Any info on when hockey will return?!

Mid August is the intention, I believe — resuming with a 24-team playoff.

Even as a Canadian I lose interest in the NHL playoffs by late May when the weather gets warm, unless the Flyers are on a deep run.  I can’t imagine tuning into it in August

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Yeah, if you actually want to look for it.

Nothing would surprise me any more

Let me preface this by saying Trump doesn't help himself at all and that I in no way support white supremacy.  With that being said, while they might be more vocal I don't see those on the far right causing destruction of our country.

You should probably re-think this take considering the Oklahoma City bombing, 96 Olympic bombing and multiple mass shooting events were all far right violence. And i'm not even including the Las Vegas shooting which was more than likely far right.

There can be vocal conservatives that are peaceful, don't lump the KKK or any psychos with them.

One tweet posted to a discussion board? You’re missing the point...

Nah, you are. You have a voice, discuss stuff. If you don't have anything and you don't want to participate in the other discussions then stop whining and do something else. It's not our job to find Eagles related stuff 24 hrs a day to keep you discussing things that you want to discuss. I mean there is really nothing much else going on.

TJ is one of the guys I'm looking most forward to this season. Him and Will Parks. I really think the defense can be much improved this year if some of these guys come into their own.

I've been seeing a bunch of crazy trade scenarios for Adams

I don't watch the Jets. Is he really that good?

Yes-ish. It depends on what you want out of him and how you plan on using him.

In the box like a Malcolm Jenkins role he's very, very good. If you want him to be your Earl Thomas, not so much. He can play both but he's much better closer to the LOS than as a single high. You are kinda wasting his talents playing him back.

It seems legit and it makes sense.

It should definitely help revenue

I don't see why this is that outlandish.

Shocking.

Nate Gerry is a player that I think could improve.  He actually played well at times.  I think he could be a decent coverage LB.  He needs to improve his tackling. I agree on Will Parks and Edwards.  I am hopeful that between Wallace, Mills and Parks the team can have a solid safety group.

I do think NASCAR as a whole deserves a lot of credit for the way this was handled. Really this was the best possible outcome.

I don't know what your last two rambling posts are supposed to me. I'll be honest I couldn't make it through them. Have a good one.

Really bro?  You're gonna disrespect a veteran like that?

Sheesh.

I absolutely believe he can.  What I saw from him as a rookie was legit.  He's got speed, he knew his gaps, and he wasn't getting washed the way Nate Gerry still does.

Hopefully he's spent this break getting stronger and quicker.  #HowiesUDFAgems

It's not because they are clearly going to lose money in those seats they will be covering up.  What is outlandish is how the league is not going to mandate how each stadium decides on how many people they allow in their crowd.

That's their what we believe page. I am struggling to see how there is anything wrong with this.

Edit for clarification: Not saying that I believe everything they do, but none of it seems nefarious to me. It's not trying to destroy our society, but make it more equal and better as far as they believe.

I mean this respectfully and not at all harshly, that content from BLM  reads like a manifesto written in high school elections. It's well intentioned, but filled with so many buzzwords and repetitions, most people will read it and think WTF are they going on about?

For everyone to understand the intentions and the message, it has to be really simple and written for the outside world, and not the supporters.

Training Camp cannot come soon enough.  The world needs a break from COVID-19 and BLM/Politics before we all go mad...

Did you see that the "nooses" in the Oakland park were actually exercise devices?

Feel good about Edwards in the coming season.  Not so much about Gerry.  He has the speed to cover, but lacking the tackling to bring players down.  This is a particular issue when we shall face Giants Barkley who is a powerful and fast RB.

The Athletic's Daniel Kaplan reports the NFL will allow teams to "set different attendance capacity limits."

Don't have a sub to The Athletic, but here is Roto's summary:

Quote

"Attendance will be a state-by-state, county-by-county thing,” were the words of Kaplan's source. "It will not be a one size fits all." Meaning, depending on the coronavirus restrictions in place in certain states, some teams could be forced to play before empty stadiums while others are allowed to have fans. That would be a foolish policy, for a variety of reasons. Aside from the public health concerns, it would creative a competitive imbalance. It would also provide incentive for teams to push the envelope, which will be the last thing many different areas need. The NFL has done an excellent job of applying universal COVID standards this offseason and would be well served by doing the same thing for the upcoming regular campaign.

Another reason Adams would make alot of sense.  The SS is so important for those cutback lanes.

Malcolm was particularly efficient at getting to those spots.  Regardless of the LB play, losing that element at the SS position will be a problem.

Though I do like what I saw out of the Will Parks tape...

I thought this was his biggest weakness and one of the reasons he went undrafted?  Regardless, I agree with your other points.  And even if he is slow, he seems to have that natural intuition to know where the play is going and where to be.  That alone makes up for his lack of speed.

Yeah, he’s slow.
