Peters LG, Seumalo RG. Hasnt Seumalo played both sides?

He has played RT.  I don't think he's played RG in the NFL.   At college he played 4 of the 5 positions... ironically, I believe it was LG that he never played at Oregon State.

Hmm.  Feels like we've finally cut the cord.  Floating out in the ether. Anger at the faceless dismissal and marginalization of it's own fans by PE.com. But extreme gratitude for guys l

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Zangaro gave some decent options if they go free agent route with peters, warford and Kyle long and Ron Leary. Not great but they have some options.

Kyle Long is an interesting name.  Family connection.   If Chris Long isn't upset about how he was kind of pushed out at the end, Long would be my go to here.  He's a guy that can really fill that gap.

Yeah that was my thinking is if Chris would or wouldn’t push him here. I know coach and players he definitely would cause he loved the guys. FO idk with how it all ended.

just wanna say its totally possible for a december return and certainly for playoffs in january. im not sure season ending is accurate. may be just speculation.

I think thats just the knee jerk when you hear Achilles.  My guess is PUP list and they will cross the bridge of IR/activation when they have to, and not a moment sooner.

Not only that don’t want to move seumalo to RG and he isn’t as good. Now you are messing with 2 positions that get weaker especially if peters winds up not being better than seumalo at right guard (not saying he would but there’s a chance peters struggles at first at LG or RG as he’s never really played there long term)

Yup i thought that too especially when he basically unprovoked said something about learning to play center when he was drafted

He's not the strongest guy in the draft, but he sure was one of the most athletic (amongst OL).  He seems like a heavier version of Kelce.  In this case, he likely could slim down a bit (or more exactly - tone up a bit) and be just what they look for in a C.  A guy who can be a true weapon as a C.

Thank you.   I believe that's exactly what happened with Demeco Ryans and then later with Jordan Hicks.   I think that makes it almost a foregone conclusion that Sidney Jones is bound to blow out his other Achilles at some point.

Don't you put that evil on him! - Dont you put that evil on me ...

He's already put it on himself.  He was lifting weights with an empty bar, out of fear of injury.

Yup that’s how i viewed it. Plus he has a year or two before kelce retires to learn the position and get some nice help from kelce. To me he’d be a very athletic center and could give you some similarities to kelce once he learns the position and kelce retires. Plus i think the eagles like seumalo at LG and might not want to mess with changing him to C after he has improved as much as he has at LG

Given Stoutland, there is some truth to this.

Yup.   The plan might have been to move Lane Johnson to LT at one point... but now there's no reason to upset that apple cart.  And the plan might have been to move Seumalo to C, but he's settled in so nicely at LG, leave him there and find a new solution at C.

I’m not messing around. Warford is the dude. Still youngish at 29 and three straight pro bowls. Has played RG extensively.

Seems like a no-brainer.

It's a fair question.  But, if Kyle Long agrees to come here, I'd sign him in a heartbeat.   You are down an OL and the OFFSEASON hasn't even begun yet.   If you start dipping into depth in JUNE(!!!!) what do you do when the inevitable injuries start in October, November and December.   Football is a sport of attrition and the Eagles know it.   Bring in a piece now while you can.  Get them acclimated to the system NOW, and then you won't be scrambling later.

If you have 8 OL you really trust to play... and you lose one in June, now you are down to 7.  If you lose 2 during the season, now you are down to 5... and if its the wrong 5, you are in big trouble.

What's the price tag?  And why is he still available?

The problem is he wants a lot of money based off reports. I’m guessing the Eagles probably don’t want to pay him what he thinks he’s worth which will Cut into the role over going into 2020. I get he would be the best guy but I just don’t see the Eagles paying him why he’s believed to be asking. Maybe his price comes down and they get him. He’d be on just talent and performance The best

A 6 months return is extremely aggressive.

It would take the Eagles being in playoff contention, Brooks having a perfect recovery and possibly a delay to the season (Covid-19).

It's possible with everything on normal schedule.

Yup. We already don't have a ton of cap room before a shrinking 2021 cap...and Warford will have leverage.

Yeah.  If in playoff contention he should be able to play.  If not,  no point really.

That's what I figured.  He can't come cheap given his history, and at his age, this is likely his last chance to hit big.   Sure, he could sign a 'prove-it' deal here, but having 3 straight Pro Bowls... what more is there to prove?   I doubt the Eagles can afford him.  They are up against the cap hard for 2021... and there's no way they can afford the big deal for Brooks AND Warford... AND Johnson AND Cox AND...  you get the point.

Warlord supposedly asking for $7M a year. No one seems to be interested at that price.

Not eagles related always good when owners says baseball isn’t very profitable

That's not that high, really.   At $7M/year, I'd do it.  But, he'll want extra years.  That might be tricky.

It's true.  They pay WAY too much money to their top stars.  How is a baseball player, any baseball player worth $30M per year?

Probably wants some security with more than just 1 year too
