Here’s a pipe dream - Justin Jefferson at #21. Then package this years 2nd and next years 2nd to trade back into the first round and take Jeudy.

Djax    Jefferson     Ertz                 Jeudy

Put the pipe down.

If Jeudy is there at 21, he's the pick... then maybe they try to trade back up for Jefferson... but you might want to reconsider what's in the pipe you are smoking.

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Are you that Matt dude that posted his shirtless one a month ago? Still no to the selfie, but helps to put names to pecs on the new board

I don't know.  I mean it seems to be working.

please put it in spoiler tags for us.

Come on Jeudy or Lamb.

Game Theory at its best. This is exactly where I am at with everything. The Eagles current position gives them no leverage. Either a small trade up or you lose leverage with a trade back because people know the Eagles are stuck. And if they stay at 21, other options become realistic. They either have to trade up in the 1st for a top 4 or they have to move up in the 2nd...I don't like staying put for a WR.

I'm worried about the long term effects, or maybe it's too late already.

It's not exciting but they kinda have to. Other than him it's all old geezers.

ITS OFFICIAL.  THE WORLD IS COMING TO AN END!!!

Is it me, or does it seem like every year, outside of the Wentz year, the Eagles are always... ALWAYS... slotted to pick right at the point where the top prospects will likely be gone, and the 2nd tier guys start going....  weather its 21, 26, 16,  wherever... It seems to me like we are always 1-2 picks on the  outside looking in on the top prospects.

Total Confessions time:

  1.  Which player that the Eagles took were you MOST disappointed in and were RIGHT?
  2.  Which player did you ABSOLUTELY think the Eagles HAD TO GET, they didn't and he turned out to be a complete BUST?
  3. Which player were you disappointed the Eagles took and were WRONG?

1. Agholor hands down. I harped on and on that at best he was a third round slot receiver. Pretty much feel like i was spot on. He had a good year and a decent year here, but was mainly just a pain to watch. If he was a third round pick, I think the narrative on him changes around here a bit.

2. Not really a player I though they HAD to get, or that he was a can't miss prospect, but I thought Josh Doctson was going to be the best first round WR in that 2016 class. Guy just couldn't stay healthy or get it done. I'd say he's the closest to this I can think of for me. There have been players I did like a lot, that went undrafted or taken by other teams and sucked.

3. Maybe Jalen Mills to an extent, as I never really have been disappointed in an Eagles pick and turned out wrong. They usually always take players I'm not high on and turn out to be right so far lol or take players I like and they turn out decent/good depending on the round they were selected in. Then again, I've only been interested in the draft this heavily the past few years.

Maybe the NFL should move back to making the draft a complete lottery.

I’m not in favor of aiyuk in round 1. I’ve been saying I’d only take him second round. Same as i felt with agholor

The McNabb, Corey Simon and Lane Johnson drafts are the only one's besides Wentz I can even recall being in the top 16.

I think what the long term meaning is, is that we are typically an average, to slightly above average team. Which obviously puts us in the draft between picks 16 and 26.  We are not usually "bad" enough to get an elite draft prospect.  If we arent legit super bowl contenders, I would almost rather have a few sub 500 seasons to get a few top draft picks, then finish just outside of the playoffs and end up picking around 18-20 every year.

It would be a very Eagles pick.

Cox and graham they were in the top 16 via trade however

Kempski mentioned in the Trent Williams article the idea of packaging Dillard with the 21st pick to trade up and select presumably a WR. This is something I wondered the Eagles would consider doing over the last few days. I think the Eagles are pretty down on Dillard... something to watch for sure.

Yea, there were a few picks in the top 16 but we always had to trade up into

There is no WR in this draft I'd trade 21 + Dillard for, unless we get other picks/players back.
