Willie Gay might be a realistic target at 53 or maybe even a small trade back and we can get him and another pick.

I really dont think he will be on our board due to character.

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Gettleman is a treasure.  We need the Giants to win just enough to keep him around.  I don't actually believe this but did see the reports that they have been doing crazy amounts of pre-draft prep with Herbert.  This would be in line with taking a running back ahead of a franchise QB when you have the 2nd pick, or taking a QB with accuracy and turnover problems 6th overall because he works out with the Manning brothers.

It is becoming annoying that they are in the top 10 literally every year, but it is better than having them picking in the 20's I suppose.

It was bad enough from that standpoint, but I'll go to my grave saying Daniel Jones would have still been on the board at #37.  Nobody else had that guy as a first round prospect, even at QB

Sheil went bold in one of his latest columns by saying that the Eagles messing up WR in this draft would be a season-crippling blunder.

I don’t think he’s completely wrong. We went 9-7 in one of the worst divisions in football over the last 5-10 years. Not sure you can expect to do that again. I think if you fail to get Competent WRs then you are running an offense similar to last year where relying on desean to stay healthy. The redskins and giants defensive should be much better. I think the division is going to be better.

Ahhhh Mr Triggered making things political again.  Swear you deflected yesterday and tried to claim you weren't  RJP.  Why the change?  Trying to shed a rep you're not proud of?  Not doing a good job at it.

MY FIRST POST ON THIS BOARD, FOLLOWED BY MY RESPONSE TO YOU LAST NIGHT WHEN YOU CLAIMED THIS BS. NICE JOB WITH THE EPIC FAIL DB.

Formerly known as RJP2743...new board....new name.

You would be completely wrong as per usual. I made it very clear who I was from the old board, full disclosure from the start. Try again clown. While we are talking though, can you please tell me how to properly make meat. You being such an expert on meat and all.

You might like a good sauterne.

My father-in-law (who got me started on wine) had this thing for buying a bottle of wine the vintage of a baby's birth year that you'd open when they turn 21.

My daughter was born in 2000 so we bought a bunch of things - was a great vintage around the world.  some ports, sauternes, etc.  She turns 21 next april and I'm really looking forward to seeing what they turned into.

My son was born in 2002 - a relatively crappy year for aging around most of the world but I have a couple of cabs and a couple of rieslings that I can't wait to try in a couple more years.

If the Redskins get Chase Young, hope they don’t suck badly enough to get Trevor Lawrence in 2021 or they will be set up really well. I love Lawrence as a prospect.

Yup that’s been my biggest fear with the giants and redskins. I think both are going to be better than Last year where they aren’t picking top 5. Frankly I’m shocked Carolina didn’t just go all in tank mode to get Lawrence. Bridgewater isn’t the guy to take you anywhere. i think the jaguars wind up being the worst team and taking Lawrence.

Sauvignon Blanc is my favorite too.  Not so much any oaked wines.

I'm pretty equal opportunity, but a Sauv Blanc or a really dry Chard (masquerading as a Sauv blanc) make me pretty happy.  Been enjoying a gruner veltliner from Oregon lately too.

But Pinot Noirs are my first and true love.  Oregon or Cali even more than the french, but I think that's as much knowing more about the US wines as anything else.

Oh look...it's damn near wine'o'clock too!

Yep. For example, if they stay put at 21 or trade down my preference is definitely Reagor. That said, if they took Mims, Higgins, Aiyuk, or even Hamler, I'm not going to complain. I might not love the pick, but I won't complain. I have this bad bad feeling they are going to take someone like Gross-Matos, or Epenesa. God I hope I'm wrong.

I would have strong reservations if they take Hamler in the first or even early second if they were to trade down that far.

I wouldn't worry about it being a DE. I would worry far more about it being a LB.

Or maybe people could just refrain from blatantly lying in failed attempts to attack someone unprovoked. Don't want to get called out and exposed for fraudulent behavior, don't run your mouth and spew BS......just saying

From the standpoint of making the team better, LB would not be a bad pick.

I'd take Fields if I had the #1 pick next year.

It would be a terrible pick. It doesn't move the needle much for this team.

That doesn't give much of an answer.  But thanks for trying.

I wouldn't be thrilled with Hamler in round 1. My point is it would be a WR and a speedy weapon for Wentz. As far as LB, that's the one position I wouldn't get upset about them taking over a WR. Their best LB is Nathan Gerry, so I don't think it's a stretch to say it's an even greater need than WR.

The Giants can't possibly be stupid enough to take Herbert  at four, just one year after taking Danny Dimes, can they. Speaking of QB's, which bum day three QB are we going to waste a pick on this year. Guessing Morgan or Stanley.

That's very true about Hamler though I'd argue that there are major concerns there.

With regards to LB, it would be a complete waste of a pick. I'm so far off of LB it's untrue.

If they take Hamler in the first they would deserve the negativity coming their way. I would be fine with him in the second as long as it's not our first pick.

Would be taking after the cardinals who took Rosen inside the top 10 and then took Murray at one last year.

It's a moot point since they aren't going to take a LB. Their entire offseason, coupled with the fact that need and value will meet up for them at WR means they are going WR. I honestly believe the Eagles have done their best to float things out like the LB stuff to try to fool teams. The whole thing about waiting for a WR is so flawed, considering if they pass on one in the first round they would be even more backed into a corner to have to take one at 53 and be at the mercy of who is still on the board. They are going WR.

Really?  Gerry is a 5th round pick, Edwards is an UDFA, Singleton is an UDFA .... I think either Patrick Queen or Kenneth Murray would be a tremendous upgrade over what the Eagles got last season -- it would make life a lot harder for Saquon and Zeke.

Right. Difference though is that Rosen showed after one year that he didn't have it, while Jones showed a lot of promise as a rookie. Not to mention that Herbert isn't Kyler Murray.
