Hmm.  Feels like we've finally cut the cord.  Floating out in the ether. Anger at the faceless dismissal and marginalization of it's own fans by PE.com. But extreme gratitude for guys l

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

I really liked the Dillard pick, but if they bring back Peters it’s all for nothing.

He had a neck injury! Lol and this team has had so many problems with injuries it's not surprising they passed on him

His point is... that's a medical thing.  When the medical people say 'no', then you either listen to them, or get new medical people.

I wasn't arguing against that

Only point being, the person who he replied to was blaming Howie and Douglas.  It really wasn't their decision.  They listened to their medical people.

I didn't think I was arguing either way. Howie was right to pass on him. Neck injury was a huge risk that we really couldn't take the chance on. Maybe if we hadn't been so riddled with injuries over the years they may have taken a chance

There are just so many that may be 1st rounders it seems like there are enough 1st round WRs to last in to the 3rd. Its insane.

@ghor? @meatmcginley?

Ummm...is he in the matrix???

The only choice.

I said before this was a mediocre draft except for a few players.  Every player the Eagles drafted has something they need to work on to become better players.

Reagor. Drops, including concentration drops.  He took plays off when the ball wasn’t coming to him at TCU.  Can’t be a deep threat when taking a play off. He has trouble blocking air.
Hurts.  Progression reading.  Mechanics.  Note Foles had a long wind up too.

Taylor.  Getting off blocks.  Raw.

Wallace   Needs work on FS play and first step in deeper routes is slow.

Driscoll  Needs to get stronger

Hightower   Needs to get stronger   Basket (body) catcher.  Wentz throws high sometimes, basket catching doesn’t work with that.  Needs to snatch the ball. Press deficiency

Bradley  Instincts, or really the lack thereof.

Watkins  Route running  Needs to improves his cuts.  Just running fast at one speed doesn’t get you open in the NFL.  Needs feints, jukes etc.  Basket catcher.  Easier to break up passes to basket catchers

Wanogho  Still raw.  Needs to seriously work on hands and arms placement.  Punch needs improvement.

Toohill   To play in Schwartz’s D, you have to play the run.  As a pass rusher, he is a bit like Hall was coming from A&M   Fastball with no pass rush moves   He needs a lot of polishing

Can you list the positive side now

I wasn't either.

Y'know, Sweat was a massive disappointment for the Redskins last year. I read their message board from time to time and their fans thought he was a waste.

If we ever had a rookie DE hit 7 sacks, we’d be crowning him Reggie White 2.0.

Most rookies are going to come in with flaws.  There is no such thing as a perfect prospect.  I'm not thrilled with the draft.  I like Reagor.  I think where they really lose value is Hurts and Taylor.  The rest of the draft there were no reaches, they filled needs and brought in fantastic athletes.  Time will tell how they develop and if they can grow as players and fix the things that you mentioned.

At the time of the draft it's a C+  but if these players develop it could be an A very quick.

Why let JP walk in March if you don't believe in Dillard? What changed in the last month?

Well, he’ll come cheaper now that he sees that no team in the nfl is interested in his fat out of shape 3 quarter per game a** besides, theoretically, us.

Barnett had six his rookie year and people thought he was bad.

All rookies have flaws.

5.  He’s not bad.  He’s just the Jordan Matthews of DEs.

Yup.

That can't be true.  I'm pretty sure I read that CeeDee Lamb was a sure fire HoFer, or at least based on the outrage, it sounded like that.

He had a big one in the playoffs too...

To those who say the 40 doesn’t matter, the Vikings GM on Jefferson...

"The biggest thing that lifted him up in this process – was you seen good speed on tape and after the catch, but when he went and ran in the 4.4s at the Combine, that went and elevated his status even more.”

He was unblocked on that strip sack.  Not taking it away from him, but if his shining moment is an unblocked sack, he’s got work to do.

Literally the first person I’ve heard say anything close to that
