Yup.  I just bake them in oven for 20 minutes to make sure they are not raw, then grill at a high temp.

I bake mine in the oven as well then sauce and broil for about a minute

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

My wife was raised on Sweet Baby Ray’s so I have no choice there. BBQ sauce is way down the list for me anyway. I prefer Buffalo and garlic Parmesan (my 5 year Old’s favorite ... or at least will tolerate). I typically make about  24 wings and divide them equally among the three.

I like buffalo as well i have never made garlic parm ones, ive bought them but i should give em a go.

Oh. Grilling talk.  Cool.

I was waiting for the culinary expert to chip in lol

I'm trying to do more dry rubs just based on caloric intake but by mistake I created a great sauce.  I never use the same amounts, it always varies but it makes an amazing hot sweet rub for any meats.

Any regular or honey BBQ sauce

Brown sugar

Worcester sauce

Hot sauce

Powdered mustard

Red pepper flakes

Garlic powder

i actually hate mustad but powdered mixed with other flavors really adds a good flavor.  I'm not a chef at all but like to mess around with different spices and such.

I collect BBQ sauces like guys collect craft beers.  As I travel I love to bring home different kinds from all over the country.

I have a bunch of those so I must be doing something right:lol:

Garbage.  So many good taco spots here in the south.  It’s like getting a steak hoagie from subway.

I loathe taco bell but my wife craves it every once in a while. I did morning prep at a mexican restaurant in california and worked through the lunch shift so i know my way around the basics of a taco and burrito and i find my self trying to replicate a crispy gordata chalupa burritto thingy just so my wife wont bring taco bell home😄

well, you cant so stop trying.

And if you ever could, it would be redundant anyway.

We were depressed this year. Cinco De Mayo fell on a Taco Tuesday and we couldn’t hit our spot.  Good thing.  I didn’t need to drink Margaritas on a Tuesday.

the line at taco bell drive through was insane 2 days ago.

I’ve shared before.  But will again.

Toss FRESH wings in a rub along with some corn starch or baking powder.  That helps make them crispy.  I do like the Franks Buffalo Ranch Rub. But I also just like to mix it up.  Bake in the oven to almost done.  Finish on the grill.  And then toss in whatever you can handle.  Done.  Grilling them straight from raw State isn’t as good.  But I think someone already covered that.  I had wings tonight.  Just didn’t grill them cause it started to rain.

Hmmm cool thats basically how i do them to the T. I actually think i remember asking you a while ago here on the blog and you mentioned the baking soda, been doing it ever since works like a charm!

I’ve eaten in some banging arse soul food joints in S.C.   But I won’t bring myself to trying their Mustard based BBQ.  No thanks.

That's the thing with the powder...I only add a tablespoon at most.  It doesn't make it mustard based at all, just adds a smidge of flavor.  I won't do mustard based either down south.  Hate it.

When we moved down here last year.  There’s an old gas station converted into a Mexican spot.  They were pressing the tortilla behind the counter.  We were the only English speaking people in there.  Had a pile of Cilantro on the cutting board.  Place is legit.  2 miles from my house.

we have a guy with a food truck. j zapata.

Agreed, but if upgrades can be made on the line I never put that past the Eagles.
