Anyone know of any virtual drinking game that can be played through Zoom?  Got a virtual happy hour scheduled with some friends and no work for the week...

Not really a drinking game but a game that can be played while drinking.

Its called Psych, download it in whatever App Store, and start a private game. Point of the game is it asks weird questions about each friend, everyone submits an answer, everyone picks their favorite/funniest answer, 1 point for every person to pick your answer.

Think cards against humanity but you create the answers.

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Put the TV on.  Any time you hear these phrases during a commercial take a shot.

Stay Home, Stay Safe

During these unprecedented times

We're in this together

In a world with so much unknown

In this new normal

Now more than ever

Not a phrase but any voiceover by a calm, soft spoken women over top of piano music

That’ll be a short drinking game

My thought is that you’d be a damn fool not to use play action passing. It’s practically free money and creates space with little to no skill required.

I still don’t know how he was able to move like that in a blizzard

It was a fun game to watch live. Foles was on fire that year

For one thing it will be a good competition to watch.

Anyone watching these fights? That last guy’s eye was totally F’ed. Takes a different kind of nuts to wanna do this for a living.

But honestly I think it’s safer than football.

That game was incredible to watch live.  Forgot how exciting it was. A few things

-Shady was so freaking good.

-Forgot about Chris Polk.  It would have been something else to see him with a healthy shoulder and Bryce Brown at full potential.  Both had stud potential.

-If Nelson had just half the ball tracking skills of Riley Cooper he would be a heck of a WR.

-Patrick Chung, what the heck happened to him during his year here.

-Forgot they had Brad Smith.

-Legal issues aside, Kendricks is one of my favorite Eagles over the last decade.

-Jason Peters was limping around 7 years ago.  Gotta give that man props for what he's been through and the level of play he has kept up.

With Chipotle Mayo?  Oh, hell yes.

This stuff is crack.  Can't have a burger or hot sammich now without it.  My local ShopRite has it.

Man, I forgot how fun that game was to watch.  I was shoveling snow just before the game and then again at HT.

I remember in my youth playing a couple games, one during a blizzard when we were let out of school early.  It was the one time we could play tackle in the street and the only time we ever played by time instead of by score.  My side was down by 3 with seconds left and instead of trying to kick the game tying FG between the light post and tree (we were playing a big rectangular cul-de-sac) we opted to go for the game winning TD from midfield.  I was on the outside and the other side had confusion in their coverage assignments so not being fully covered I streaked towards the corner EZ (where the driveways/sidewalk started) while our QB tossed a bomb towards my direction which I had dive full extension for to catch it and hydroplaned across the goal line.  Another time after a big snow storm we went up to the big open field behind our development where we had painted a football field (60 yards long) on the grass and had put in cones to mark the EZs.  The field was covered in snow including 3'+ snow drifts on the far sideline so we really could only use 2/3 of the field since the other 1/3 was covered in deep snow, but we could see the cones.  We actually played 10 yards for a 1st down with 2 pieces of wood painted red and tied together with string to mark 10 yards.  I had a down vest and a Penn State t-shirt/jersey that I tied tight so I felt like Shane Conlin out there and with our team up and the other team driving I intercepted a pass in our EZ to prevent the winning score and then tried for the pick-6, but the QB had the angle on me so I ran towards the snow drift side of the field and was basically tackled by the high snow.  But we won.  Love playing in the snow.  Some of the best childhood memories.

When we all got older (college age) we used to a Xmas Bowl tackle game on a field.  The one year it had snowed a day or two before then got really cold.  The morning of the game when I woke up and looked at the thermometer outside my bedroom window and it read 12 degrees.  That game was like playing playing the Ice Bowl as the snow covering the field had frozen over.  We probably could have played hockey on it had we hosed it down with water.  By that time I think all of us can remember is how sore we were for days after playing those games.

My mom had a ton of really short wooden spoons. After she’s break them on my brother and I, my dad would stand down the end and she would keep using them. Good old days...

Thinking of getting a Big Green Egg or Kamado Joe, or the like. Looking for wisdom from the grillers here. Don’t need the biggest size. Cooking for anywhere from two to six people, rarely more. Ease of cleaning a major concern. I recognixe they can be pricey.
Do I even want one? I sous vide my ribeye and sear in my cast iron pan. Perfect.

As I said, looking for wisdom.

I haven’t used one myself (I go with the classic Webber kettle grill) but I know a couple of guys that have Eggs and absolutely swear by them.

every once in a while when I make it out to Reading China and glass in Lancaster I see a huge one they have there...from a food science standpoint it makes a lot of sense to me.

@Parrot Head

I seem to recall you having one of these if memory serves. Thoughts?

One of my favorite games to ever watch. I'll always remember it, too, because I had the flu at the time.

Saw this mentioned in the comments section in Tommy’s article about the LBs...

According to Sports Info Solutions, Nathan Gerry missed 29% of his attempted tackles, third-highest among linebackers with 50 such attempts.

I had so much hope for Bryce Brown.

Can someone explain social distancing to me please?  I understand the concept of staying 6 feet apart.  However, today was my first day experiencing lines doubling the length of the store, wrapping through aisles.  I walked by at least 150 people down the aisles because of these lines.  If we were able to shop like normal people would be more spread out no?  I would never have walked by that many people.  Gone are express lanes so if you have 1 item, you wait with the rest.  I feel like this defeats the purpose.  Also, if all stores were open we wouldn't all have to be in the same 5-6 stores.

I'm just really confused by a lot anymore.  Nothing and I mean nothing makes sense.  Everything contradicts everything.  The memes make more sense than what I see on the news.

How is having exit only and entrance only, one way aisles, 6 feet back but not 6 feet to the side going to stop anything?  Every store had an extra employee at the entrance and exit within 6 feet of the customers.  I just don't get it.

I'm asking these questions looking for an honest and serious response that explains the thought process and how any of it makes sense.

Same here.  Dude came out on fire then just flamed out.

I think the idea is if you're going to mandate a social distancing in the store you should also limit the number of people in the store at one time.

I've been to approximately 30/40 Eagles games over the past decade. This game was probably top 3 most memorable.

The bolded makes a lot of sense in theory, as does most precautions. The problem will always be people listening and following guidelines.

I took this photo during the first quarter. What made the whole experience even better was the fact that the snow wasn't supposed to start until well after the game ended. It was completely unexpected.

I guess I can understand the entrances, you don't have to walk by anyone.  One way aisles though, I'm still going to pass someone if they are slow, standing looking at products or talking.  There is no benefit.  I thought there was at first but there really isn't.

There was an article someone posted a while back on the old board which basically showed you don’t even need to run the ball for PA to be effective and you can use it basically an unlimited amount without a decay in its efficacy. Really wish I could remember/find it.

Basically just the mere moment where the back 7 has to freeze to diagnose the play is enough to create a major advantage for the offense. It explains why the RPO is so effective as well.

This is one of those analytics things where coaches haven’t all embraced the statistical evidence and those who have enjoy a competitive advantage. Smart coaches would push the envelope on this in an extreme way IMO.

It’s not unlike Doug’s aggressiveness on 4thdown in that regard. We have an advantage because our coach isn’t chicken sh** stuck in traditional conservative thinking, and yet the numbers say he still isn’t close to how aggressive he should be. The same applies to play action. No team runs it anywhere close to enough.

I think the ultimate goal is to somewhat control flow through the store. Pie in the sky is everyone 6 feet apart but its just not realistic if you let in everyone in that situation. I’d say the measures certainly limit exposure but not eradicate. It will always be up to individual people to determine the effectiveness.
