Hmm.  Feels like we've finally cut the cord.  Floating out in the ether. Anger at the faceless dismissal and marginalization of it's own fans by PE.com. But extreme gratitude for guys l

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Finally the cardinals eagles game is in December when the weather is going to be awesome to go to. They almost always have it September or early October when it’s still hot. Going to that one if allowable. Gonna try to get out to SF for that game if they allow fans

If you have NBC Sports Philadelphia, tonight at 10:30 they're airing 'Forever Philly, Nick Foles'. Most likely a re-run from a couple of years ago.

It is.  They played it the other day as well.

Week 9 bye is great.

AND FINALLY a TNF home game!!!

The schedule is well spaced out. Bye week right in the middle. Seattle/GB/New Orleans will be a tough stretch though.

The two trips weeks 15/16 bother me.

But I like the mini bye before Dallas week 8.

only three home games after the bye?

SF, Pitt, Baltimore

Seattle, GB, NO

2 brutal 3 game stretches

Weeks 12 - 14 look like the bracket busting they do in college hoops.

Huge tie-breaker implications.

I'd rather play Dallas in the cold in December, but at least we get them in a night game.

Also, getting the Rams at 10am their time is low-key good.

That's a fairly favorable schedule compared with some others we've seen handed out to this team.

Thursday night game, at home, after a home game the Sunday before.
Mini-bye before Dallas #1.

Toughest spot is the back to back road games at Ari and at Dal given the travel.  I wonder if the Eagles will consider staying out there like they did with the back to back California games in 2017.  It's not as far, but it's still pretty far.

That stretch at the end of November until New Year's will be the area where we find out what this team is really made of.  Seattle, GB, NO, Ari (who I think will be improved over last year) and Dal.  That's going to make or break the season.  Ideally no more than 2 losses going into that stretch and a winning record in that stretch and this team is guaranteed a division crown, and would be in the running for a bye.  (Last season with 2 bye teams in a conference... at least until they do something else screwy to mess with the playoffs.)

Too small to read.  What's the upshot of it all?

Good read in its entirety. I will skip some of it.  Basically he proposed that student athletes be able to declare for the draft after their first year.  The academic institution owes a year for every year an athlete completes to a total of four unless they stay all years and they get a fifth.  No redshirt years but five years of eligibility. Think Rudy, kid would have got a graduate year.   No limit on scholarships.

If the kid declares he can consult with agents and lawyers but can’t take any compensation from them. If so, he retains his eligibility.  If drafted 224 and above, he is done with academic eligibility.  But if below 224 or undrafted and no agent compensation he can return to school, eligibility intact.

I can see us going 4-2 in those 6 games. I’m also a homer

NFL rule is 3 years out of high school, or so I thought.

Anyone see how many teams the Eagles play who are coming off bye weeks?

Gross.
