Hmm.  Feels like we've finally cut the cord.  Floating out in the ether. Anger at the faceless dismissal and marginalization of it's own fans by PE.com. But extreme gratitude for guys l

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Did anyone think Brooks was under a bad deal a week ago?

Well, obviously someone did. More prescient than I, I admit.

Brooks' cap is not an issue, because the Eagles planned for it for 2020/2021. In 2021, he'll be more than a year recovered from the achilles. If he's bad in 2021, he'll be cut/restructured for 2020.

It sucks to lose him, and we're clearly worse for it, but it doesn't affect the cap unless we panic and sign an expensive veteran to replace him.

Yikes, the amount of things they have to wear to track themselves is alarming.  Alarms to determine if they are social distancing or not, this ring.  How is this going to help however if someone is positive but has no symptoms?  It's safe to assume the majority who test positive never do show symptoms.

No. It’s a contract. In your unending desire to spread your gloom you are redefining it as an issue. The injury is unfortunate. Finding the right person to play RG is an issue.

Nah, you just associate objective thinking with whining.  You need food, water, and blissful ignorance.

I thought we had all agreed that there'd be no more half-nude dude pictures in the blog?

Every time he has bounced back he gets injured again.  He's great no doubt.  But if people want to question Carson Wentz being injury prone then we sure as heck need to ask the same thing about Brooks.  Do you want your best OG playing every other year?

I think having the first achilles tendon tear made him prone to a 2nd tear.  I don't think he has missed more than 2 regular season games due to injury.  So I don't think injury prone is a fair label outside of this injury.  I just think there's a real risk he doesn't recover to his prior form.

Imagine Dawk in that thing.

Someone should tell the Sixers it only takes 12 - 16 weeks to recover from a jones fracture.

This is the only ring the Sixers will get this year.

I think missing only two regular season games is by sheer luck due to the timing of the injuries. They just happened to occur in playoff losses.

This is some prediction.

Let’s say Alshon is PUP’d for six weeks and DJax plays 10 games. Seems like a decent bet since he said receivers and not pass catchers.

I guess he's talking about the WR position. I think that's not unlikely unless JJaw or Godwin really come on in camp.

He also made a really impressive recovery from the first injury.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, tells CNN’s Chief Medical Correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta, "Unless players are essentially in a bubble -- insulated from the community and they are tested nearly every day -- it would be very hard to see how football is able to be played this fall. If there is a second wave, which is certainly a possibility and which would be complicated by the predictable flu season, football may not happen this year.”

Now we are at DEFCON 1

Look...if people in the military making less in a year than most players make in one game can deploy for 6 months....players can be sequestered making millions. Heck, the league makes enough money that they could take their families with them as well. Even some young guy making league minimum would make more in those 6 months than most people make in 10 years. Suck it up.

South Florida, Bucs stadium, UCF, Gainesville, and Jacksonville are all a few hours away from each other. Just Orlando and Tampa should be enough to play the games though. 3 stadiums with 2 or 3 games a day Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Solved. There should be enough empty timeshare resorts to take care of all the teams.

Jamal Adams is a Pro Bowl safety and a leader on the Tyrann Mathieu level. He's the type of guy you might overpay to lead your team, but you can live with that. Maybe overpay Adams instead of overpaying Trumaine Johnson, George Fant, etc.

Just to keep him off the Cowboys is good enough for me.
