Speaking of places with no signal, anyone have any experience with cell signal boosters?  We're not in the boonies by any means but my new house is smack dab in the middle of a blind spot for cell signal and it's infuriating.  The signal boosters get real pricey though so I'm trying to be smart about it.

Hmm.  Feels like we've finally cut the cord.  Floating out in the ether. Anger at the faceless dismissal and marginalization of it's own fans by PE.com. But extreme gratitude for guys l

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

(yeah, someone's going to post Harold Carmichael wearing 17 but that was before my time really)

Here's another one before your time, Gene Washington, SF 49ers, #18, John Brodie was his QB, probably the best WR/QB combo I've ever seen.

There was another Gene Washington during that era, he played for Minnesota, Joe Kapp was his QB.

Wow, someone actually gets it. I've been quietly making this same argument for years. The Redskins went 14-2 that year, and would have been 15-1 if they hadn't pulled their starters in the finale against the Eagles at the Vet and lost on a last second field goal by Roger Ruzek. They were statistically one of the most dominant teams of all time. They were going to stomp everyone in the playoffs that year, no matter who the opposing quarterback was.

DVOA ranked that 91 redskins team top 10 all time in offense and defense.

That team was stacked on both sides, had the eagles with randal met them in the playoffs im not sure they beat the redskins even with randall, but it would have been fun to find out, its really a shame randall went down, they would have been contenders for sure.

I missed a good portion of that whole season. Boot camp from Sep until Nov.  Then got stationed in Boston and lived on the boat the whole winter.  I do remember seeing one game when Kemp was the QB in a sports bar.  Was still underage then.  Which didn’t stop me at some of the bars in Boston.

I missed most of it as well, i lived in Utah at the time😄😒

That’s a helluva what-if. That defense was something else. It’s the most underrated defense of all time.

Cried like a baby when he went down.  I knew our chance went out the door with him. That defense was one of the best ever, they were on the field more often because the offense was so bad.  They are better then the numbers say.  As good as any defense that has ever played and one of the best defensive lines ever assembled.

Marion Motley wore #76...as a FB/LB for the Browns.

Saints "would have beat us". Then they should have beat the team when they had the chance we demolished the next week and gotten their chance at us. Here the kicker though that was our year and we would have kicked their candy arses

Yup.  It was clearly predestined.  It was a wonderful Cinderella story, or Ugly Duckling, or Underdog Tale.  Whatever.   It was the year that all Eagles' fans waited a lifetime to see.  1960 to 2017... 57 years of waiting.  It was finally "OUR" year.

Saints fans are becoming just as unbearable as Dallas fans to me. They are insufferable. The author of that story also tried to legitimize his point by bringing up that the Saints beat the Eagles twice in 2018. A totally different year and team.

I knew he was a rat, but I thought he at least wanted to keep his job.  I didn't realize his job was as a double agent.

And he had the audacity to say he didn't know why he was cut after that game... and tried to point fingers everywhere else.

Always wondered why Cliff Branch and Fred Bilitnikoff wore 21 and 25 back in the day.

He’s gonna be disappointed.

Care to make a friendly wager on Reagor's rookie numbers?  Some dumb stakes like winner picks the loser's avatar or banner for a few months or something like that.  Set an over/under for an odd number of stats and whoever wins the majority wins.  Betting on a rookie with a shortened off season is probably a bad idea, and I'm way too full of bourbon to think of exact numbers right now but plenty of time to iron out the details if you're interested.

Sure.  Why not.  2 months of Avatar control?

I did this once before and lost.  Had an interesting Avatar.   I would say what it is.  But certain sensitive and self-righteous posters wouldn’t like it.

Let’s negotiate over/under stats via IM.

Yards and TDs?

I'm in.

Yeah maybe yards, TDs  plus maybe receptions with and winner takes at least 2/3? We can look at the past few years worth of rookie receivers and figure out reasonable cutoffs.  I'll take a look over the next few days and IM you ideas.  Finalize numbers once we know there's actually going to be a season.

Eric Allen and Seth Joyner should be in the HOF regardless.  They have some unreal statistics and it blows my mind they never get a mention outside of the Philly market.

Absolutely!  Joyner was a beast.  I just rewatched the 92 season recap and Joyner was a man possessed.  Sacks, timely interceptions, in the run game.  He was so freakin' good!  And Allen was amazing as well.

Do catches, yards, and TDs. Best 2 out of 3 wins.

And I'm pretty sure my old avatar was the most offensive in EMB history from a lost bet...

I also consider Joe Gibbs to be an all-time great head coach and he’d be several notches above Bill Parcells on any all-time list IMO.  I’ve always viewed Gibbs as underrated and Parcells as overrated.

If you want to win an avatar bet easily just take the under from the annual threads estimating sacks from each of the DL or receiving yards from all the receivers.  Not sure any individual has ever hit one of the predictions let alone all of them.
