I don't like debating lists like these because it could go either way for the most part, but what I will say regarding the Doug/McVay debate is that Doug handles chaos and adversary just as good as or better than any other coach in the league. We've seen that throughout the past three seasons. McVay loses a guy like Gurley or Kupp and they struggle pretty bad. 

If I'm comparing it to flight pilots, either one is fine when it's clear skies and sunshine. But if we're going through a storm give me Doug. And that makes him more valuable to me.
