Good luck. There's still no vaccine for HIV 20 years later.

I went to the store yesterday. No one was wearing a mask and there's still only 1 case in my county.

So you do what's best for you and I will do the same.

How is not wearing a mask best for you? Serious question.

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Because I don't see the benefit. Eventually everyone is gonna be exposed. May as well get it over with.

This has turned into a social engineering project. You have to know there are a certain people in power who can't believe how easy it has been to make people completely upend their lives.

I'm never gonna change your mind and you're never gonna change mind so we might as well drop it.

The fact that you won’t allow it to be possible for someone to change your mind about wearing a mask during a pandemic is a huge problem. Wearing a mask won’t upend your life. At worst it’s a minor inconvenience. Even if you’re right and it’s inevitable (I certainly don’t believe that is the case), what’s the harm n listening to the experts and wear a mask?

Our starting safety's are Rodney McLeod opposite Will Parks/Jalen Mills/Rudy Ford.

I haven't seen anything about what spot they want to start K'Von Wallace at (my pref would be to have him take over McLeod's job).

Making the contracts fit would be a tough job.

And yet...

Rodney McCloud should not get in the way of adding a guy like Adams.  Adams with Wallace as he grows could be a darn good safety tandem.  MIlls/Parks as the 3rd swing safety.  My goodness.

Please please no Dallas or Seattle.

Adams isn’t a single high safety. Last year he played 297 snaps at FS (not sure how many would be single high), 401 snaps in the box, 131 in the slot, 34 at outside corner. He lined up as an edge rusher 96 times.

He’s Jenkins on steroids.

You do know 120K people died in less than 6 months from this virus? And that’s just confirmed cases. This isn’t manipulation at work, it’s a pandemic.

Malcolm Jenkins was just on CNN saying he's still "skeptical" the season will occur.  Mostly because we're all in wait and see mode.

I think the next 30 - 40 days are going to be key.  Because I haven't seen anybody talk about pushing the training camp dates back into Sept.

If things get better in states like Florida, Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, Oregon, the Dakotas in that time frame...  I think there could be a chance.  If not, the NFL can't justify starting everything up in the middle of increasing outbreaks and people sick and dying.

Life changing money is the best explanation, but it’s even more mind boggling that the Jets saw Gase up close and still hired him.

Yeah, made no sense that Douglas would take that job. But, hey, maybe he wanted to strike while the iron was hot. One bad Eagles season would've set Douglas back multiple years.

Also, Kist and Solak are big-time weirdos. And not the endearing kind.

I read an interview with Flyers’ Sean Couturier. He says his biggest concern with the upcoming NHL restart is going into Game 6 or 7 of a playoff series  — and 4-5 of your teammates test positive for COVID-19 and aren’t allowed to play with the season on the line.  Hockey players are famous for suiting up and playing in playoffs, no matter what the injury.

It’s actually quite likely to happen in the NHL playoffs this year.  It’s normally a war of attrition with four best-of-seven series anyway.

Yeah, Adams is a Polomalu/Reed/Dawkins caliber player who figures to have about 8-10 years of stellar play in front of him. A player like that is absolutely worth a first round pick. Without question.

I was meaning to ask you...

I got sucked into the LII rabbit hole on YouTube and watched the pregame intros for the NFC title game vs Minnesota. I had heard from a few folks that it was the most electric the Linc ever was, pregame-wise. Was that true in your opinion? I kinda wonder how it was before 44-6 when everything broke the Eagles way during the early games.

Without question, the most electric pregame was the 44-6 Cowboys game. It's not even close. Just about everyone went to the stadium that day assuming the game was going to mean nothing. When things started breaking right, the energy started developing until it reached a fever pitch just before gametime. I stayed down in the lower level concourse watching the Bucs/Bears/Vikings games until their conclusion. Charging upstairs for kickoff was unbelievably exhilarating.

I wouldn't be surprised if the tailgate energy prior to the Vikings championship game was higher. But that's because the stakes were already known. The out-of-the-blue element for the Cowboys game is what took it to the next level. Incidentally, there were more people strolling around the parking lot prior to that Vikings game than I have ever seen at any Eagles game ever. There were thousands and thousands of people there for the tailgating who then stormed the subway to head on to wherever they were going to watch the game on TV.

Its really frustrating to see the way our fellow countrymen have responded to this.

Its really not a good idea to make medical decisions based on your politics.

For a short while everyone listened, and respected the work of the healthcare professionals. Now, its a daily occurrence  for me to be laughed at, lied to, or yelled at. Usually all 3. And thats frustrating enough, but I really hate the people who have been through literal hell trying to work in epicenters of the disease who are suddenly completely discredited. This work deserves respect.

Whats worse is thinking of the next possible pandemic. Its actually scary to think about. Theres so many ways it could have been worse. We are actually lucky with this disease. It could have been something more transmissible, more deadly both overall, and in a wider range of the population (healthy people. young people....) To think that next time this happens much of our population has been conditioned to disregard medical guidance is downright scary. Sad. Incredibly frustrating.

He's a legit HOF'er in the making, not a lot of those become available. Will cost more than a first, unless we want to do a deal centred around Ertz.

Just to keep him off the Cowboys is good enough for me.

This.

Adding Adams is a pipedream.  Eagles don't have the trade capital nor the cap space to make it happen.

As another healthcare professional I second this excellent, and thoroughly RIGHT post.  Fortunately our resolve is ferocious.  Where i work we have over 400 elder residents, 240 staff, zero residents have tested positive,  2 staff have tested positive.   We have been diligent, most importantly,  respectful of the dangers, the people we care for, their families and our staff.   Its been challenging.  To read about the cavalier attitudes that can put so many vulnerable people at risk makes me realize what an established sense of selfishness we have to face from our fellow citizens.

Did you not see where I said no one in the stores are wearing masks and there is only I case in my county.

If I lived in a highly populated area or somewhere that had  the virus was a big problem I probably would have a different perspective

The guidelines and advice has changed so often that no one knows what to believe

This is how it’s going to be every fuuggin day for the rest of the year if there’s a football season....
