9.      Burrow

18.  Tua (yes)

It'll never happen but if Eagles draft one of those guys, what are you trading Wentz for?

PS i'd rather have Wentz than Tua, and Burrow has no shot of falling past #1

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

I think we're top 5 in cap space ... $25-$27 million

Total Confessions time:

  1.  Which player that the Eagles took were you MOST disappointed in and were RIGHT?
  2.  Which player did you ABSOLUTELY think the Eagles HAD TO GET, they didn't and he turned out to be a complete BUST?
  3. Which player were you disappointed the Eagles took and were WRONG?

1. Broderick Bunkley - I didn't hate the pick but I hated the pick when they could have taken Chad Greenway.  Ultimately, Bunkley wasn't a true bust but was never more than an OK starter.

2. Gabe Carimi - Still he may have been better than Danny Watkins.  Runner up might be Dion Jordan although he went the pick before Lane.

3. I'm going with Brandon Graham.  Mostly because I was sure the pick should have been Earl Thomas.

Let the insanity begin....

He'll forever be a B for his style of play

I'll never forget him double teaming Adam Freaking Burt AND then when Luke Richardson came in Domi literally ran from him

Domi was and is a complete tool.

He ran away from both Berube and McCarthy shortly before jumping Adam Burt -- some tough guy.  He had a thick skull and could take a lot of punishment from bigger guys, but I never saw him actually beat anyone elite.

For me:

1. Trevor Laws - waited throughout the entire first round... only to have them grab Trevor Laws with their first pick that year.  (I really wanted Eddie Royal, but we did get Desean Jackson two picks later).

2.  I thought Justin Blackmon was going to be an absolute stud.  Wow, that didn't turn out well, glad the Eagles didn't make that mistake.

3.  I didn't get the Shawn Andrews pick at the time.  It turned out well, until his back and his head went out.

Sounds like a nightmare to me.

1. Danny Watkins. Easy, I know.

2. Corey Davis. I blame @Don Corleone on that one.

3. Was going to say Brandon Graham but that's too easy. I'll say it, DeSean Jackson. I thought he was going to be a wasted pick based on his measurements.

Very True

2nd fight with Bob Probert was awesome.  Domi thought he won the 1st fight (draw at best) and then Probert destroyed him.

This was back when there was an unofficial heavy weight championship for Enforces/Fighters

I quit watching hockey to a large extent in about '97, but during my time as an NHL fan the best in that era IMO:

1973 - 1979    Dave Schultz

1980 - 1983   Clark Gillies

1983 - 1988   Behn Wilson

1989 - 1995   Bob Probert

It is not this year, it is next year that really impacts this.  Have to look at the future.

ooooh, I hated this pick at the time

2.  Which player did you ABSOLUTELY think the Eagles HAD TO GET, they didn't and he turned out to be a complete BUST?

I want to change my answer to Matt Jones. PLEASE. I thought he was going to be the ultimate weapon.

Last day to put up mock drafts, make sure to tag @4for4EaglesNest for an official mock draft grade.

1. So far it was Sidney Jones, you can double check me in the old boards IWTETG thread for him. I was very against him, his film against juju in college and other no name larger WRs was very concerning to me. I thought in the 2nd round we got better value on him, and the achilles most certainly could be a factor.

2. Homer bias aside. Matt Elam former Florida gator, 1st round pick of Ravens. We needed some safety help and he could do it all in college, huge hitter and rangy in coverage. To this day im not entirely sure why he couldn't do it in the nfl. We didn't do much better in adding a safety that year as we took Wolff and Poyer (who obviously we should have kept)

3. Honestly it was Shady, 5'11 and closer to 190 lbs playing weight at Pitt. Just thought he was too small and added weight would kill his speed. Came in at the combine at 198 and then played closer to 210 here and didn't lose a step. I was very wrong. I was sadly in the Beanie Wells camp that year...ah young and naive Gator 12.

4. I'm adding a player i was absolutely stoked the eagles got and was wrong about: Macho Harris, monster at Va Tech, His one year here was decent at best and i thought he would continue to grow. Gone after a year and basically out of the league. Honorable Mention: Casey Matthews

I think the teams are going to stay mum today...all the noise will be coming from agents...

Jeudy apparently has a chronic knee issue.

A sleeper imo , is Cephus , I think he can be a stud.

Tony Twist,  him and Joey Kocur , two of the hardest punchers, ever.

I don't miss Andy's cavalcade of third round misses.  Te'O, Bryan Smith, Tony Hunt, Ryan Moats, Billy McMullin.

I'll throw second rounder Matt McCoy in as well.

When I used to live out in Phoenix, I went to a draft party at a friends house and we watched from out in the back patio. It was the ‘07 draft and the player I wanted us to draft most was Paul Posluszny.

I think we had the 26th pick that year, so I’m just watching and drinking beers. By the time our pick rolled around I had probably 8 beers in me and it was getting close to 100 degrees outside. Posluszny is still on the board and I’m thinking we’re going to get him. NOPE! Trade back with Dallas of all teams.

So I’m pissed, a little drunk, and I a lot of hot/sunburnt. I keep drinking, get more drunk, more sunburned, and more dehydrated. Second round starts and Posluszny is still available so I start to feel optimistic again. But the Bills draft him 2 picks a head of us. So I’m pissed again, and I’m thinking the Birds better make a really good pick here. NOPE! Kevin Kolb. I lost it, worst draft experience of my life.

At least they ended up getting a good pick back for Kolb from Arizona a few years later but yeah that sucks.

I just don't get it with Lynn Bowden - not that he can't play, he's definitely got some juice but I hate positionless players; they almost never work out.
