I really don’t eat them.  Too much work for little meat.  (That’s what she said).  I steamed 2lbs if shrimp.  More my speed.

I did my first crab feast last year just across the Bay Bridge in a small marina.  It was a blast but I had no idea what I was doing.  The shells kept pricking my fingers, I could barely get any of the good meat off the crab but it was fun.  Luckily they had baskets of fried chicken too so I could fill up on that.

Hmm.  Feels like we've finally cut the cord.  Floating out in the ether. Anger at the faceless dismissal and marginalization of it's own fans by PE.com. But extreme gratitude for guys l

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Good article by Jimmy regarding the Eagles 30+ players.  If they make the playoffs, 12 players will be 30+ and we still could see JP and other vets added.  Reloading the pipeline of young players is imperative.  Another reason Hurts was such a poor use of a draft pick.  Using that 2nd on a guy who could replace BG, Kelce or a corner would have been huge.

Hurts is an old guy?

Seriously, leave it to the organization to make the decisions regarding building the roster.  The hit rate for the #53 pick is less than 40% but you’re making it sound like there was a bushel of All Pros on the board there.

If Hurts is called upon to come in and win important games (and recent Eagles history says he will be) he will be well worth the pick — if he delivers.

The picking is half the fun lol. Sit down with a bunch of family with some Landshark and your own little pick pile. No mallet just a butter knife.

No, Hurts is not an old guy.  The point I was making is we have old guys who play key roles on the team with less than ideal talent in the pipeline ready to replace them when their time as an Eagle comes to an end.  That 2nd round pick could have brought in some high caliber talent.  AJ Epenesa went the pick after the Eagles took Hurts.  He's a first round defensive end but doesn't blow you away as an athlete.  He's a 10 year pro if you ask me.  He just has that makeup about him.  Think Brian Robinson with the Vikings.

If Hurts comes in to help win important games then we have bigger problems on our hands.  That's what sucks.  If Hurts is getting significant time at quarterback, that means Wentz is hurt.

Agreed!  I have friends from college that just swear by eating these crabs.  I've done it multiple times in different decades, and it isn't that great.  When I dig around a crab's poop to find a good part to eat............I'm not that excited to eat it.

If I was Howie at #53 I’d have likely chosen between Mims, Epenesa, or Jeremy Chinn.

We know the Eagles showed quite a bit of interest in Mims pre-draft so I almost assumed he would be the pick there.  We also know the Eagles value pass rushers highly so they obviously didn’t have a high evaluation on Epenesa.  They used the pick at S to draft Wallace instead of Chinn so hopefully they know where the value was there.

Your last paragraph drives to where the Eagles are right now.  Joe Banner also said it — the Eagles simply can’t afford to bank on Wentz staying healthy

I live in MD, maternal side of the family has been here for a few generations now...  I'm over the crab feast deal.  I'll do it when I have friends in from out of town for the spectacle, but I have no interest in doing it myself.  If I'm going to eat crab, I go with crab cakes which, as fortune would have it, I am about to sit down and eat right now.

You also have to think of things in terms of win share.  Even a backup QB only playing a couple of games per season is likely to help you win more games than a starter at nearly any other position assuming that they are an equal marginal improvement over the average replacement.  QBs are just that important.

Do you get already peeled shrimp then?

I only eat the crab meat. I scrape the lungs off and wash off the guts in the sink. I know people that will not clean it and eat the guts too. That's just gross to me but oh well lol

I would easily burry some fried chicken before crabs.

There are some places in OCMD that do all you can eat crabs, fried chicken and ribs.  I always found myself gravitating towards the ribs and using the crabs and chicken as kind of a side dish.

When ribs are done properly they’re excellent, but so often restaurants screw them up and it’s a meal that can go south really easily

See I was to but I was gone a very long time. 15 years. So its new and exciting again. And Easton had beautiful weather for it yesterday. Also love the grilled sweet white eastern shore corn.

Kent island? I'm sitting in St Michael's right now.

This is why 3 cone doesn’t really matter when you’re an explosive athlete at WR. You just need the ability to sell a route and then stick your foot in the turf.

Note: This isn’t a pro-Metcalf post, just pointing out why a combine drill isn’t worth fretting over with certain athletes. Reagor for one.

Yea, but I want to say it was Kentmorr Restaurant.

The Eagles and Bucs were evenly matched in 2002.  Hence they played to a tie over 2 full games with the exception of the Barber INT return at the end of the NFCCG.  Eagles won the regular season matchup 20-10, and the Bucs won the playoff game 27-10 (their last 7 points on the Barber pick-6 in desperation time).  If those teams played 10 times each team would probably win 5 of them.  It was our bad luck that they won the game that counted.

Either team would have dominated the Raiders, playbook or no playbook.  The AFC was total garbage that year.

Yeah i remember watching both games and i remember the raiders who had a top 10 scoring offense and scoring defense.

That 2002 eagles team was pretty good the addition of antonio freeman in the slot made up for the failure of fred X but the loss of trotter with no real replacement hurt and Blaine bishop basically playing on 1 leg against the BUcs instead of conceding to mike lewis was a huge mistake.

That raiders team was good. 2nd in offensive scoring 6th in defensive scoring. Gannon was 1st team all pro, charlie garner was a few rush and receiving yards short of 1000 for both. The WRs were HOF receivers jerry rice and tim brown and on defense had the two woodsons one of which led the nfl in ints that year. That raiders team was pretty good from top to bottom and had spanked the eagles the year before with basically the same roster.

If bucs dont have Raiders playbook i think the raiders win it all whether they play the bucs or the eagles.

Yup. Great spot, but it closed a few years ago.  For fried chicken I usually go to Anthony's now.

Eagles have Semualo as a potential at C.  This year they added  Juriga, who the Eagles have been sniffing around since the beginning of the year and signed as a FA.  Can play C and G.  Good punch.   Not as fast as Kelce but talented.  They bolstered the OL with three solid players this offseason.
Sized and athleticism wise, closest thing to Graham is probably Shareef Miller.  Athleticism is very close except weight and strength.  Bet he worked all season and this offseason on adding about ten pounds of muscle in upper and lower frame.  Sweat is more athletic than Graham. Avery is probably a tad better.
Corner?  Who exactly would you have wasted a pick on in the second at corner?  Frankly, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Eagles are loaded at corner this year.  Any player in the #2 position is going to be better with Slay on the other outside corner.
