Think you’re mistaking doom and gloom for realism. With no vaccine, that scenario is real life with no way around it.

Hmm.  Feels like we've finally cut the cord.  Floating out in the ether. Anger at the faceless dismissal and marginalization of it's own fans by PE.com. But extreme gratitude for guys l

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

How so? The whole league would have to already have Covid, right?

It allows the teams to know who is at risk and who is not.  You could have most of a roster that tests positive.

I’m just fine. The small business I manage got the ppp loan so I’m getting paid and working somewhat. Still have not received the 4 weeks of unemployment I’m owed.

Mostly just bored. I’m still somewhat young and enjoy going to bars and getting rejected by women.

I miss going to bars as much as anything else... It the little things like "open or closed?"

Next time I'm at a bar it's def staying open for a few days

Seems like it's a lot harder for a lineman to play into their 40s over a QB, especially a dude as big as Peters.

OL is actually a position with a lot of longevity. Pretty equal with QB from what I’ve seen over the years.

So Jason Garrett is a knockoff Kellen Moore?

That's well done.   We can only hope it works out that way.

Back to sports and the pandemic.

I live in Baltimore and absolutely love Camden Yards. Going to games is so much fun and since the Os suck you can pay $15 for a ticket and move down to the lower level.

That being said I couldn’t tell the last time I watched a full baseball game on TV. No offense but baseball is so boring. With each generation comes less and less interest in baseball. I barely watch MNF anymore let alone prime time baseball.

Of our major professional sports, I think baseball will be the first to fade into the abyss. I’ll honestly be shocked if MLB is around in 50 years.

MLB isn’t going anywhere.  Attendance is down, but TV ratings are actually growing. Plus it has the second highest international appeal of the 4 major US sports after basketball and the NBA.

At this point we just have to assume they like Trevor Williams to return to the form he is capable of when healthy and hope they are right (though we saw plenty of evidence against it) in gambling on the other guys to play outside when he gets injured.

Maddox is pretty good so I’m fine

I said no season weeks ago and labor issues being the largest concern.  But there's no use in dwelling on it right now.  National numbers are going down.  So, who know what happens in the next month.

LA County is saying they are going to extend stay at home for 3 months.  Unreal.  Numbers don't mean a thing to these governors.  Stay at home was asked us for to flatten the curve and slow the spread so hospitals wouldn't be overrun.  I fear Gov Wolf has this up his sleeve.

not outside though. bit question mark that so far doesnt look good out there.

Unless they make it mandatory for every single citizen to get a vaccine there is absolutely no reason to wait for a vaccine for anything.

The flu vaccine, which not everyone gets is only 45% effective according to the CDC website.  45%!!  Think about that for a minute.  Let it sink in when you listen to people say we can't open the country back up until there is a vaccine.

AZ lifting their stay at home order so AZ sports teams can resume practices again.

Seems to be a bit advantageous for them, no?

And gyms and pools opening tomorrow. The stay at home technically isn’t lifted til Saturday morning.

Advantageous?  Isn’t that the point?

Seems a bit odd there isn't a standing rule that no teams can practice until all can one would think.

Not only that we have no clue when a vaccine will actually come to fruition. Just cause they make advances doesn’t mean there’s not going to be set backs or potential downfalls. It might be a couple months or it legitimately might not be for over a year. There’s no exact timetable. Just projections with advances they made they can get to that point by a certain date. There’s a chance a year (albeit likely increase chance they do have one) from now they still might not totally have it.
