Solak just put out his final mock. He has the Eagles trading 53 to move up from 21 to 13 and then drafting Lamb.

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Umm... Sure.

Me, repeatedly, I’m discussing this report as written.

You. But Campbell sucked, you can’t use hindsight (which you were doing), McLane is a hack, apparently teams don’t know how to break clusters or differentiate between players prior to the draft, you should be a GM, you’re a drama queen.

Did I get that right?

Are you by any chance 15 years old. You can't possibly be this obtuse. You keep proving all of my points for me with every post you keep making. I will say this one more time since you are having a really difficult time with this. I don't think there is any validity to the report. I disagree with you. Deal with it, agree to disagree, and move the F on.

I respectfully disagree.  Do you consider "reporting" from Spadaro to be unbiased?  What about a piece from a national reporter?

McLane has had an agenda.  So I look at his "reporting" differently than other beat writers.

Look, I’m simply discussing the report at face value. No one is saying it’s 100 percent true.

And you’ve proved my point repeatedly by again missing the point. Have a great night.

I kind of think if Jaylen Johnson is there at 53 that that’s going to be the pick for the Eagles. I know he’s had injury past but he’s really good when he’s healthy. I think he’s also a scheme fit. Plus there’s an actual chance with his injuries he might slip to that area.

I am a huge fan of Jaylon Johnson and I also happen to think corner is a big need. I can't see him making it to 53 but you never know. A guy I really like in the second round is Cameron Dantzler. Played really well against the best competition in the SEC, but had a poor 40 time at the combine. Really good, long corner though. My late round guy is Dane Jackson from Pitt.

Of course you don’t. I didn’t cover the NFL as a beat writer, but I did in college football. You’d be surprised what people share to reporters when their name isn’t attached.

I was a Communications major for a while in college and did some reporting for one of the oldest public radio stations in the country.  I am not a fake news Trump guy but I sure as hell studied yellow dog journalism and such is heavy in the Eagles beat due to competition.  Two source validation is dead on arrival with Eagles "beat” reporters this time of year.  You read it, I read it so a win for getting advertising views.  I believe in a free press but if we don’t watch for biases or speculation in reporting, then shame on us.

Please no more guys with injury histories dropping and the Eagles snagging them...I believe the Eagles need to move away from drafting for potential and just getting productive healthy players...the Eagles (and Roseman) need to nail this draft and they need at least two draft picks to be immediate starters and contributors...they just have too many holes to wait on players (ie Jones, Sweat) or use a high pick for depth (Dillard/Barnett)

If that's what you need to tell yourself to feel better about me disagreeing with you and calling out the flaws in your through process, by all means. You have a great night too, stay safe.

Id like dantzler as well. I think he’s another corner that’s in play in the second round. Don’t think he’s fall to 103. I actually really love Kvon wallace if he falls to 103. He can do a lot of different things and would be a nice third safety for a year and eventually move into McLeod’s role.

Some more common sense being brought to the table 🤪

I like Wallace at 103 also. Brandon Jones is a guy I like in round 4. I think Corner and S are the two biggest needs after WR and LB.

Don’t disagree. I jus think he’s a guy the eagles would be looking at hard at 53. Frankly i think the eagles need a WR, CB, LB and potentially S from this draft to contribute right away. I know people are ok with parks, McLeod and mills. But two of them are on one year Deal. Mills hasn’t played safety since college. Parks has never been a full time starter either. McLeod is year older. They might need that rookie to play at some point. It’s why i really love the idea of wallace in round 3

Productive and healthy may have been the issue.  The only recent injury guy was Jones.  All the other early picks were productive in college.  Which, arguably, may have excluded prospects with upside.

You really have no idea. Let’s call it speculation on your part.

Yeah i agree. However i still don’t see us taking a LB until 127. I want to believe the Eagles are going to take one in round two or 103. But I also realize the Eagles haven’t drafted someone to play linebacker since Nate gerry in 2017 in round 5. I’d love to get an impact linebacker round 2 or 3. But i think they likely go corner, safety and wr in some order with their first three picks. Mainly cause i think the drop off at safety and corner hits right around round 3-4 whereas i like some middle round LBs

Sweat had a serious injury...if you know what to watch for he still favors his knee..although his favoring wasn't as obvious this past year

Just to be clear, when I said debating McLane’s agenda wasn’t productive it’s because I already admit it might not be true.

We can all agree that it might not be true and still discuss it at face value, no?

Neanderthal.  How in the world do you infuse flavor into a lean cut that doesn’t have fat. The EVOO?  Frying it?  And salt, salt.  A little sodium enhances but that sounds like overkill.  Man, your stews, roasts, pit beef, chucks, and briskets must be dull.

Stews have the carrots, celery and onions plus rosemary for flavor. Cook it low and slow and your good. I will give you fajitas, usually do an olive oil and lime based marinade but that about it.

Also not dumping a pile of salt on it but in my opinion red meat should get an extra dosing compared to chicken/pork/fish to give it that extra crust. It would be very hard to over salt a steak

No!  You're wrong.  I'm right.

I have no idea why they let you in here?!?!

I agree with you. I hope I am wrong but the earliest I see them taking a LB is round 4. MAYBE at 103. Someone like Logan Wilson, Markus Edwards, Troy Dye, David Woodward.

I think Mod12 had too many to do and I was able to slip through the cracks. Better to be lucky than good.

Yikes.

Yeah I read the other day he was rising up the draft boards. I know a couple of weeks ago a lot of people were mocking him to the Eagles at 103 since they had a visit with him.
