The gradient on the numbers, which flows from "Sol” to white, represents the evolution of the "horns” designs through time, from white to yellow.

Textbook overthinking it.

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Other highlights from an Athletic article about the unveiling...

* There is a transparent film over the numbers that reflects when light hits them. That was designed with the television broadcast and SoFi Stadium’s Oculus video board in mind, as well as for fans in the upper seats of the stadium.

* The hue of the "Bone” jerseys was inspired by the natural color of a ram horn, as well as by California beaches and even the clothes of the players. Kirkham said the design team scrolled through player-arrival photos from game days and saw many repeatedly wearing designer clothing in this color.

* The chest patch, with its contrasted yellow "signature stitch,” is the three-stack "identity” logo that reads "Los Angeles Rams.” Kirkham said it’s there because the team wants to take L.A. with them when they wear the jerseys on the road.

Just a guess, but those guys got kids to feed too.

I'm seeing a lot of landscaping/lawncare and tree cutters in my area.  Companies like that aren't going to see any relief, and just seeing the trucks and equipment on the street has always been decent advertising for them.

My landscaper isn't too concerned about feeding his kids.  Supposed to lay down sod and do a patio 3 weeks ago and still hasn't shown up.    But we digress.

Or if someone calls a roofer to come out and get a quote.  Sure.  And if that customer wants to have their roof replaced even better.  Walking up to someones front door and ringing or opening the storm door to knock on the main door is not essential.  These guys are the "ambulance chaser" of the construction world.  Mostly all have out of state plates.

Just use that ring to answer the door, it's great.

Little known nugget in the CBA, a team can't have more than two Prince's on the same team.  Eagles have already met their quota.

We actually have 3 if you count Prince Harry. ;)

Only teams that change or should change their unis are teams who lack a strong loyal fan base and are desperate to generate merch sales.  Teams that just moved.  Or teams that are trying to reset to the past after dumb decisions (Bucs).  In recent years all of the following teams fall into one or more of those categories.

Chargers

Rams

Bucs

Miami

Detroit

Jets

Bengals

Browns

Titans

Jags

If any team in the NFC East changes anything, they would be stupid.  The Redskins have changed the color of their pants a few times in the past decade or so.  I actually think their gold pants with burgundy jerseys is a pretty slick color combo.  But they haven't overhauled much like some of the teams listed above.

Yeah i don't think the NFC east would do drastic changes, i think Dallas and Redskins will never change besides maybe some different combos like you mentioned. I could see giants going back to an older era of jersey.

We are the most likely candidate, I think we would only ever change to go to Kelly Green but if they change the 1 shell rule it would make that less likely. I think Midnight Green is an iconic in the league, Lurie probably wants to keep it even more after a SB win in it.

I would love going to kelly green, but the current uniforms need only a couple of minor tweaks — updating the number and letter font and modernizing the stripes on the pants. Pretty easy fix. Of course Nike would add a gradient or a weird drop shadow instead.

What if Jeffery catches that pass in NO the following year. Eagles comeback and win.  We don’t have to suffer through an off-season of S’ain’ts fans crying about how they were robbed and the NFL doesn’t have to suffer through a season of was it/wasn’t it challenges on PI.

I cringe reading the story behind designs.  It's sooo embarrassing.   Yes, the players want to take LA with them wherever they go so they need a patch on their shoulder.  GROSSS.  Like Albright said, it's to get people ready for advertising patches.

All the Rams had to do was use their throwback full time.  Why teams overthink uniforms is beyond me.  I want the Eagles to get new uniforms in the worst way but fear Nike would absolutely destroy them.  What are they doing my goodness.

I used to be a big proponent of going back to the kelly greens, but I actually dont mind the midnight green at all.

I think a pretty awesome compromise would be to replace the whites in the midnight green jerseys with the old silver color.

I think one of the easiest ways to "refresh" some things with eagles is use some new combos. Wear the Green(helmet) Black(top) Green (pants) combo that hasn't been worn since Staley was a RB here, Hell go all midnight green for a color rush. go white top and black bottoms on the road. See if any of these look good and stick.

I have sod from digging out an herb garden. Come and get it.

No offense but those color combinations sound horrible.  I'm a fan of green on white or all white.  Period.  Green pants look terrible regardless of combination.  But that's just me.  The all black is over done....but would look better if were no white stripes on the pants.

None taken, We have certain things we like to see. I do think this combo could look good with our modern jerseys and accessories

They could also change the facemask to grey/chrome and add a grey/silver set of pants.  They have grey in their color scheme.

Maybe we could just go complete mauve

Nike can't make silver

Yep those guys have kids to feed. These are companies from out of state.  They roll in town, do a bunch of roofs and then dip out.  Never to be seen or heard from again.  Deck companies are notorious for that as well.  There is a ton of people who have kids to feed.  They aren't obnoxiously banging on doors telling people they are missing shingles (when they aren't) or telling people they were contacted by the HOA (which they weren't) just to hope to rope some gullible senior citizen into replacing a 10 year old roof.  This neighborhood is only 10 years old.  I've never lived in anywhere where this goes on as much as here in NC.  All because there was a hail storm 10 miles away a year ago.

A couple of years ago, I was looking at replacing my twenty-six year old roof.  I had been out of state when my wife sent me a picture of hail on the yard.  A month or so later I was walking through the subdivision.  I noticed some roofer signs with hail claim pending on them. I came home and got out the ladder to look at the roof.  There were hail pings.  It wasn’t leaking but the pings lose gravel, the shingle is fully exposed and eventually leaks.  I called out my homeowner’s insurer and sure enough hail damage. I got a new roof and gutters for the cost of my deductible.  Homeowner coverage for the structure is replacement cost, no depreciation.  You do have to do the repair to get the depreciation paid.   (I also buy down my deductibles and have replacement cost on my belongings.  Cost to do so is incredibly cheap.)

A little advice, if there is hail in your area, get up and look at the roof.  There is a reporting period limitation for most homeowner policies and the last thing you want is to have the pings deteriorate and the roof start leaking and then you find out you are past the reporting period on the policy

My neighbor on one side went with a roofer fro half the state away.  Another went with an obvious storm chaser that had to hire for all the jobs they took on.  Guess which ones had issues.  I went local with a highly rated contractor with local references. I am one of the latter now.   I had to wait a little longer but it was worth it.

I know, that's why I say grey/silver.  Blows my mind that a company with the technology at their finger tips like Nike can't find a way to make silver with their new materials.  Heck the Rams numbers have a film on them so they show different on TV.

Those are probably my least favorite of all the jersey combos. I think the black is bad in all combos though.

I am looking forward to the time the patch helps a defensive player gain traction on a grab for a tackle and brings down the Ram player who had nothing but daylight in front of him but for the tackler.

Took them years to figure out midnight green too
