I'm legit happy as hell that McCown finally got to play in a playoff game.  He played his tail off for us.  Wish they could have won but what an effort.

Actually he played his hamstring off.

Hmm.  Feels like we've finally cut the cord.  Floating out in the ether. Anger at the faceless dismissal and marginalization of it's own fans by PE.com. But extreme gratitude for guys l

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Maybe Dillard was really on the block. That’s been one of his knocks

So bizarre this is all coming out now about Dillard.

I am tempted to scroll back through to call out the many who wanted to fire Howie, who wrent their garments, and cried out in despair. What a bunch of hysterics! I won’t of course, mostly because I am too lazy but y’awl should be ashamed of yourselves.

Good night.

That’s what the board is for.

  If you're referring to Angelo.  He's the biggest pot stirrer of them all.  Bet he makes himself a big meal out of the 2nd Round pick and will play it out as long as he can for ratings.

No one in particular....I just hope the normal hosts are more level headed than the guys that have been crying all weekend.

AJ Green signed with the browns.

Have seen about a thousand takes on the pick in Philly over the last 24 hours and I think you're the only one who likes it. So you're definitely Jon Snow'ing this one

I like the pick...a lot. There are a lot of other people that do too. Just because the internet is full of people crying like babies over non-conventional pick, it doesn't mean that people in real life agree.

lol it was like the biggest story of the draft. They drafted a QB in the 2nd round when they just paid their franchise QB a year ago over 100 million. Don't know the last time that's happened with a QB as young as Wentz.

It will be talked about all year, as it should be.

After we just had a historic day 3?  I can't remember a day 3 with better value and hitting on just about every major need.  Can you?

Same thing I said

Yup. Outside of reagor they banked on raw athletic talent.

But isnt that what we wanted them to do instead of banking on college production?

Let’s wait a few years before declaring it historic. Looks good on paper though.

I stayed away. I didn’t want to get drug into and down on those convos. I thought this was a shoelaces type add but with the rest of the wr talent added I don’t think he’ll be used as anything but a qb now. I like hurts a lot as a developmental piece. The timing was odd though.

I would not have been happy with Wallace in the second either!

And coaching... 😬

I have high hopes for Moorehead.  He needs to refine Reagor, rebuild Goodwin, rest Desean and retrain Hightower and Watkins.  He can recycle JJAW and Alshon.

I trust Stoutland.  He has some athletic pieces to work with.  One inside and one outside.  I think that Prince can become that swing tackle, and could one day push Dillard.  And that Driscoll really could push for that starting C job in a year or two, depending on when Kelce decides to hang them up.

LB is trickier... We have some serious athletes there.  So, that's primarily about coaching up the mental side of the game so that they can flash that athleticism and not get caught thinking.

KVon Wallace... he might be the ideal replacement for Jenkins.

All things considered, this draft might have been one of the most important in terms of a transformation.  These guys will be fast and that will at the very least have a massive impact on ST.

Exactly.

This was a very Seahawky type of draft. Lots of athletes, reaching early, getting value later and leaving the draft confused and thrilled.

I think Wallace was the best player in that Clemson secondary.

Ill take more like it. Howie made his case as a GM who doesnt need to work under a football guy.

Point taken, but I’m not ready to call ourselves the fastest team in the NFL yet.

Some of these additions may not make the team.  They need to ascend the depth chart and assimilate into the offense/defense.

Then we’ll be the fastest team in the NFL.

Yup... this was step one.

What you call "cry babies" I call passionate fans mad that their team blew a valuable draft pick because their fans care about the team and want them to win. Calling those people crybabies comes off as very immature and childish, no offense. Sounds like something a 12 year old would say.

I don't think you can have a "historic" day 3 in the NFL Draft, I've never heard of such a thing. Unless you look back a decade from now. You really expected sports radio to hype up 4th to 7th round draft picks?

Still hoping he comes over after the old board closes

He said goodbye today after the draft on the old board. It was a sad moment cause for years I’ve gotten to talk eagles and other sports as well with him as well as other topics. It’s why i was over there talking to him through the draft cause i knew he likely was done once this draft was over. I’m hoping he changes his mind

I’m bummed we don’t have any Fran breakdowns on the main site.
