This past year's receiving group was the worst group I can remember in the past 20 years. And they still managed to make the playoffs. They obviously had injuries, but I can't remember being so frustrated.

The yards and TD comparisons aren’t relevant since the 3 guys listed for 2019 played so few games. The 2003 dreck was healthy for all 16 and did that. 

 

People should be able to virtually cheer using their cell phones or pcs. They could charge for the access number(s). Those signals are received at the stadium and a person or computer can select from sampled sounds and volumes based on the data received. In fact, if they're going to charge us, we should be able to sample our own voices and they would get fed into a large server. You should be able to cheer, boo or sing 'Fly Eagles Fly'.  The players need to hear that.

It’s really difficult to judge this past season’s receivers because they didn’t stay healthy. Frankly Alshon, Jackson, and Agholor are much greater than  the 99 and 2000 Eagles receivers. Small, Johnson, and Na Brown had 6 combined touchdowns in 99 and Small, Johnson, and Pinkston had 10 the following year.

Sure but then there is no way to determine if it’s genuine or fabricated. Teams already get busted for pumping fake noise with fans, this would open the floodgates

In Freddie’s defense he’s made three plays. 4 and 26, the catch against the Cowboys where McNabb was scrambling all over the place, and the LJ Smith fumble recovery. He also did make a lot of catches on third down for first downs. Don’t get me wrong I agree with you. He’s a bum, but he made a few plays.

Good point that had to be brought up. The company furnishing the servers would have to undergo some kind of screening and monitoring by the NFL; perhaps resulting in some kind of certification.

Until the so called 'curve' is truly flattened, we can only go back to normal until the numbers begin to crush us. The NFL will find a way to deal with this, as we all will, individually and alone.

I tried to do Eagles Reddit several times and it Fing blows. Group think is pushed to the top while any dissention is pushed out or ignored. The posting format sucks.  The discussion isn't nearly as insightful. People report each other for the tiniest thing. I'll take inside jokes and some hurt feelings over that BS all day.

Frankly couldn't care less about how great an interview with an Eagles media mouthpiece went. Eagles Reddit is garbage.

99/00 WRs played in a league that was far less pass friendly and, frankly, also had a QB who was not nearly as advanced as a passer at that point in his career.  

An inability to stay healthy is half the problem with the 2019 guys, so that's part of the judgement, IMO.  They never should have relied on that group.  

The fact that Small/Johnson/Pinkston and Thrash/Pinkston/Fredex played all 16 games and never forced us to start a udfa TE at WR is more to their advantage over the 2019 squad.  

Todd Pinkston or Thrash would have been, by far, our best and most productive WR last year.  In the current no-contact NFL, Pinky might even have been sneaky good.

Everything about Reddit is pretty terrible from my experience.

I cringe whenever I do have to go there for anything.

Certainly not going there by choice.
