It may have been mentioned before, but Howie's phrasing of how Reagor matches Carson's skill set makes me think it was all about outside speed and that Jefferson wasn't really a strong consideration for them.

OF COURSE IT WAS. They run their offense out of 12 personnel 60% of the time, they don't need a freaking slot receiver.

Hmm.  Feels like we've finally cut the cord.  Floating out in the ether. Anger at the faceless dismissal and marginalization of it's own fans by PE.com. But extreme gratitude for guys l

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Can't disagree there. I liked Jefferson but he wasn't what this team desperately needed. Unless he can move outside and contribute there.

I bet Aiyuk was the next rated WR for them. Possibly Hamler.

Whoever is giving the speech in Cleveland for one of our picks should thank the browns for Carson. I vote having Akers do it again. He did a great job in Dallas

The eagles as a whole seem to find themselves with one of these comments once every like couple of years. Had the gold standard comment, dream team comment, emotional intelligence, new norm and qb factory.

Hey now... the Dream Team comment came from Vince Young... and he was never a part of the Eagles.   EVER.

Do not try to disprove this statement.  It is true.

What about getting in someone like Andrew Berry? I know he's with the Browns but I like the idea of him trolling his own team.

I 100 percent believe it was aiyuk. It’s kind of why i don’t think they wanted to trade back. If you do i think minnesota takes reagor to replace diggs and the niners try you jump your for aiyuk.

….Unfortunately, nothing WIP related is available to me here in the UK...WIP block any UK/EU streams of any kind.

Now you might not thank me for this........but you can listen to daily excerpts of WIP shows (and 97.5 The Fanatic for that matter) at the following links:-

I live in NW England and they all work fine for me.

But be careful what you wish for!

Wonder why so many 4 year starting QB's bust in the NFL then?

Because they're often deficient in one area.
- Size/arm strength: Kellen Moore, Colt McCoy
- Production: Christian Ponder
- Character: Geno Smith, Jameis Winston

He was acting like a petulant child. He wasnt just sharing a negative opinion, he came off like he was offended that they chose to focus on analytics and athletic traits. He really got bent out of shape with Reagor over Jefferson and the Taylor pick.

Someone should ask him if Jamar Chaney is still on pace to becoming that all-pro MLB he predicted.

QB factory can and should be used to make fun of them.  It was a silly comment.  But it wasn't THAT bad.  Neither was new normal.

Gold standard was bad.

If you dont think Racism is alive and well in all facets of this country, including the NFL then you are either extremely ignorant or naive. Also, it's African-American. Sadly I guess it takes a man of color to make you aware that the term "black" hasn't been politically correct in several years and is extremely offensive.

 okay, off to ignore you go. bye, bye.

There are some other teams that could do the same.

Didnt cleveland pass on Watson and Mahomes too?

They did. But don’t worry they settled for Baker a year later lol.

yeah But they also had some comments like they didn’t think he was any good or wasn’t a top 20 QB

Nah. I don’t see it. I wouldn’t be surprised if they signed Flacco or McCown either.

We'll disagree.  I think they want no part of Flacco, and McCown only as a coach.  Their goal is for him to be dressing for the first game.  As a 2nd round pick, it is my expectation.

Good question.  I feel like I read somewhere that might be difficult for Va to input into the features.  Although, reading his posts is similar to staring at roadkill.  I can't turn away.

Gold standard was bad.

Especially when they hadn't actually won a Super Bowl.

Ever since the Eagles hired AR, they have been a well above average organization.  I would imagine they are somewhere in the top 10 in the NFL in wins since 1999.  They aren't in that echelon of NFL royalty, but they aren't far off.

Fans are customers.  Customers don't like to be told how lucky they are and how good they have it.  Politically/PR, that was the tone the Eagles took with fans and local media early on (gold standard being one example) and they've occasionally got back into trouble by striking that cord again over the years.

Literally just was able to add my direct deposit on Saturday so mine isn’t coming for a while I’m guessing lol.

BTW...I recently lost my job due to Covid.

It's been really helpful that this forum continues to be a comfortable distraction for me.
