I cut the cord 2 years ago and watched the draft at a friend's last year.  Aside from watching ABC's broadcast,  what other options do I have to watch Goodell announce the picks live?

    Hmm.  Feels like we've finally cut the cord.  Floating out in the ether. Anger at the faceless dismissal and marginalization of it's own fans by PE.com. But extreme gratitude for guys l

    I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

With 12 personnel and being so TE heavy, I wonder if that's chicken or egg.  Is that how we want to run, or how we run when our WRs look like they do?

What's up Figgy. If they run offense like that because they have to then it's time to trade a TE for a pick to hopefully acquire a good WR. Yes you need trade partners.. still, I'm not overly crazy about running 12P unless u have amazing outside threats.

Easy separators are the best match for any qb worth sticking with, which obviously includes Wentz.

5’10” and wide open for an uncontested catch beats 6’4” in a fight for the football.

Separation comes from routes, quickness/acceleration, and pure speed.

If we are going to continue to emphasize 12 personnel with...literally, no joke...nearly 240 underneath targets to TEs per year, then we need TWO easy separating WRs with big speed, not one.  A TE heavy offense shouldn’t even feature a possession WR like Alshon/JJAW.  The fact that they actually drafted JJAW deeply concerns me that they have no awareness of that big picture or spacing.

Yup grabbing a non speed or deeo threat like JJAW just makes the offense more congested. Need some speed to improve spacing.

I love the kid but i don’t see the eagles taking him. If he didn’t have the core surgery injury i think he’d be in play as a top 25 pick.

Probably not at 21. But I think there’s an outside shot we get him somewhere

The Eagles want to integrate the 12 personnel as a package, but were forced to use it more because of the injuries to the WRs. I have brought it up enough times , but the Eagles O is predicated on horizontal stretch ( sideline -sideline). With 2 competent WRs outside it pulls the safeties apart and forces them to stay back or let the Eagles pound you with the running game and TE underneath. Without the horizontal stretch, there was also no vertical stretch. The safeties could play tight and close to each other. The 12 personnel is the only counter if you lack the WR's, so they ran 12 more often out of necessity.

I do think I’d prefer a top LB or CB at 21, rather than the 5th WR. You could always trade up from round two for a WR, there will be talented guys well into round two. But there won’t be a Murray/Queen or Diggs/ Gladney/Johnson too far in round 2.

Yup i second this. The 2nd rated corner or 2nd rated LB has better value than the 5th rated WR.

All those are positions of need i guess it depends which position eagles value more. At what point do they say, hey we dont value LB but this LB is rated at his position and as a player way higher than this 5th 6th rated WR???

I'm really liking Jefferson at 21 if the top 3 are gone

I likr reagor more. I think they need speed at WR. Not that jefferson is slow but hes not a field stretcher.

That has been my thinking for a while now...I am rolling with 3 options

Priority A - Stay put and grab one of the top 4 WR's

Priority B - Slide back 5-7 slots and grab a Tier 2 WR...pick up some ammunition to move up in the 2nd and grab a LB

Priority C - Stay put and grab the BPA with need - an LB (Queen or Murray) and then give up something to move up in the 2nd and get the WR

Everyone wants to say top 3 WR's then the second tier.  That first tier is 4 and Justin Jefferson is in it.

NBC Sports mock draft has Isaiah Simmons falling to #15.   That's nuts!

He is the only player I would trade up for. If he falls that far, the Eagles need to make a play.

i wouldn't mind UT WR Collin Johnson. He reminds me a lot of another C. Johnson

Im not super amazing at web development but in the embeding:

body {
  1. /* background-color: #00454d; */
  2. color: #353c41;
  3. font-family: "Roboto","Helvetica Neue",Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;
  4. font-size: 13px;
  5. /* margin-top: 15px;

if you remove the magrin-top and background-color it centers the tweet and will not have the midnight green, attached is a screenshot of what i mean and in the dev console where it is.

i hope this helps

The board is now worthy of a Don.

We have 136 online users. Old board has 91. First time I have seen this one with more. Getting big!

That's silly.

Why not just take the highest rated Punter?

It's not about whether it's the 5th WR or the 2nd CB, its about which PLAYER is the better prospect and fits your team better.  If you want to say that CJ Henderson is a better prospect than Denzel Mims... then say that.  That's meaningful.   And I agree.   If you say 2nd CB over 5th WR, then I'll have to ask you who they are and consider them...

As for the LB... same deal.   Is Patrick Queen or Kenneth Murray a better fit and prospect for this team than Jalen Reagor... whether Reagor is the top WR or the 10th doesn't matter... same as whether or not Queen/Murray is the 2nd best LB or the 12th.

I just sent Don a D pic like I said I would. I hope many of you will join the D pic brigade so we can flood his inbox till he gives in and joins.
