Hmm.  Feels like we've finally cut the cord.  Floating out in the ether. Anger at the faceless dismissal and marginalization of it's own fans by PE.com. But extreme gratitude for guys l

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Yeah they basically cater to the president at every chance.

For a while their White House reporter was getting first question at conferences and throwing up layup questions worded in a way to flatter him. Been away from the news for a bit, don't know if that stuff is still happening.

Probably. I remember their reporter throwing up a question about abortion during one of the pandemic briefings.

Sounds like JJAW as the X at the beginning of the year?

I suppose DJax could line up all over, giving Reagor plenty of snaps at the Z.

My issue with just promoting Pryor is much less about Pryor and much more about the overall depth along the OL.  Moving Pryor into the starting lineup means that your #6 OL is no longer the #6 OL.  He's now #5.  And #7 moves up to #6, #8 to #7, etc.   Its going to be a long season, even if it's abbreviated.   They will likely need OL #6 and #7 to play, possibly even #8.  And if #8 is really #9... that's dangerous.

that was my thinking - when you go three wide, DeSean can move into the slot easily

Forgot about Herbig to be honest.

I laughed way to long at this

Or... Reagor as the Z in 3 WR sets with Desean at slot.  And Reagor on the sidelines in 12 personnel, at least in the beginning or rotating with DJax.

The X position being almost handed to JJAW from the sound of it is concerning.  UNLESS... the plan to move Ward there... or have Hightower and Watkins battle it out there as well.  And then, what of Goodwin?   He's not really an 'X'.   I think they are going to have to rethink the roles of X, Z, and slot.

That's the most cogent thing Booger has ever said.

I doubt we see tradition WR roles assigned to this group.

I think you are right, but Doug referencing them has me confused.  Or maybe its just coach speak and he doesn't want to reveal anything.   I really do expect some major wrinkles to the offense this year, I expected when they brought in the new blood from outside rather than just promoting a new OC from within (sorry, Duce).  And I expect it more so as they added virtually one note across the board at WR.  4 super speedy guys.  Almost all of them are either Z and/or slot.  Add that to Desean (Z/slot) and Ward (primarily a slot in terms of usage) and there's a massive log jam and only 1 healthy "X".  And he's a guy that scares everyone (within the Eagles' family, he scares no one across the league).

Yup, it's time to see what these guys have.  This is a strange year.  I don't think brining a vet in makes sense given so much unknown.  Let the young guys prove themselves.

Sign Jason Peters to play RG.

I've got high hopes for Matt Pryor.  He was the camp darling 2 years ago and was OK-not great when he had to step in last year.  Like the tweet shared last night, you can't keep investing in these young lineman then not give them a chance when it comes.  It SUCKS that Brooks is out again.  I feel so bad for him.  Let's see what Pryor brings to the table.  Clearly there are veteran guards available.  If Pryor can't perform then you turn to the street.

Let's see what the kids got.

Incidentally, I am still the only one who has signed.

No addendum, no signing. Just think of me as Madison.

Frankly, I don’t think we’ll have a season. My wife and I seem to be among the few who wear masks of late. Lotta predictions of a spike in the fall.

DJax also plays some slot.  But, yes, the Z.  My guess is Hightower and Watkins learn the X and Goodwin backs up Ward in the slot initially. The best start.

I thought the NFL decided there would be no more kneeling during the anthem.

It is not surprising to me that Americans are abandoning their masks, especially when they are presented images like the following:

That's EXACTLY what the media wants to you think and you fell right into the trap.  Trump/Pence with no mask=bad for the country spike expected.   They don't care about anyone else's health.  Don't you think that maybe, just maybe people that close to the president may have already been tested and are OK?  Have you noticed that members of the press have started to not wear masks during press conferences?

HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of people protesting, rioting and looting and not one peep about the virus.  They are praised for their protesting.  ENCOURAGED to protest.

Come on, this playbook is so easy to read anymore.  You know the media is chomping at the bit for the first Trump rally to say look at all these Conservatives who don't care about old people dying.

This whole post is laughable.

I really hope they are not relying on Alshon later in the season. But it is possible they think they can patch one side together enough until he comes back. Scary though IMO

You might laugh at it but all it takes is a few minutes to look at how things are portrayed.

Makes sense.  They can pretty much move DJax around when Reagor is at Z.  Having both of them on the field, in certain formations should give defenses fits.  I don’t see defenses using press when both are on the field, too risky.  (Assuming Reagor is what we think he is/will be).

As far as JJAW goes, I think it depends on what he looks like in camp and in the pre-season.  If he’s one of the guys that worked out with Wentz (supposedly), one would assume he’ll be at X and Wentz should be more comfortable with him.
