That narrative is phony

Democratic socialism is what they call a nation that has a small, ethnically uniform population where capitalism funds their entitlement programs (more by the day)

entitlement programs is a moniker coined by capitalists to shame the working class for claiming what is rightfully theirs.

If Americans could see the amount of their taxes on paychecks that go towards military bombs tanks jets big boats war,  corporate subsidies, funding israel, enhancing the rich vs "entitlement"programs theyd crap a brick and throw it through a corporation while protesting...😒

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Well you had a significant portion of students and faculty objecting so the compromised so Ivan’s still got the opportunity to offer a speech and people that wanted to hear here could. I have no issue with compromise.

Me neither. I have a problem with her invoking her 1st amendment rights and playing the victim. Its disingenuous.

I would like to know from the libs why it’s okay to protest by the thousands side by side in the streets for two weeks  but opening a barber shop for business or going to work period is criminal?

I see it as a First Amendment issue so I’m not inclined to compromise.

I'd say not. There are quite a few anarchists who I separate from libs.

If Reagor caught them, delightful.  If he dropped them I’m incensed, I guess ....

I too heard Scalia speak, at Penn IIRC. He was funny, acerbic, and as you say, unwavering and thoughtful. I had a chance to ask him a question and asked if he had read Jack Rakove's Original Meanings. He said he had and that it got most of the way there. He said that what originalists have most of that others don't is trust. Trust in the founders. He mentioned Odysseus lashing himself to the mast so he could here the song of the sirens. If you are not tied to your principles you can be swayed by every sweet song you hear and drawn to your doom. I would say that 70% of the audience was not sympathetic to him at the start but he had us eating out of his hand within a few minutes. I can't say that he converted me but he gave me much food for thought. He too was a siren singing a sweet song.

He was a very talented writer and speaker. Both of your experiences are enviable.

i wonder if he was wearing a mask over his helmet or under.

Not to worry in all cases. It has been categorically established that Agholor couldn't catch the virus.

Agholor cant catch babies, babies cant catch virus, Solidarity at last😷

I'm a ruthless, call it radical, supporter of capitalism.  I'll entertain notions left, right, or center on any other issue.  But stay out of the free markets and keep my taxes low.

Despite my "radicalism," am I inherently right in this?  Heck no.  This is no utopia.  Aside from those stale old economists you can quote against capitalism...let's go older school than that.  I'm a Christian.  The Bible isn't exactly a ringing endorsement of capitalism.  I don't think being selfish, ruthless, keeping all your money, and ignoring the less fortunate is any way to go through life.  But that's a personal decision.  Just as we have the separation of Church and State, I support a (at least a little) separation of economy from intense morality.  It's an individual's decision on how to be (or not to be) generous with their money.

I cannot fathom living in a country in which I did not agree with their economic system, unless I was detained there by force.  Either you benefit from capitalism, won't acknowledge it, and hypocritically campaign for something else to assuage your conscience...or you like it...or you should get out.  There are people dying daily trying to get in here to be a part of this economy; it's not hard at all to leave.

We may not be #1 in average literacy, average math, "happiness scales," vacation time, or any number of other metrics, but we do represent the best possible opportunity at the top end for nearly every single high-end career path under the sun.  The US is the stockpile of the world's intellectual capital, in large part due to this economy.

Funny, when the Eagles drafted Agholor I was okay with the pick at first because I was hopeful he’d be useful on PR.  He ended his Eagles career with 7 punt return yards, and I’m surprised I read he had that many.  My recollection was that he wanted nothing to do with it other than catching the punt.

I differ with some others on here in that I do want Reagor to be used as the primary PR.  I don’t have expectations that he’ll be an 80 catch/1,300 yard guy, but I would expect he can and will contribute on ST when needed.

Yup. If you're going to be rich, be rich in the United States.

The problem is that there are less and less rich people. Those who are well off are better off, but there are fewer of them. That's not sustainable over the long-term.

I did the same yesterday when I was trying to find the defensive tackles on the roster.  First off, I took it off my favorites bar so i had to search for it.  Funny, there was no content on the site I eve felt remotely interested in reading.

I never go to the site anymore.  There is nothing worth engaging with and not I can't get more quickly elsewhere.  The old Eagles Live used to draw me in, for better or worse!
