Not the ideal outcome imo either.

I'd be stunned if the Eagles went Aiyuk in round 1. If for nothing else, going back to that PAC 12 route again that has failed them so many times sans Ertz.

Anyway, I don't think it's as much avoiding the PAC 12 as it is targeting SEC players. If you want to pick talent, pick from the best conference. When's the last time the Eagles got a player from Alabama which churns out elite players every year? Undrafted Damion Square?

It's a point Ike Reese likes to make alot (re: SEC).

Tho I'm pretty sure in every single draft the last 2 decades or so, the Eagles have either passed or just missed on a player I desperately wanted from Bama.

It would be nice if Goodell could move it up a little earlier for me. Think Ill send him an email asking for that.

I remember the 2007 first round dragged on for effing ever! It was a year or two later they cut the first round down to 10 minutes and the 2nd round to 7. One of the best decisions the league made.

Or the SEC in general. They either don't get anyone or they get players from weaker schools like Vanderbilt (matthews) or pick late round talent from the big schools (Jaylen watkins). Never drafting the high end prospects from those schools except for Cox.

Yeah better avoid those PAC-12 players like Desean, Ertz, and Foles.
