He's going to wear #32, for the number of teams that would pass on him in a redraft 5 years from now.

I know you never liked him.  Ironically, I heard among other things, the Vikings traded Diggs because he was too much like Thielen... and here we have Jefferson to replace him, but is fairly closely related to Thielen himself.

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Wow . Go do some work for a couple of days and the EMB world just flies by !

So Jameis landed in New Orleans eh? Well maybe Payton can salvage him. Million dollar arm. Ten cent head.

I'm sorry but everything they say makes it worse and worse. I understand the importance of a backup quarterback.  I truly believe you can sign a veteran backup on a 1 year deal year in and year out and be OK.  Sudfeld is the only backup they have had here for multiple years.  Foles, McCown...1 year deals.  2nd round picks are so vital to building the foundation of your team.  The Eagles throw them away like it's nothing.

corner coming off severe injury.  draft him in the 2nd

have an All-Pro tight end, draft his backup in the 2nd

have an MVP, 27 year old quarterback, draft his backup in the 2nd

so what? what happens if the wentz retires because of injuries and you are stuck with nate as your qb? and it could be years until you find another qb, did you see what the browns has to go through with their qb position, it's not dime as a dozen, it's very difficult. you want the eagles to be the browns of trying to find another qb? howie is not doing that, he's not going to risk this team to go through pain of finding another qb because they put all their eggs into wentz, that's just too risky especially with wentz's injuries, i guess you dont see that either, to you he's superman he'll never get injuried again.

he could have another injury and his career could be over and the team could be trash for years. i guess wentz fans dont care about that because winning isnt important, it's all about wentz. to me and alot of fans that support this move, it's about winning and having a pontentially healthy starter in hurts in case wentz never plays again and this team never goes to tank mode.

Probably not good if you can’t even challenge Josh Sweat.

Truly one of the stupidest posts I've ever seen. Psst 1% chance Hurts can even carry Wentz's jockstrap.

But extreme gratitude for guys like @VaBeach_Eagle, @Moderator12, @Gator 12 and everyone else who worked so hard getting this going.

This is really an amazing group.  And I'm glad I'm a part of it.

True. I said when i heard the old board was closing it felt like someone ran over my dog.

Now this is better than a new puppy cuz its already potty trained!

I'm nothing if not consistent.

It's not often the Eagles execution falls in line with my plans.  I don't HATE Jefferson.  Maybe he does turn into Hopkins or Michael Thomas.  My beef with him is that nobody expected Hopkins/Thomas to become what they are.  They were drafted later.  Many made the same comparisons with JJAW.

I don't like banking on someone without any exceptional traits turning into something exceptional.  Obviously, there is a precedent for it; sometimes it happens and you get lucky.  But that's not something you bank on in the top 25.

There are things that Jalen Reagor can do, physically, that Jefferson...hell, throw Ceedee Lamb into this...simply cannot.  Is it possible that Reagor ends up being far less productive than those two?  Sure.  But the future is such a damn mystery with draft picks.  At least draft someone who tangibly does something...something we need...that the others don't.

@VaBeach_Eagle has earned the right to monetize this board.  I hate to say something that risks diluting this product.

Need to figure out if this board remains a nice community for us select few die hards, or if the new registration explodes into all of Eagles fandom.

If the registration explodes, you earned it.

If Peters comes back, the Andre Dillard speculation is gonna be turned up to another notch.

Derrick Gunn reported if he comes back he won't be a backup.

If Peters comes back, the Andre Dillard speculation isn't speculation.

I kind of want it to stay our little secret and be by invitation only.

I cant imagine they bring peters back would seem like such a waste of a pick on dillard and its not like dillard has been a disaster minus one game at RT.

If they excavate Peters, essentially acknowledging Dillard was a wasted pick, when they could have stayed put and given the DE position a future with Montez Sweat....

The blog will always be a bit of a clique within TATE at least.

That depends... if they bring back Peters in a coaching capacity, then I'm very much on board with it.

Exactly. If one doesnt trust dillard this year hows benching him going to either improve his game or his trade value.

If the eagles end up trading him it will be for far less than what spent and if they bench him because hes "soft" how often do soft players that get benched turn it around???

I think its much ado about nothing, i thought dillard played better than Peters last year at LT.

Time to toss dillard in the deep end, sink or swim.

As a coach absolutely, as a player to start? No thanks.

Why not?   They should put as many great players around Dillard as possible
