History Channel is running a mini-series on Grant.  Final episode is tonight.  I haven't watched it yet, but I am starting it now.  Looks like 3 episodes, 2 hours each.

Verizon has the first two episodes on-demand.  I'm sure after the 3rd airs tonight, they will make that one available as well.

@justrelax  @BigEFly   Might be worth the view.   Might not.  🤷‍♂️

Didnt Horace Grant get enough exposure on the jordan documentary😉

Hmm.  Feels like we've finally cut the cord.  Floating out in the ether. Anger at the faceless dismissal and marginalization of it's own fans by PE.com. But extreme gratitude for guys l

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

I strongly suspect the NFLPA and the league are discussing plans for June mini camps right now.

Keep in mind the stat being used here. PBWR is an ESPN stat that measures if the O-linemen can hold his block for 2.5 seconds. If he can't hold it for 2.5 seconds, the rusher gets the win. If he holds the block for more than 2.5, the O-linemen gets the win. This is also measured by chips in the pads, not guys watching film. Basically what i'm getting at is I think the stat needs a little more context. What if the play is a screen pass? The linemen doesn't need to hold his block for 2.5 seconds. They need to initially block, disengage and then move on. What if the play is a bootleg? Some of the guys then don't need to hold a block for 2.5 seconds either. In both scenarios the O-linemen get credited for a loss, despite doing exactly what they should be doing.

Any competent analyst should be using a filter based on play type, even if you are playing spread sheet scout.

The real benefit of analytics, kind of like the combine, is using it to confirm things you are seeing on tape and as a basis to reassess players when the analytics and traditional scouting reports don't match up. For instance, if an OL is holding his block for 2.8 seconds but being driven straight back into the QB from a bull rush, it's a lot different than stoning a guy cold at the LOS. I know soccer uses these chips to track player movements and vectors.  Now THAT would be interesting... I'd love to see "movement" incorporated into this kind of stat.

I agree and a black border around the numbers. Other than that I like it.

I'm still wondering where it came from.  It looks semi legit from a Nike marketing angle.

Guess that means no media coverage. That sucks.

I don't think that the media are considered "fans". With media there only there will be plenty of space for social distancing .

I have watched almost all of it. It's well worth a watch.

I heard it was pretty good. My favorite civil war participant was Sherman. I just love the march to the sea, f the south lol.

I too admire Sherman. For all the Southern howling about the march to the sea, it was remarkably bloodless.

Lincoln was the era's greatest wordsmith but Sherman's letter to the mayor of Atlanta is an extraordinary piece of writing.

Wonder what they offered. It'd be fitting if he had to take a reduced salary to play somewhere else

I assumed they would be considered spectators. We’ll see. Even in a normal offseason like last year they only had 4 OTA practices open to the media. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if they just closed it all with everything going on.

That would be the smart thing to do.

But the NFL might mandate they be there so NFLN has something to show other than old SBs.

That said, as BigE mentioned, there are probably huge discussions going on right now behind closed doors between the league, the teams and players about what exactly the new summer calendar of events will look like.  I highly doubt we see the traditional 3-4 day mini-camps with huge breaks in between setup as in past years.

Good guy JJ.

I found it interesting that Tra Thomas criticized Stoutland's pass protection, particularly in regarding to protecting against stunts. Thomas coached as an intern behind Stoutland.

And then the Eagles chose to not keep him around... Seems he and Stoutland see things differently, and the Eagles prefer Stoutland's eye and methods.

We'll see what happens. I'm kind of expecting them to just micro-manage every little thing. I know they are hurting for content right now but I would think their goal would be to have the season go on with or without fans at all costs. Limit as much as you can to limit the possibility of an outbreak among the players. Canceling games or weeks would be their biggest hit in revenue, so protect that as much as you can.
