On the other hand, 47 percent of people find it decent to protest during the anthem. How do you determine common decency?

Hmm.  Feels like we've finally cut the cord.  Floating out in the ether. Anger at the faceless dismissal and marginalization of it's own fans by PE.com. But extreme gratitude for guys l

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

No.  Its because they are extremists.  I respect different views.  Just not extremist views. There's wack jobs on thre extremes of both sides.

I’d say a serious lack of respect sparked this peaceful protest...

May see them do what Belichick has done.  Put Slay on their #2 and then double their #1.

Also an option too.

I was just trying to understand what this D is going to look like.

Watch Schwartz not have Slay shadow since he's stubborn to really make it interesting.

😅

When Floyd resisted arrest? Yes...

And then from ther officers who overreacted and stayed on him too long. Yes...

Been trying to figure out why, or if, we may bring in another CB?

I'm thinking since Slay primarily shadows the #1 they're thinking is that it's better to have guys used to flipping sides a lot, hence the wealth of nickel slot guys as they typically play both sides.

So unless that does not go well this year I don't see them bringing anyone in unless there is a really surprising cut.

Plus with the limited money we have in trying to roll over to next year there isn't a whole lot we can do.

The Alshon contract is really killing us.

Howie's biggest booboo of his career this far.

Slays tackling scares me. Asante Samuel wasnt known a tackler but he at least gave effort.

i just hope they dont sacrifice tackling for improved coverage.

The coverage is needed and should be prioritized but not to the point where it becomes detrimental to the defense.

We’re talking about Kaepernick and kneeling during the anthem...

And the double standard didn't exist back then. Unfortunately you're posting in 2020.

What double standard is that?

Honestly hadn't looked at Slays tackling really.

Is he that bad?

So why not call out the right wing " whack jobs" in your comments instead of just the liberal " whack jobs" that lacks of common decency😉

I couldn't find many highlights of Slay allowing the catch to be tackled 😄😄

Can I have some examples of these extremist views?

Yup. There was an article on it a couple days ago when football used to be talked about😄

He has a high missed tackle rate  and had a total of 7 tackles in the run game. 2 were by sliding qbs and a couple other were guys running out of bounds with him the closest man.

The year before he had 9 uggg.

There were multiple clips on the article of him whiffing on tackles or not trying to make them, not fighting off blocks or just avoiding contact all together or casually jogging towards contact waiting for someone else to make a tackle.

I get its not a corners number one priority to provide run support but pass coverage but still im not sure whats worse his technique or lack of or effort or lack of.

I hope it doesnt turn around to bite him cuz  eagles fans arent going to put up with it unless he can make up for it by being a shut down cover corner

hell yes. I would hate to see anyone kneel during the anthem.

And you compared apples to oranges. How about this. Brees is intitled to his opinion. And Kaepernick is entitled to his opinion. Neither should ever knee for the anthem. Same standards for everyone.

Hell, I guess thatd be too rational and not accusatory of racism so we cant have it that easy. We need to try to paint people in to a corner and be divisive.

So long as they're your standards, it would seem. They are not mine.

Even more curious is there even any evidence that there was an actual counterfeit bill or is this just another case of sandwich shop Karen calling the police on  a guy for buying a sandwich while black???

I've been seeing that it was a real bill

I think they are trying to give Jones one last year. Hoping that the new DB coach can get something that made people think he was a 1st round pick before his injury

That's because all liberals are whack jobs. It's a redundancy.

I also think we better define "common," so that all can agree as to what the word means.

Actually were just getting started.

While he isn't the one that called the cops, the store owner is black, so that would be weird. I find it odd cops were even called in the first place. I've had tried to unknowingly use counterfeit $20s a few times, even at banks. Worst thing that happened was I lost out on $20. But I understand that is potentially white privilege and part of the problem.

This is kind of my field. Didn’t happen...  I’m not going to comment over you on medicine, but it’s worth pointing out there is no evidence of this and no justifiable use of that force.

He actually wasn't being arrested for "check forgery".  Maybe that's the technical term but he was arrested for attempting to pay with a counterfeit $20 bill.   There's a big difference, imo, between writing a bad/forged check (That you know is bad)  than there is paying with a $20 bill (that you may not even know is counterfeit).

Do you pay that close attention to the cash in your wallet?  I wouldn't know if I was passing a counterfeit $20 unless it was blatantly obvious it was counterfeit.   That's one of the more disturbing facts about his death - he may have not even known that he was passing a counterfeit bill.

Different than what I read in the mainstream press.  Both can get you taken into custody.  Don’t agree zip ties or restraints are necessary if what you say is accurate. I also think any person being taken into custody has the right to be told why first.

From 2 pages per day to dbl digits, what could have caused that,?

I think its more useful to attempt to understand the root causes of looting and rioting instead of labeling people as such.

Why?  The root cause to looting is to steal.   Even if it is to feed your starving child you are taking someone else’s property.  The root cause of arson is burning property.  Even if you are expressing rage over the reason for the protests.  Doesn’t make it lawful or right.

An honest question to those posters more knowledgeable than I:

What immediate policy changes could be made to help diffuse the situation?
