Hmm.  Feels like we've finally cut the cord.  Floating out in the ether. Anger at the faceless dismissal and marginalization of it's own fans by PE.com. But extreme gratitude for guys l

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

I just heard that Reagor had 12 qbs in college. That can't be true right?

That would be absurd.

Sounds like a lazy stat. According to PFR there was 12 passers from 2017 - 2019 but some guys carryover and some guys have only 1 or 2 pass attempts

Was this known?

And the 4.47 just ran a 4.2...probably the fastest in pads out of all of them at this point.

I think Wingo said right off the top of the first night draft broadcast that McShay was home with COVID, so Kiper would be solo on that gig.

Ahh. I didn’t watch the first two picks so I guess I missed it.

Wow

Clowney an Eagle yet

It's a shame that this year, of all years, is the time they have a large haul of 10 players with 7 after round 3.

7 players in rounds 4-7.  That's a tremendous challenge and burden for the coaching staff, with no minicamps, likely no camp...to actually roster these guys.  The smattering of late season additions and ill-fated depth that was attached to the back of the roster last year at WR/OL/LB/DE is going to be much, much more serviceable than all these draft picks coming in completely cold and uncoached.  The draft picks have the potential, the 2019 scrubs have some experience and coaching so they can at least get plugged in.

It's going to be very difficult for the coaching staff to do justice to this investment and to see it through.

I think there will be training camp.

I mentioned this the other day, but Spain’s soccer league has already resumed practices and are planning to resume competition play in June. Most of the other leagues aren’t far behind.

The mutation happened long ago. Months ago it was said to have mutated 2 or 3 times from the one that first hit Wuhan. Now I read 8. But the mutations are not changing the part of the virus that a vaccine will attack. Its a non-issue.

A question just occurred to me. If what you are saying about it being a non issue were true then why are doctors unsure if people can be reinfected? They were unsure before mutation discussions happened, but one of the things I read today mentioned the mutation is the reason reinfection is possible. So why would it be different for vaccines?

@ToastJenkins

That TMZ story is wild, you guys.

We dont know what reinfection might look like

but probably like other corona viruses

Most mutations will have no effect on the virus phenotype. The relatively rare mutations that alter surface proteins can affect vaccine efficacy.

You weren't kidding. That's was a wild ride.

8 different QBs and the the one who went furthest lasted 1 month on the Raiders I believe.

There are several subtexts to consider...

1) We are the only team in the division without a new head coach.  While other teams will be installing new staffs and schemes, we will benefit from continuity.

2) That being said, Doug is adopting a new approach to the OC position.  It will take some time for this dynamic to settle in.

3) Based on the players they've brought in, there will be changes to our coverage schemes.  How to let Slay "travel" will be a relative new concept to this defense.  I also see us using a lot more Big Dime with these positionless DBs.  Coach Manuel, who is replacing Undlin, has a lot on his plate.

4) I would have moderate expectations for day-3 rookies to begin with.  IMO, the bigger impairment will be the growth of second-year players.  This is where you would usually see a big jump in performance.  We need Dillard, JJAW, Edwards, and Miller to fulfill the expectations placed upon them.

Also, are guys doing rehab less prone to be infected?  Set guidelines for all to adhere.  The NovaCare Complex is plenty big where they could spread out, sanitize and be safe.

That part makes sense.  If it's only rehab guys, it decreases the number in the building.   The weight room is only so big.

Sacks are not everything.

Hopefully we won't be seeing any of Marcus Epps this year.

Yes.  ESPN reported that he had it which is why he couldn't be a part of it.

Interesting to see that he finds Kiper and Wingo as annoying as the rest of us though.  Basically, this reads, "he's unwilling to put up with them, unless he's being paid to do so."

Working in offensive players is much easier than defensive players, IMHO, especially WRs.  WRs can have a small slice of the offense, work them in slowly and then expand it as the year goes on. Hopefully, they learned their lesson last year with JJAW about firehose teaching.  The science behind it is simple... and its been known.  Chunk it.  Little chunks at a time are easier to process, so break it down and go from there.  We have a lot of speed this year, just having a speed threat on the field will mean something to defenses, even if it's the only thing that that guy can do.  Defenses have to respect it, and that should help open up the middle for the guys that were here last year.  Ertz, Goedert, Ward can 'eat' in the middle as these young guys get worked in.  As for Goodwin, he's been a pro for long enough that the only piece he'll really need is to get on the same page with Carson in terms of timing.

I'd rather go this year with fast guys who don't know what they are doing out there, than slow guys who don't know what they are doing.  If all else fails... 9 route!

McShay is annoying as the rest.  Hilarious he thinks he isn't.  Smug and arrogant.

I was making that up.  I didn't click the link.  I couldn't care less about ESPN coverage.  I hope he recovers, but I didn't miss him during the draft... but Kiper was annoying.  Wingo was down right unbearable at times.
