Yo any chance dares a Jackson,Reagor, Goodwin, Watkins, Hightower formation?

I don't think all of them are likely to make the team unless they keep 7 WRs.

Hmm.  Feels like we've finally cut the cord.  Floating out in the ether. Anger at the faceless dismissal and marginalization of it's own fans by PE.com. But extreme gratitude for guys l

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Kupp got hurt and that probably contributed to the Rams losing the Super Bowl.  Good route runners that catch the ball fit Goff better than Cooks did.

True. However i think you need at least an element of a deep threat. I don’t see Robert woods as that. He reminds me more of a better version of agholor. They have none with big play speed. Also they have Reynolds who’s similar to ban jefferson already as well

Because I think the traditional X and Z profiles are going out the window in today’s no touch NFL.  We got so used to big X WRs over the last few years but remember, Maclin was an X.

He could beat press coverage and physical coverage.

I agree with your overarching point about X and Z becoming more blurry, but if you’re saying someone is more X than Z, the difference better be the ability to beat press.

I don’t think Reynolds or Jefferson are similar at all. Jefferson is more Woods. Reynolds is a finesse perimeter guy who can play above the rim.

Doug better be calling up this one at least 5 times/game with all that newly acquired speed

Not in terms of play. I think all three in kupp, jefferson and woods are are best suited for the slot and not the outside. I know when kupp has been hurt they’ve used him in the slot more. Even when cooks was out they used him more in the slot. And i don’t think woods or jefferson have great speed nor best for outside

How many teams run press any more?

Are you confusing Woods with Reynolds?

I couldn’t say, but press doesn’t necessarily mean jamming the receiver. It’s also mirroring. That’s not rare.

Ya sorry. Meant woods. I think all three of those guys Are best suited for the slot. Woods can play the outside but i don’t see him or the other two as deep threats and i don’t think Reynolds is that great as deep threat even though people compared him to Marvin Jones when he came out.

Ok, that makes way more sense.

John Hightower kind of reminds me of Robby Anderson. Tall, thin, fast, and can do a little bit more than just run go routes and posts.

That was my reaction as well.

I see JonnieLee Higgins of the dream team!

With increased rosters sizes during the offseason and bigger rosters and practice squads during the season, it's time for the NFL to enable WR's to get single digit numbers or something. Currently the Eagles have four WR numbers available and they just drafted three, traded for one, and signed on or two more as undrafted free agents. So much for getting to pick a number when you make it to the NFL.

13, 18, 82, and 87 that's it.

Oof, I hate watching Hurts throwing highlights and seeing CeeDee make plays all over the field...I might be in the minority here, but I think I like Watkins slightly more than Hightower. Comparing the tape, Watkins seems a little faster and catches with his hands more. Hightower seems like a certified body catcher.
