No, the Eagles would have beaten the Raiders also.  The Eagles and Bucs were clearly the two best teams in 2002.

That raiders team was really good.top 10 in scoring and scoring defense.

Bucs had a cake walk because they had the raiders playbook.

Hmm.  Feels like we've finally cut the cord.  Floating out in the ether. Anger at the faceless dismissal and marginalization of it's own fans by PE.com. But extreme gratitude for guys l

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Yeah it does.  Although in doing some research there haven't been all that many rushing TDs over the past few years from rookie receivers. Deebo Samuel is the notable one from this year.

I hope you win the bet. If you do, it’s safe to say we hit on the pick.

I'm willing to beat 4for4 hopes he loses

DeAndre Baker making JJAW look like a 2nd round steal.

less than 10 racks. what a puss bet. wheres bacarty when you need a proper wager?

Based on the other guys who hit that mark I'd say it'd be a good sign  No one seemed interested in guessing so I'll just post the guys who I would have won with in the past:

Spoiler

Deebo Samuel 57/802/3

AJ Brown 52/1051/8

DK Metcalf 58/900/7

Terry McLaurin 58/919/7

DJ Moore 55/788/2

Calvin Ridley 64/821/10

Juju Smith-Schuster 58/917/7

Cooper Kupp 62/869/5

Sterling Shepard 65/683/8

Michael Thomas 92/1137/9

Tyreek Hill 61/593/6

Amari Cooper 72/1070/6

Probably naive to bet on him breaking into that category but hey, makes things interesting.

Yeah, that’s a good group to be in.

Only if you sign a combat waiver. Point is I guess that you being wrong would mean that we got a great player and I think you would be glad about that, no?

Meh.  I still don’t think those numbers would indicate we "hit on the pick” as the almighty suggest.  Or Reagor would be a great player.  I’d rather be right, cause I’m petty like that.  Hey.  At least I’d admit it.

Eh, I have a hard time looking at that lost and finding a guy who wouldn't be worth a first round pick in retrospect.  Maybe the primary slot guys like Smith Schuster, Kupp, or Shepard but that's not really a role I think of when I see Reagor.

Agreed. The only meh guy on that list is Shepard. I would call being a good player as "hitting on the pick.”

Good God.  The receivers were garbage on that 2003 team.  Freddie Mitchell was such a bum.

I wonder how they compare to last years receivers?

In looking through the past 5 years worth of WR picks it's pretty shocking how high the 1st round bust rate is. But I don't think 4for4 thinks he's going to be bad, I think he thinks he's going to be OK.  So decreasing the standard all the way to just "good" players wasn't really in the spirit of the bet.

I feel like I remember hearing fairly recently that some players dont respect Tomlin. Its hard to take anything seriously that might come out about him from former players.

Its the NFL and Im sure Greg Williams wasnt/isnt the only coach to do this. Its very believable but it needs to come from a lot more than just James Harrison, who I think was probably a Tomlin hater.

To go further down the rabbit hole, in regards to Williams.  All this crap with the Saints is karma (or design) for that bull ish IMO.

The report says there was a 3rd guy called ‘Shy’ who wore a mask.  At least he didn’t want to pass the virus onto anybody while he was stealing their cash and jewelry at gunpoint.

Agreed. Current wing design would look great.

I would love to see a something along these lines. Old school with some new school effects

Nope. But I’m eyeing a 130 bottle wine cooler.

That's a bit large!!! Is it a deep freezer style/size one?  Mine is about 30 or 40 I think, I mainly just age beer in it though.  I do however have one bottle of wine, the commemorative SB 52 Eagles one.  Bottle is absolutely amazing...laser etched, painted and whatnot.  I'll post a picture here in a bit when I get out of bed finally!!!

Side note to all, just had my final re-enlistment today.  This was my indefinite one that will take me till whenever I retire.  With it being police week (not my fav part of my job but part of it), today was suicide awareness day.  I was able to catch my late best friends dad (who happens to be a retired officer from our career field) in between meeting and have him do my re-enlistment over zoom from back in VA.  He was also gracious enough to send me his sons beret to wear while we did the ceremony.  Might have shed a few tears today!!!

That’s assuming Reagor would develop after his rookie year.

True, but pretty much all of the guys that hit those marks have continued to develop. Shepard probably the slowest but still.

Only based on first impression because it’s far too early to make any substantive evaluation, but I believe both Reagor and K’Von Wallace will be really good draft choices and earn second contracts with the team.

By design, Hurts will be moved after three years (Best case scenario he’ll provide something that will persuade another team he can be their starter as Wentz remains the Eagles franchise QB).  It would be great if the Eagles could strike gold with either Davion Taylor or one of the OL picks.

Ya but at least you get to watch the man, the myth and the legend in Reno mahe once again....

Wow, DeAndre Baker was such a baller at Georgia. WTF happened?

2003 WRs >>> 2019 WRs.  It's not really that close.

2003 top 3: Thrash/Pinkston/Fredex: 1,632 YDs, 13.6 ypc, 5TD.

2019 top 3: Alshon/Agholor/Ward: 1,107 YDs, 10 ypc, 8TD.

The 2019 WRs, by comparison, had the benefit of a vastly inflated NFL passing game and better TEs drawing coverage and attention in the middle of the field.

Just bought one for a bar I'm putting in the basement.  Half the fun is tasting and shopping to fill it.  The other half is emptying it.

I'd stay away from Vinotemp, nothing but problems from what I've experienced and heard.  Sub-zero are the best but very pricey.  Wine-enthusiast makes a nice one called vino-view that displays the bottles well.
