The Browns have a new sheriff in town, Andrew Berry. The days of Sashi Brown are gone.

We'll see. Dorsey replaced Brown 3 years ago. The Browns are still the browns until proven otherwise.

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

I have no idea what a Sauvignon is or a Reisling ive heard of bourbon😉 ill check it out though, thanks for the tip!

just ask for a dry white...there are so many different options, the profile is far more important than the varietal if you are cooking with it.

Can’t miss with a Marsala wine sauce.  I do with chicken. Most recipes call for it in a cream sauce but I find with some stock (chicken or beef) and reduction, it is fine without the cream or butter and probably better for me. If you do decide to use cream, go for a recipe that calls for a couple tablespoons.  You want dry Marsala not sweet.

If you like poached salmon, I have a recipe that uses jalapeño wine.   Very good.  Don’t know if my mom or my sister found it.  Now jalapeño wine is hard to find.  But it is easy to replicate. Just get a bottle of unoaked Chardonnay and pour what you need in a Mason jar, put in a fresh jalapeño pepper and leave it in the fridge for a week or so.   Don’t throw the pepper away.  I chop it up and mix into a rice dish to go with the fish.

That sounds awesome. My wife and i eat salmon about once a week the poached salmon sounds interesting. PM the recipe to me???

My friends step dad is a Browns fan, for his B day he got him a shirt that says, Browns, rebuilding since 1960😄

I am more interested in what happens with the 2nd pick. Are they able to stay put or do they need to make a move to grab the talent at the value?

Can you tell me why the term 'dry' is used?  It seems an odd word choice.

If the eagles don’t go for a WR In the first two rounds

I think the value in the second is before they pick. So trade down from first or trade up in the 2nd.

Yep. For example, if they stay put at 21 or trade down my preference is definitely Reagor. That said, if they took Mims, Higgins, Aiyuk, or even Hamler, I'm not going to complain. I might not love the pick, but I won't complain. I have this bad bad feeling they are going to take someone like Gross-Matos, or Epenesa. God I hope I'm wrong.

That's why the 2nd pick is intriguing. The talent seems to be before the pick. The sweet spot seems to between 25-45. There has to be a partner which makes the trade down questionable and a run on WRs can complicate things.

Almost twice the amount of users online here than the "other" one.

Who is the one player not projected to go round 1 you really want on the team?  Mine is Willie Gay Jr.

Funny enough I was thinking the same , but I’ll say Antonio Gibson. Imagine him in this offense paired with Sanders, put him in the slot a bit, he’d be perfect for this team, I’m not sure he’s worth 53rdpick and he’s not going to last to 103

I'm intrigued by WR/RB Antonio Gibson.  More of a build of a running back (6'0" 228 lbs), but ran a blazing 4.39 40 at the combine.  Seems like he could be a nice chess piece to use all over the formation (RB, FB, WR).  Also returns and covers kicks.  Could be great value if we get him in the 4th.

LOL, I posted this on another thread this morning:-

Here's hoping Howie can work some magic to get more picks in the gap between 53 & 103.

Looks to me like a lot of really nice prospects are gonna go in that range:-

LB - Willie Gay, Logan Wilson

CB - Darnay Holmes, Cam Dantzler

OL - Jonah Jackson, Robert Hunt, Matt Hennessey

RB - Antonio Gibson

DE - Jon Greenard, Jabari Zuniga, Darrell Taylor

S - Ashtyn Davis

The more I watch and learn about Logan Wilson, the more I want him as an Eagle. Not the athlete that Gay is, but his instincts are on another level. Has that happy knack of being in the right place at just the right time, and as a former HS WR he has the hands to make interceptions. Whip smart, tackles with authority and has no injury/character baggage. Leads by example and is the perfect replacement for Bradham at SAM. Give the kid a year in the system, he'll be calling all the shots and leading this D.

Now Gay has much more boom or bust to him. His measurables equate to Bobby Wagner 2.0, but there are red flags which might be remind you more of Vontaze Burfict! Inexperienced, but  with a great skill-set. Would represent far more of a gamble than Logan Wilson, but it could pay off spectacularly. He could be a Pro-Bowler within 2 or 3 years, or might be out of the league by then. Would be a ballsy pick by whichever GM takes him in R2.

Love the idea of Antonio Gibson to complement Sanders and Scott, but I just can't see a guy with his physical gifts lasting until Day 3. I reckon Howie would have to trade up from #103 to get him, but perhaps he'd be considered too much of a luxury at that price?

R1 - Small trade back, draft REAGOR/MIMS/AIYUK/WR of your choice
R2 - Small trade back, draft GAY/WILSON
R3 - Trade up, draft GIBSON

Then again, I'd really like to see Ashtyn Davis and Darrell Taylor on this team, too!

Only one thing is certain tomorrow night: I will boo the living f/ck out of whoever the Cowboys draft and wish instant failure on them. In this particular instance I hope they lose internet/phone connection.

My wife is all about sauvignon blanc.  I've learned to acquire the taste.  I prefer reds.  The oenophiles heads will spin on this, but I just enjoy whites better when they taste like apple juice.  I can't appreciate the nuance of a dry white.

I almost don't ever dislike any wine, at least on its own.  Some of the best wine I have had has been a fruitier white blend.   My general preference is for red and I like Bordeauxs and Malbecs.  Of course, some times it's the meal that makes the wine for me too.

Yup hopefully Howie can figure it out from his basement. I wonder if the new format is going to make teams less willing to pull trades?
