I used a carne asada marinade with some boneless chicken breasts, pulled the chicken, made some lime brown rice, some black and pinto beans, some sautéed onions and peppers, some salsa and some guacamole put it over a salad.  Better than any Chipotle burrito bowl I ever had.  Never used a carne asada marinade with chicken before.  I will bet you are going to tell me it is only for beef.

I’m into tomatillos of late: salsa verde - split the tomatillos, roast them, then into a blender with chopped onion, garlic, jalapeños, lime, and lots of basil. Salt and pepper and simple syrup to taste. Cilantro is more traditional than basil but I prefer the latter. Pound some boneless chicken breasts, rub with Tajin, let sit 30 minutes, then brown over high heat. When I flip them I throw in cherry tomatoes that will sizzle and pop. When done on both sides turn the heat way down, smear the breasts with the salsa, cover, and simmer five minutes.

Lime brown rice is a total winner, although these days I’m using basmati rice. I like the texture more.

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Unless they are really in love with a certain player who falls down the board close enough for them to pounce and not give up too much then I would agree.  If the board falls the way most of the so-called mock experts expect it to and all of the top 4 WRs are already taken and there's not a player of what they consider good/great value at #21 and IF they find a willing trade partner then I could see them moving down in the 1st and acquiring 1-2 additional picks which they can then use to trade up a couple times in the 2nd/3rd/4th.  That wouldn't be a bad thing since there's supposed to be really good value in the 2nd/3rd rounds.  Something that has been said more than once about this draft is that the talent between the players ranked from 21 to 80 are very similar.  So if we can't get our player with #21 and we do find a team to trade back with and then can trade up to end up with 3 picks in the top 80 then I'd be fine with that.

I'd laugh it off completely but after Gronk and Aldon Smith who knows.

Heart attack at 11.

Hopefully not.

Glad I went to bed when I did last night.

First I read a tweet from someone saying there's a thin market for Fournette because "he's not productive in the passing game" ... what?  The guy catches 77% of what's thrown at him for his career.  He had 76 catches last season.  You can cherry pick his 6.9 ypr from last year if you want, but the previous 2 seasons were both 8.4 ypr, which is fine for a RB.

Second I see guys have Shenault a tier below Michael Pittman Jr as a prospect -- holy smokes .... just holy ....

New house in a new neighborhood, good to see the same warmth and understanding carried over...B-)

Very excited for Thursday night. It'll give a sense of football being back and a return to some semblance of normalcy in the world.

I'm sure there will be a few glitches in the process, hope they happen to the other teams though. Should add to the fun.

I wonder if they will pipe in the Boos when Roger is on air? Keep it real!

Can't wait to see what Howie has up his sleeve, he knows our needs as well as we do. I haven't been consulted yet but I'm expecting his call any time now.

He reads our posts too, right? How else can he set the board?

I suppose he was productive catching checkdowns last year, but that doesn’t mean he’s good in the passing game.

Any shot of trading back with the Colts?  Just looked at the points.   Eagles trade 21, 53, 103, and 127 (1,303 points) and receive 34, 44, 75, and 122 (1285 points)

Would you do it?

Depends on how the board fell up to #21.  If the players they most coveted are gone and they feel the value between 21 and 34 will be similar then ending up with 3 picks inside the top 75 would be preferred.  That's a bit more of a trade back than I'd like to see, however.  Would prefer more like 5-8 spots than 13.

I bought my first tomatillo plant for growing this year.  So, I'll likely be coming to you for some help when the fruit comes on.

Given the amount of picks, seems like the type of trade you before the draft begins.  Howie gon' want to see how that board breaks in the first 10-15 picks.  Can't see us doing it personally.

Probably already posted but not going through 10+ pages

The thing that makes me hesitant is how the board goes. Just like you said. I don't think this is going to be a normal draft at all. I can see guys falling farther down than they should and vice versa. I don't like dropping 13 spots either.

Negative. I believe they're crossing their fingers and waiting on reinstatement for him and Randy Gregory right now.

The more things change... the more they stay the same.

Cowboys organization stinks from the head down.

I'd rather they stay in the 1st round, trade back about 5-8 picks max, unless we get a really sweet offer.  Pickup another 3rd rounder you could use to trade up in the 2nd or trade into the 2nd (an additional 2nd round pick).  Something like that.  With 10 picks currently, if we do trade back and acquire 2 more then with 12 picks we could afford to move up twice to grab players in the 2nd/3rd rounds.  I don't think we're coming out of the draft with 10 players.  Think we will use picks to move up and probably end up with 8 players from the draft.

Hot damn. I'll come over for that. Just leave a dish on the porch and throw the food to me.

Id love to come away with ten. Twelve would be awesome as we know some will miss and this is a middle-heavy draft. I want ten third/fourth rounders lol
