Hamler would be an instant upgrade to this offense. There’s no debating that in the slightest. His only slight negative is he doesn’t have a ton of reps from the outside. Not worried about his hands.

Even in 2017 the only negative I could say about this offense is they didn’t have that one player who could take a screen pass, end around, or basically any Route/play, beat a guy or two, and take it to the house. Torrey Smith was a one trick pony. Desean Jackson doesn’t have the RAC ability he had on his younger days.

17% drop rate. No way at pick 21. Trade back late 1st if they really like him. I prefer 2nd.

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

We got DJax in Rd. 2.  Hamler should go in the same area.  Would love to have him with our 2nd rounder.

Hell no in the 1st.

Ok so if Jackson went in round 1 you wouldn’t have liked it? Even in hindsight? Jackson came in and was as valuable or even more so than Westbrook right off the bat.

Trevor Laws was their first pick that year, but still round 2.

I liked Devin Thomas out of MSU in that draft. Couldn't have been more wrong.

I’d like to know what’s considered a drop. No, he won’t win many jump ball opportunities even if it hits him in the hands. I watch just about every PSU game and I remember Sanders having a bigger issue with ball security than Hamler did with drops.

The dude is going to get open down the field and get tons of RAC yardage.

I think Limas Sweed was in that draft too.

I've never had that problem.

As for your preferences, we could bend an elbow together.  I went through my preferences a while ago.  I like malty, dark and a good feel.  My favorites are always the Scottish ales, but had a bourbon barrel aged ale (Lexington Brewing puts it out), which is an Irish style red that's aged in a Bourbon barrel for 6 weeks... and that might actually be my all-time favorite.  Gotta watch it though... over 8% APV.  So, it's a little higher than your standard hefeweizen.

Sounds good. I have a bourbon barrel Cabernet Sauvignon that gets opened and drunk the day my son gets off his a** and asks his girlfriend of almost a decade to marry him. She likes red wine.  My boy May well like that Lexington ale.  I have to look for it.

What would the Jets want in a trade up to 11?

Guessing you're starting at next years first?

Jackson was obviously a great pick.  He'd have been worth the pick high into round 1.

But the fact that they drafted Trevor Laws ahead of Desean shows that AR still had no idea what he might have in Desean.

I'm going to speculate here...Desean was really the first WR that AR drafted as a hit.  He drafted Trevor FREAKING Laws first.  AR had NO CLUE how to draft WRs.  Desean was drafted immediately following the Greg Lewis/Reno Mahe punt returner fiasco when AR was embarrassed for not putting a punt returner on the roster.  I think AR *reached* for Desean in round 2 because of his punt return ability and had modest expectations for him as a WR.  He got lucky.  When he was a surprise rookie smash hit, AR never looked back.  He traded up for Maclin in round 1 the following year, who was compared to Jackson in college.  He drafted Ty Hill, Chris Conley, Mecole Hardman, signed Watkins...all a common theme here.

Under any circumstances, I would only trade a 1st round pick in an upcoming draft to trade up for a franchise QB or a DE in the Peppers/Mario Williams/Garrett echelon or a WR at the level of Julio/Megatron/Andre Johnson.  We don't need a franchise QB and this draft doesn't have a DE or WR near that level.

With our cap and no first round pick in 2021, we would have zero ability to address any needs in the coming offseason.

Of course...

Final prediction:

The Eagles trade pick 21 to the Ravens for picks 28 and 92.

With the 28th pick the Eagles take Denzel Mims.

I agree... but disagree.

The exception for me is LT not WR.  The Antone Davis scar is still there, but you NEVER trade up for a RTO.  Only a stud LT.

Well, if you look here... the cost of 11 is 1250.  21 is 800.

Our 2nd is 370.

If I’m the raiders I’d likely make that move for 19. Not sure about 12. But they Have cap space (going forward) And they aren’t going to get a pass rusher as good as ngakoue in this draft at 19 not likely an impact player like he can be over the next 6-7 years since he’s 25

Who are you looking at for 11?  I think such trade needs a specific target.

Raiders lol

The Slay acquisition was the smarter move for the Eagles.  There was always going to be a higher bidder with more cap room for Ngakoue, unfortunately.

Random thoughts:

I don’t want Mims (in first) or Claypool (at all) as far as WRs go.

In mid to later rounds I like Amik Robertson and Bryce Hall. Also fond of Antonio Gibson.

If Jags get #19 they should take it and run.  BTW do they need a WR?  I'm assuming yes but not sure.

They actually have quite good WRs.

Idk if I would rather the Eagles get one of the top 3 WR or trade down and get Reagor and an extra 3rd (plus maybe more).

It looks like the first televised sporting event is going to be a golf match between Tiger/Brady and Phil/Peyton for COVID relief.  I actually like Tiger, but it's easy to ID the fan favorite pair in that matchup.

Not thrilled with mims in the first but I’m with you on claypool. I think he’s one of the guys likely to bust. people love him cause of his combine numbers were ridiculously good. To me when i watched Notre dame i never saw him and thought man that guy is awesome and i want him. I frankly think there’s a chance at some point in his career some team moves Him to tight end. I think he’s a hell of a red zone target though

Not really. They are a team that can wait to see whose there in round 2/3
