I need to hang out with Torrey and teach him about food.

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

parking here is like 10 bucks. Trust me there’s not enough people going for them to charge more and plenty of people charge 5 or 10 bucks. Food really isn’t that expensive here. They actually have family prices at the stadium. Like have a deal 5 bucks for hotdog and soda so 4 get for 20. Likely looking closer at 150-160.

also dbacks have 16 dollar tickets. And certain games it’s even less. Heck I’ve gone to a dbacks game for 5 bucks Cause people just try to get rid of tickets they can’t sell and actually paid more to go to an asu/Arizona baseball game at 12

at petco there’s really not a lot of parking. Most take the light rail into downtown which when i went was 5 bucks and kids under 10 were free. More expensive likely closer to 200. Which is still massively cheaper than nfl

Apples to oranges.

Baseball is about family outings... great American past time, etc. and there's 81 opportunities for a home game, and its just about every night of the week/Sunday afternoon.

Football is a major event, but it's really good for adults, not as much for kids, specifically young kids.  It's really an all-day event with the tailgates, etc.  And there's only 8 opportunities, so its either something that you do, or it's not.  But, baseball is 'something to do' on a given night, not the central focus of the week.

Well just like most cases, we dont know all the details.  I wanna believe Goedert's side but we weren't there.  Shouldn't rush to judgement.

I have — shockingly good!

I was prepped to hate it and rip a bunch of hippy friends of mine to shreds, but I have to admit, I liked it.

I did homemade. It was bad. I might need to just buy one at a store, but i'm kind of a pizza snob

There’s only like three things i refuse to still eat as an adult. Sour cream, olives and cucumber. I’d add honey dew but I’m just allergic to it.

You are missing out.   Some great flavor options available with those items.

Nah... once you've reached 30, you can't play the youth card for a less refined palate.  He needs to get from under his rock.

Since it's a message board and no ones life is hanging in the balance I think I'll rush to judgement.

yeah baseball is the thing you can plan out a few days before hand, you cant really do that (and do it right) with football

Nice.   Sorry...Cauliflower won't offer what I want from a pizza crust - gluten.  Cauliflower is the opposite of that.   If you want to call it something else, go for it, I'll try it.   But, don't call it 'pizza'.  Pizza crust has a very specific texture to me, and cauliflower can't make that happen.

I get that. Honestly it’s really not horrific in pricing for a family of four to be 150-200. Get 3-4 hours of entertainment, food and if you get there early enough batting practice and even autographs

Also the secondary market for baseball tickets is cheap. Like ive said gone to dbacks games for 5 bucks. San Diego when i lived there 10. Even dodgers games during the week I’ve gone for 10. Whereas secondary market for nba and nfl it’s still ridiculously expensive. It’s way easier to budget baseball then any of the major sports besides maybe hockey.

Palates continue to change as we age. I taste a lot less than when I was younger. More spice as I age. My dad switched from cigarettes to a pipe and didn’t give it up until I was an adult. My mom and mother in law both smoked close to three packs a day until they were in their sixties. Surprised they could taste at all.

After going to Italy for two months and experiencing the wood fired light thin crusts and pizza not drowned in tomato sauce, I find i just don’t enjoy American pizza as much anymore. Because we insist on eating it with hands instead of forks. Hate to betray my local pizzerias in this time of small business needs but I am seriously considering a portable wood fire oven I can use with my fire pit and making my own. Owe for one of those thin crust calzones with a couple layers of prosciutto instead of an inch of deli ham and thin layer of fresh mozzarella and maybe some Asiago and fresh basil.  Damn, I loved those, too.

Ive never had cauliflower crust, i like cauliflower but not sure i want it as a pizza crust. I have a vegan cousin and shes always posting pics about the things she eats, like vegan cheese😲 im not sure where vegan cheese is made from but everything she posts looks unappetizing and not healthy.

I dont eat a lot of meat or dairy, i eat lots of candy😄 but things like cauliflower pizza crust and beyond burgers and all that stuff isnt appetizing to me and a lot of it isnt that healthy either.

To each their own.

We went to Italy last year, even the little cheaper street pizza places are amazing. I find my self being disappointed by pizza here as well, then again i live in kansas which isnt exactly the pizza mecca of the world.

10,109 new COVID cases in FL, and a 11 year old death. Schools on track to open in about 5 weeks.

Still no mask mandates unless at a city/county level. Still no restrictions. I have no idea why the NBA is coming to play here.

And there’s no way these guys stay in their bubble. We’re talking about men in their 20s. They really think they won’t go out to bars, go socialize in general, go see their families, try to pick up women. Come on...

Jimmy Kempski’s mimosa replacement, champagne and a cherry I need to find a new cliche slammer. Oh the headache of mixing that much sugar with champagne.
