Mad, Mad, Mad World, Rowan & Martin's Laugh In, 2000 Year Old Man, and the Oceans 11 movies were some of the things I really enjoyed Carl Reiner in.  Lived an amazing life.

RIP in peace.

Big fan of his son Rob, as well.

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Just watched the Bills game. We handily beat a good team in s hostile environment. I don’t know why everyone is concerned about Dillard. He looked great in that game.

I loved him as 'Ned Jones' in Parks and Rec.  Great character!

Damn straight.  Some really long runs from a few of my fav celebrities.  Betty White is 98, Bob Barker is 96, Jimmy Carter is 95 and still building houses(?) .... Norman Lloyd is 105; he looked ancient when he was in St. Elsewhere in the 80s

A number of years ago, my dad’s oldest brother and his wife spent some time building 30 Habitat for Humanity structures.  My aunt, who was a farm wife with six daughters so she was used to feeding a large crew, helped feed 1,500 people at the build. Jimmy and June Carter were there at the build. She got to have a long one on one with Jimmy.  Farmer to farmer, they could probably relate.  Was such a highlight for her that it is mentioned in her obit from when she passed at 90 this year.  My dad’s brother is still plugging away at 95.  Jimmy has been such a great ex-President.  Such a humanitarian.

Don't get me wrong... I'm just using this as an excuse to trash Peyton.

Lol I feel you. I do despise him and the saints. Michael Thomas is making his way towards following in the saints tradition.

I’d feel a lot worse for saints fans and Payton for that PI call if they weren’t dbags and crybabies. However i believe if that was actually called that they win that sb

Saints have enough talent to win the last 3 super bowls and i agree had the eagles in 2017 played saints instead of vikings saints probably win.

Im not sure they beat the Pats though i think the eagles were the only team that year that were going to beat the pats in the super bowl.

I meant the following year in 2019 playoffs where they didn’t call the PI on NRC vs. the rams. I think they were more likely to beat the patriots then the rams. I figured Goff would play like crap in that super bowl and he did.

Gotcha. I can agree with that as well, and i still think Saints have a good chance of beating eagles in 2017 if they beat vikings, but they didnt cuz they choked so boo hoo, bunch of whiners.

Kamara was whining all offseason then in 2018 they choke again he whines all off season and saints lose again then michael thomas starts running his mouth.

Saints are clowns they deserve all the bad Karma, Brees is a stand up guy and i think he has played well enough to have more than 1 trophy to show for it but thems the breaks.

I would rank my top 8 like this

1. belichick

2. reid

3. sean Payton

4. harbaugh

5. caroll

6. Pederson

7.  Shanahan

8.  Mcvey

only reason i go Carroll over pederson is that Carroll has just owned pederson head to head. I get some circumstances like wentz got hurt and injuries but he’s still 4-0 against Doug. To me harbaugh and Payton you could make the argument who’s better. I think it’s a toss up

As much as I hate Seattle, I can’t argue this. Carroll has the head to head, he has his own Super Bowl championship, and he has the edge in longevity. Hopefully Doug can start to crack that head to head record soon.

As well as his head to head with Payton.

Seattle and Saints just seem to be 2 teams that eagles really struggle with

Yup.

Seattle has flat out owned us ever since that God forsaken blowout game on the day we retired Reggie White's jersey. About as miserable a game as I have ever seen.

I vaguely remember that game, blocked most of it out😞

Blocked out most of that season tbh lol. All i remember is i went on Xmas eve to the eagles cardinals game out here. It was mccown vs. McMahon. Might have been the worst professional sports game I’ve ever gone to In my life.

Except... they got the ball to start in OT and they flubbed it,  So... too bad for them.  They had the chance to win it and they didn't take advantage of it.  They also got away with a bunch of 15 yard face masks that weren't called in that game.  Instead of crying over the lack of a call, they should have tried to actually play better when they had the chance.

So, I don't believe anything about what they could have done, since they didn't do what they could have done when they had the opportunity.

Ooof. Mcmahon was brutal. But yeah that season was forgettable.

Speaking of Rob Reiner — Norman Lear is still alive also; 4 weeks away from his 98th birthday

Lear was an absolute giant of television when I was growing up — All In The Family, The Jeffersons, Maude, Sanford and Son (great show), Good Times (hilarious), One Day At A Time (thanks for Valerie Bertinelli), and Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman — which I barely remember.

What happened to embedded tweets. Why do they look so ugly?

I'm pretty sure we haven't beat them since 2008 in Seattle - the game where Herremans caught a TD.

Don't remember if I've made this suggestion here before, but I saw a film recently called Yesterday dir. by Danny Boyle.  Concept is something happens, and just like that nobody in the world remembers the Beatles except for this guy, who happens to be a struggling musician.  I don't think it got much press last year when it came out.

Now, I'm much too young to remember the Beatles.  But my dad wasn't, and I know some of their classics because of him.  After seeing this, I was surprised how much of their sound has seeped into my brain all these years.  Anyway, this is the scene that absolutely hooked me.

If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend.  Lot of great music (obviously) and some really emotional scenes (Danny Boyle is awesome).

edit: He has no front teeth because he hit a bus on his bike when the 'thing' happened and knocked out power the night before.

I have that beat. I was at that 42-0 MNF game vs Seattle in 2005 lol.
