I'm kinda with you......I dont really follow politics and dont watch the news much.  Seems like its mostly negative.

But if players wanna protest during the anthem and speak about stuff during interviews then I'm cool with it.  I already know there are police out there that target and mistreat african Americans.  I know racism is out there in the world and exists.  I really dont need to have this info re-stated time and time again.  But these players are passionate about it and want to use their voice to try and inform others that may not know.  No problem with it.

If you can sit thru a game and see a million commercials that are stupid and a waste of time then a couple interviews about racial injustice and players kneeling during the anthem shouldn't harm anyone.

True... but normally we'd have OTAs to dissect after the draft... be looking forward to the start of TC in a few weeks, etc.   As we've all heard, this is unprecedented, but we are all in this together!

I think the older the demographic the less interest there is. There is still the younger generation, who I think do look up to these star athletes and have an interest in an individual player, and therefore more receptive to a message the player wants to send.

Anyway, I just think the up and arms about changing something on a Jersey is funny. Any time I watch basketball I don’t sit there and focus on their Jersey names, I actually watch the game. It’s akin to complaining about the NFLs "my cause my cleats”. I don’t watch a game and focus on the cleats. If I have an interest, I’ll look into their cause. If I don’t I will do something else with my day.

Seems like the beat writers still have no idea what kind of access they will have to TC. Some accepted there is no way they will be allowed in locker rooms anytime soon. I think it was Bowen who said he thinks they will have maybe one guy allowed to give practice reports. The rest of the coverage will probably be zoom group chats like it has been recently.

We need more celebrity sing alongs. Haven’t had any since the draft and everything has gotten worse.

Weirdly, you are correct.  I'm not sure that in this cause the correlation equals causation, but at this point, what do we have to lose.

Speaking of which, I wonder who the Superbowl halftime show will be this year.  Based on how the year has gone so far I'm guessing it'll be something like Yoko Ono and Fred Durst.

I was just thinking about the potential impact last years draft can have on the team.  It will say a lot about the players doing more on their own time and not around coaches as a paralell to the players they are and want to be. 

Dillard, JJAW and Miller immediately spring to mind as player that have an open in goal in front of them if they have done their work for the past few months.  JJAW is one that without social media, we have no idea if he'll be ripped or a dough boy when TC comes.

It'll also be interesting to see how much work TJ Edwards has done on his mobility this offseason.  He's a shoo in at MLB, but can be more valuable if he doesn't need to come off the field on passing downs. 

TC is going to be a really hard thing for teams working out where the hell all of the players are fitness wise and system wise.  So many jobs are there for the taking if a player taken the off-season seriously.  A quite loss for teams who with a new HC is they have lost an OTA and other activities in the pandemic, making it harder for them to start quickly.  It'll be interesting to see how much Dallas retain of the Clappers O in this season or if they accept a slow/simple start.
