@BigEFly You got me. Just ordered the Instant Pot 9-in1. That sauté function got me hooked.

I was looking for a rice cooker and opted for the Instant Pot.   Just found brown rice and (MN) wild last week at the store so I should be making some rice soon. Finer rices, except Jasmine are not available still.
Mine has a soul vide option that I may try. That option got mixed reviews.
Haven’t used my old style pressure cooker in a while so will be trying some of my old recipes with that option.  Looks like it will be delegated to canning not cooking from now on.

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

If you have the storage, I would keep separate. I have three.  My Weber four burner gets the most use. For charcoal I have a small Weber kettle.  For smoking I have a two level barrel smoker that is older than any of my kids.  I can use with both wood and charcoal.  I prep the wood in my fire bowl and feed through the door. (My fire bowl has a grill I can attach too.)  My favorite uses for it are brisket, butt and jerky. For the latter, I start cooking at night and give my last feed about two a.m.   Wake up the next morning and the fire is out and my jerky is ready.  Flank or round for the jerky.
My advise is measure the largest thing you will smoke and see if it fits on that smoker with inches on both ends.  If your smoke salmon, briskets or tenderloins, you want them to fit well. To me, a side burner is a waste.  I suspect this is an either or device. Either smoke or grill.  Do you need to detach the propane to smoke or charcoal grill?

The furthest left is for the wood used to smoke.  Then the center unit splits into 2 grills.  The left center unit is either for charcoal grilling or smoking. The right center unit is the gas grill.  And furthest right is the extra burner. But since the gas grill is actually separate from the charcoal grill and smoker, you can actually use both at the same time, if need be.   It’s really big, the picture doesn’t do it justice.
As far as fitting things in the smoker, it would easily fit anything I would smoke.

But yeah, I prefer to have it all in one piece or else storing 3 grills/smokers would take up too much of my patio space.

Can you make a demi-glace with it?

I haven't, but I assume you can.  It produces a very gelatinous stock.  I've reduced it more and frozen it for use in thickening sauces.  Made a chicken stock thickened it and used it in potato and leek soup... turned out wonderfully, despite not having the garlic and thyme deficiencies.   Used garlic powder in place of fresh... the chicken stock had dried Italian seasonings  that was used on the chicken when pressure cooked.

I used the Instant Pot for the whole chicken... one cup of water... plus a splash more... and pressure cooked it in the Instant Pot (6 min per lb).  Then, took it apart (in the lifting out process, the breast separated from the legs... which was ideal.   I then split the breasts, and the leg quarters... and broiled to brown the skin (some suggest doing it before cooking as well).   Then deboned the chicken, placed the bones back into the Instant pot, filled to 2/3 line with water.  1 hour... of pressure cooking and voila... stock.  Then I took the lid off, and used the sautè option for two 30 minute cycles to reduce the liquid.

Do you fry them?

Yes

I was watching the Pat McAfee show and he mentioned NY, MA, and Philly not having fans (sounded like other teams would).

Is this something being discussed by the NFL?

It seems like it will be a team decision.  Miami is the only team I know of that has released a preliminary plan (25% capacity with staggered arrival times).

I don’t know how you can justify only having a certain percentage of fans. 50% is still roughly 30-35 thousand. 25% 15-20k. That’s still a lot of people.

Everything I read made it seem like it will be everyone has fans or no one does.

This thread is making me hungry.  Gonna grill some bison burgers tonight.  Little Worcestershire, garlic salt, and black pepper mix brings out a great flavor.

This is the way to go

Hey.  What a coincidence.  Exact same grill I got last year when we moved in.  Actually a year ago next week.  I would caution you against it.  Let’s see.  I had to get a whole new burner tube assembly thing (covered on warranty). 6 months into it.  The lighter doesn’t work, but most grills lifters crap out quick.  It’s been pretty useful since it has multiple cooking methods.  But the f-er is ridiculously heavy.  I also bought the cover from Lowe’s to go with it.  $49 I think.  Thing has about 10 holes in it already.  Not very good fabric.   Best to buy a heavy duty tarp and some bungee cords.  Doesn’t look as good.  But will last longer.   If I had to do it all again, I wouldn’t buy this grill.  But I also use and abuse grills.

Ok good to know. It’s back up to full price now so I’ll hold off on it.  If it gets reduced again I might consider it.  $400 for 3 grills isn’t too bad, even if it only lasts a few years.  I might just end up buying 3 separate...a smoker, coal & gas.  My fiancé probably won’t like it too much but hey, a guy needs his grills.

I would love to have that.  Would still need a grill and smoker.

it can double as a grill. You take the griddle cooktop off and can put on a grill grate.

I have the 36'' griddle. Came out before the one with the fryer. Would love to have that now. They fryer sits on a side burner so you have that too on the newer model.

I dont think they have any options for smoking as of yet.

wtf is wrong with this guy? He didnt flinch and actually looked like he might have enjoyed it!

My wife loved it any time I grilled. Think she still does but I do most of the cooking now.

What about a lid for rain etc?

After the talk  yesterday I had to go out and get a half bushel of 1's and stuff to make orange crush.

I didn't think it was so bad.  Its not like they bump and grind up in there and the throat swab was lickity split.  It's a weird sensation in the nostril for sure, but so brief.

Leading by example also means showing calm in the middle of a storm.
