The perfect 2nd punch to Sanders 1st. A old school punishing back.  Don't need him to catch. Just grind.

Hmm.  Feels like we've finally cut the cord.  Floating out in the ether. Anger at the faceless dismissal and marginalization of it's own fans by PE.com. But extreme gratitude for guys l

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

But is Fournette going to be happy playing Robin to Sanders?

Anyone know anything about Shaun Bradley?

I believe I read on Twitter that the Eagles like Bradley. I think they've talked to him a bunch.

Id like dantzler as well. I think he’s another corner that’s in play in the second round. Don’t think he’s fall to 103. I actually really love Kvon wallace if he falls to 103. He can do a lot of different things and would be a nice third safety for a year and eventually move into McLeod’s role.

If Eagles draft him I want to trademark the phrase "Hold me closer Cameron Dantzler”

I just googled him. I didn’t realize he went to Temple. I’m sure they know him pretty well.

I don’t think the linebacker would fare much better against the Dream.

He's really tall

True. But I feel like Shawn Bradley didn’t really act in space jam he just played himself as an uncoordinated basketball player

You really have no idea. Let’s call it speculation on your part.

Sure let’s go with that.  I am speculating there is not two source validation in reports that don’t cite two sources.   Let’s just say I don’t find McLane particularly convincing and apparently you do.  I read journalistic reports with a degree of skepticism especially during the misinformation period.

Are you by any chance 15 years old. You can't possibly be this obtuse. You keep proving all of my points for me with every post you keep making. I will say this one more time since you are having a really difficult time with this. I don't think there is any validity to the report. I disagree with you. Deal with it, agree to disagree, and move the F on.

You're not big on thought exercises or meta--cognition, are you?

The report we’re discussing has this in it...

"They certainly weren’t the only ones. Interviews with almost a dozen Eagles employees involved with the draft, both past and present, paint a similar picture of the team’s methods.”

https://www.inquirer.com/eagles/eagles-draft-howie-roseman-jj-arcega-whiteside-andre-dillard-jeffrey-lurie-20200421.html

So at least in this case there is more than one source, and significantly more at that.

And, no, I don’t think McLane and many other beat writers who get crapped on in here are as bad or lack journalistic integrity in search of clicks as many of you do. I find it insulting, to be honest. Except for ESP. He’s terrible.

I don't think he does, he is doing a thought exercise. I.e. assume the report is correct and unbiased, where does that lead.

Yes and no.

A thought exercise is a great way to put it when it comes to the report.

I also think McLane has written some really good stories with good sourcing. He’s gotten some stuff wrong of course. Every reporter gets burned by a source or multiple sources. And the home team fans often hate the guy who’s most critical.

Stews have the carrots, celery and onions plus rosemary for flavor. Cook it low and slow and your good. I will give you fajitas, usually do an olive oil and lime based marinade but that about it.

Also not dumping a pile of salt on it but in my opinion red meat should get an extra dosing compared to chicken/pork/fish to give it that extra crust. It would be very hard to over salt a steak

Rosemary, well some spice at least.  I will dabble with others.  My fajitas will have jalapeño.  Sometimes so puréed tomato for sweetness.  Maybe some adobe and I have been known to fire roast the peppers and tomatoes.  Love garlic. Cumin. Thyme,  Cayenne, Chili pepper, sweet pepper, occasionally nutmeg. My liquids are pretty much confined to EVOO, vinegars and every once and a while Worcester and Soy, but just a dab.  We are literally talking half hour or so marinades to coat the meat most of the time.

There aren’t a dozen people in the war room.  Sorry, I just don’t buy a lot of McLane’s stuff.  Are you a journalist?  Have I personally insulted you?   I am a historian by training although not my profession, and I would say the same about historians.

Peak meteor time.  I say goodnight.

Per Andrew Brandt, writing about his time consulting with the Eagles (2014 story)...

"Many teams arrange the war room similarly; when I consulted with the Eagles, they used the same setup as the Packers. The general manager sits at either the head of a conference table or directly in front of the board, flanked by his most trusted personnel assistant and the head coach. Further down are personnel directors working the phones, each assigned a team based on relationships. Close at hand are 1) the cap/contract person (my former role), ready to advise with numbers on all players, 2) a research/statistician evaluating proposed trades through various proprietary charts and analytics, and 3) team doctors and trainers ready with physical grades. There’s an open line to a staff member in New York who fills out and hands in the card for each selection. Finally, owners and their friends—or, in the case of the Packers, members of the Executive Committee—circle in occasionally, although most exit stage right soon after the top pick is made.”

I think it’s perfectly plausible that he talked to nearly a dozen sources since he’s also talking about a three-year period.

Just for posterity, here’s a photo of the Eagles war room. Plenty of seating for a dozen or more folks...

Lots of people in the war room here. I could post the video of Goedert getting picked as well, but you guys get it.

I’m going to bed. Gotta rest up to fight more of you tomorrow.

This argument is still going on?
