little things.

Like anything, it's up to him now

Oh really? Can’t say I know much about Driscoll, what makes you think he can be center?

UDFA list. Maybe some of these got picked while I was making the list but whatever.

RB- Leake, James Robinson,  Corbin, Warren, JJ Taylor, Killins, Calais, Xavier Jones

WR- Lipscomb, Bin Victor, Callaway, Dez Patmon, Trishton Jackson, Tyrie Cleveland, Isaiah Wright, Easop Winston

TE- Breeland, Stephen Sullivan, Thad MOSS,

DE- Tuszka, Garvin, Galeai

LB- Mohamed Barry

CB- Samuels, Shyheim Carter, Bassey, Guidry, Nevelle Clarke, Tino Ellis

S- Nigel Warrior, Josh Metellus, Reggie Floyd, AJ Green

I thought Thad Moss was making a mistake coming out, he had some plays in the playoffs but overall you’re looking at a very slow and not that athletic TE, wasn’t great at blocking either.

All that said I’ll obviously take him as a UDFA to fight for TE3, would be cool to see randy at a game or two lol

Interesting that Thad Moss went undrafted. Played at big time program and obviously has an NFL bloodline.

Was Lamar Jackson taken?

Avery, Ostman, etc. agree 100 %, we have resources there that on paper are useful.

As I said earlier, look at our 10 player draft class. Flip Wallace and Hurts' draft spots and no one bats an eye. Its an all around awesome looking athletic class.

I dont think so. Thatd be a good add.

Move ability, short arms, needs to add strength... sounds a lot like Kelce.   Give him a year to learn just the center position, work in the NFL lifting program and lose that baby fat and he'll be a great option to step in for Kelce.  Now, whether or not he can handle the mental part of playing center the way Kelce does, I don't know... but in terms of athletic ability... he's got it.

Would like to see them add one of the lsu TE post draft

Thanks for the insight. If true makes sense why they passed on Biadasz, who seems opposite of Kelce. Could be very beneficial to start grooming a heir to that throne.

Oh Chris Gocong. Guy had like 20 sacks or something crazy at Cal Poly but he was seldom used as a pass rusher. Then when they traded him to a 3-4 team he was bumped to ILB. Never understood that.

Wait really? I haven't been keeping track of other teams. The 2nd rounder killed this draft for me

If that's the case then I wouldn't be surprised to see Rodgers ask for a trade
