Hmm.  Feels like we've finally cut the cord.  Floating out in the ether. Anger at the faceless dismissal and marginalization of it's own fans by PE.com. But extreme gratitude for guys l

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

It was nice catching up on the blog today.  The first post I read this morning was someone telling justrelax to "lick his taint."  😂😂  I'm not sure why, but that made me laugh my arse off for about 5 minutes bc it was so out of left field.  As for the rest of the reading material:

People have gone completely stupid with this.

Correct.

And now in August ~2880 athletes (plus coaching staffs, facility staffs, etc) will filter in to 32 locations from all over the country to train and play in close proximity.

Btw, that's why there was never going to be any camps until August.  To lead right into the season.  It won't be a quarantine situation, but by week 2-3, they will realize they have to be pretty darn close to it.  Limited family leave, curfews, etc.

The reality is once things start, every single week, every day really, the league will have to stay on top of testing in order to watch for outbreaks.  And that goes for each of the other sports as well...

Here's some football to fight about instead:

Tim McManus picked for the Eagles and took:

Round 1 (21): Baker Mayfield, QB
Round 2 (44): Chase Young, DE
Round 3 (85): Lane Johnson, OT
Round 4 (108): A.J. Brown, WR

Mayfield is the last young QB I’d want. I’d take Foles, Darnold, or Stafford over him in a second.

You know I see police in my community/neighborhood maybe once every 2 months.  It's a quiet, respectful, peaceful, everyone minds their own business.  Mostly white but you see black neighbors, families throughout.

Why cant other communities be like this?  Everybody has a "choice" to act or behave a certain way.  If some of these communities where police have a heavier presence maybe were more peaceful, respectful, looked out for one another, then they wouldn't need police around all the time.

And maybe if everyone stopped driving drunk, we wouldn't have any drunk drivers.

There are police.   There is a need for a criminal justice system.  This system must be set up in a manner that is consistent with our values and rights.   The onus of behaving respectfully and peacefully must be on the person enforcing the law.

Ever notice the amount of liquor and gun stores in black communities as opposed to white communities?

Its almost as if there is a purpose behind it😕

I just watched this.

I really liked hargrave coming out of college as well.

I think next to Cox he and Hargrave can be an explosive duo Much like Jernigan was in 2017 when healthy.

Cox hasnt consistently had a lot of interior help next to him due to injury mostly so i was glad to see day one the eagles addressed this.

Talking Eagles football makes me so happy.

If there is no major uptick then I think you have to take restrictions away.  Stay smart for a bit but allow us to have our events, concerts, games and such.  No more emergency order in place.  If there is no uptick and Wolf makes no changes then we'll know 100% that this is all a political ploy for him.

I'm really not having the new normal speak that Wolf and Levine have incorporated in to the reopening phases.  I get there was a temporary normal but to continue until a vaccine is just not feasible.

New Zealand ending all Covid restrictions today as there were no new recorded Covid cases.

Where as here in kansas where i am we had the highest number of recorded new cases.

We need to do better from top to bottom.

What a stupid idea.

Hargrave is a nice addition to DT position.  The DT position is now loaded and deep to the 4th/5th guy.  The hard push in the middle should also help the DEs to make plays.

**** people exist in our society. We don’t have a choice in that. We can choose who we employ as police officers.

I think it's really about training more than the "quality" of the person.  There's also too much blame on the officers who, when equipped with tear gas and rubber bullets, use those in an effort to carry out what they think they need to do and too little blame on the people in charge.

I lived in England  for 4 years. I never could find the Castle Anthrax.

God knows I tried.

There is a good reason for that. Castle Anthrax is in Scotland... 😉

I watched the Meaning of Life without the Terry Gilliam mini movie at the beginning by chance, and it's a really good and tight bit of comedy.  The TG stuff slightly lets it down as it's so different and too long.

As for the Life of Brian, it wouldn't get made today, too many people would be offended or offended on the behalf of others.

As for Hargrave, has he officially signed on and passed the medical yet?  Could that be the reason for the no show

So the Eagles are gonna practice with people getting after each other in the trenches, face to face only separated my the mask on their helmets then they go into the locker room and have to stay 6' apart?

That's what's stupid

Makes sense. We vacationed in Scotland one summer. Way too much to explore for one trip.

And there are enough Castles where you've seen one, you've seen them all.  From memory, Castle Anthraz was a private castle as the National Trust (a charity over here) pulled another castle from being used at the last minute.

Michael must have been hanging out with Bobby this offseason.

I get that teams bring in famous athletes to pump up the team and give inspirational speeches.  Eagles have done it with Kobe and Phil Jackson.  But Shaq?  Guy is hilarious but I think maybe a team could aim maybe a smidge higher than the dude doing Goldbond and The General Insurance commercials and who once wrote a rap asking his teammate "how my a** taste?" when it comes to life advice and how to unfify as a team.
